Crash on SH 360 in Arlington prompts road closures ahead of morning rush hour
A crash prompted a large portion of State Highway 360 in Arlington to shut down Friday morning. The crash was reported around 5:45 a.m. at SH 360 and Randol Mill Road, according to the Texas Department of Transportation. Arlington police said SH 360 is shut down southbound at Avenue J. At 6:30 a.m., traffic was backed up for several miles on SH 360. These lanes will be closed for about three hours, according to police. This story is developing. Check back for updates.

Weatherford shooting under investigation involving off-duty Arlington police officer, authorities say
A shooting involving an off-duty Arlington police officer is under investigation in Weatherford, authorities said. The shooting happened Sunday in the 2500 block of East I-20, according to Weatherford police. Arlington police confirm an off-duty officer was involved and is not injured. Per department policy, the officer has been placed on leave. The investigation is ongoing, Weatherford police said, and the Texas Rangers are on scene to assist. 3-year-old boy dies after possible drowning in east Arlington, police say
A 3-year-old boy died Friday after a possible drowning at a home in east Arlington, police said. Emergency personnel responded to the 2100 block of Overbrook Drive around 4:45 p.m. after receiving a report of a drowning, according to the Arlington Police Department. Getty Images Upon arrival, officers saw an adult carrying the unresponsive child to the front yard. They performed CPR until paramedics arrived, police said. The child was transported to a hospital, where he was later pronounced dead, police said Authorities are investigating to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident. CODI Alert issued for teenager last seen in Arlington
ARLINGTON, Va. () — Virginia State Police (VSP) issued a CODI Alert for the Arlington County Police Department after a teenage girl went missing. A CODI Alert for 13-year-old Anabella Clara Santos was issued on Friday at 8:15 p.m. She was last seen on foot on South Langley Street on Friday at 7:45 p.m. PHOTOS: Severe storms ravage the DMV Police describe Santos as 5'4″, 130 pounds, with brown hair and eyes. She was last seen wearing a black t-shirt, black shorts, green sandals, and white socks. Her hair was tied up in a ponytail. Suspect sought after alleged assault on woman at Arlington nature preserve, police say
Police are working to identify a man accused of assaulting a woman while she was walking at a nature preserve in Arlington. The incident happened around 9:30 a.m. Monday at the 59-acre Sheri Capehart Nature Preserve, located south of Interstate 20 near Bowman Springs Road. City Of Arlington [Parks And Rec According to police, the suspect grabbed the woman from behind and pushed her to the ground. She was able to fight him off and call for help. The suspect is described as a white man in his 30s, about 5 feet 4 inches tall and 200 pounds, with a bald head, pale complexion, and a Hispanic accent. He was last seen wearing a black shirt and blue jeans. The preserve features three ponds, a fishing pier, picnic areas, and scenic trails, according to the city's website. Police are reminding the public to stay alert, avoid walking or exercising alone, use only one earbud while walking, and report any suspicious activity to 911.
