Armie Hammer's ex-wife Elizabeth Chambers targeted in attempted break-in at her home in LA

Armie Hammer 's ex-wife Elizabeth Chambers had a scare at her home in Los Angeles early Monday morning. Chambers caught someone on her surveillance trying to enter her residence while she was away, according to TMZ. The TV personality called police immediately to report the attempted break-in. The outlet reported that the suspect had already left by the time the police arrived. No one was hurt and there was no sign of forced entry at Elizabeth's property, according to their sources. Chambers recently moved back to the states in September 2024 with her kids - after living in the Cayman Islands since early 2020. Chambers shares two children — daughter Harper, nine, and son Ford, seven — with 38-year-old Hammer, who she split from in July 2020 after 10 years of marriage. Their divorce was finalized in 2023 and they agreed to shared custody of Harper and Ford. Chambers is the CEO of BIRD Bakery, which launched in 2012 with locations in Texas and Colorado, and she hosted a new TV series called Toxic about toxic and traumatic relationships for Investigation Discovery. During an appearance at Modern Day Wife's SO LET'S SHOP event in SLS Beverly Hills in November 2024, she spoke exclusively to about her new outlook. When asked how she 'defines' herself nearly four years after Hammer's public downfall cast an unwanted shadow over her personal and professional life, the TV personality cited her 'integrity' as well as her strength as a mother, friend and businesswoman. 'I think that what defines me as a woman is what kind of mother I am, what kind of boss that I am, what kind of friend that I am,' Chambers began. 'So yeah, integrity is everything right? We have one chance to do it right. As a mother, as a friend, as a leader. 'And that is the most important thing,' she concluded. She spoke about living in Grand Cayman, where she waited out her 'wild divorce' as well as a the global COVID-19 pandemic, in a candid Instagram post shared in late September. 'Almost five years ago, the kids and I left for what we thought would be a three day boat trip in St. Barts. While we were on the boat, COVID escalated and we traveled to Grand Cayman for early spring break and to be with family for what we expected to be a couple weeks at most,' she wrote to her Instagram followers. 'A full global pandemic and a wild divorce later, our time in Cayman came to an end and we returned to Los Angeles.' She included footage of herself, daughter Harper and movers from Roadway Moving transporting their belongings from a local storage unit to their new Los Angeles abode. Her ex-husband paid a visit to the new house as she and the kids were moving in on September 11, as per photos obtained by When Chambers first announced the move in August, she thanked her new boyfriend Ricardas Kazinec, a wellness therapist she's been dating since September 2022, for helping her make the transition from Grand Cayman to Los Angeles. Her ex-husband Hammer moved back to LA over the summer — nearly four years after his once promising career in Hollywood came to an abrupt end following his sexual abuse controversy and accusations that he was a 'cannibal.' In February 2021, Armie's ex-girlfriend, Effie Angelova, 26, accused him of 'violently' raping and abusing her in 2017. Several other women — including model Paige Lorenze — also came forward to accuse the actor of abuse, sexual coercion and suggested he had a disturbing cannibalism 'kink.' Hammer denied the accusations of rape through his attorney and said all of his sexual encounters were 'completely consensual, discussed and agreed upon in advance and mutually participatory'. Last year, the Los Angeles County District Attorney announced that Hammer would not face any charges in the sexual assault case due to 'insufficient evidence.' Weeks after moving back to LA in August 2024, the actor sounded optimistic as he told his Instagram followers that he was ready for 'a new car, in a new apartment, in a new life.' Giving rare insight into his finances post-scandal, he admitted that he could no longer afford to put gas in the truck that he's owned since 2017. 'Since being back in L.A., I have put about $400 or $500 worth of gas in it and I can't afford it. I can't afford the gas anymore,' he confessed. Because of this, Hammer had to sell the truck and he now drives a 'tiny' hybrid car. More recently, Hammer launched his very own podcast — The Armie HammerTime Podcas t — where he has candidly addressed his various controversies. The very first episode was filmed inside of Hammer's modest Los Angeles apartment and featured fellow actor Tom Arnold as a guest. Last year, he used his platform to joke about being called a 'cannibal rapist' while seated beside his elderly mother Dru, who came to her son's defense by reminding audiences that he was 'completely exonerated' of any crimes. While he's no longer an A-list leading man, Hammer did recently reveal that he is starring in a Western film called Frontier Crucible, which began shooting in November 2024, according to Deadline. It marks his first acting project since he was ousted from Hollywood.

Armie Hammer's ex-girlfriend, Paige Lorenze, is engaged to tennis star Tommy Paul. Paige also previously dated NHL hockey player Kasperi Kapanen, country singer Morgan Wallen and television personality Tyler Cameron. During a 2024 interview with Piers Morgan, Hammer confirmed he did trace the letter 'A' with the tip of a knife, but claimed he didn't draw blood or try to "brand" his initial on Paige. He said: "I wouldn't say brand, no. "There was a scenario that we talked about beforehand, that we had discussed where, you know, I would basically take a little, tiny point and just kind of trace the letter 'A' — just like the tip of a small knife. I mean, there wasn't even blood in the situation. It was more like a scrape… It's along the lines of couples getting their own initials tattooed on each other.'" Paige had recounted to the "It was like a real life 50 Shades Of Grey without the love. "His actions and behaviour are dangerous and emotionally and psychologically damaging. He is saying people are kink-shaming him and should not comment on his sex life, but BDSM is a smoke screen for him wanting to hurt women. "You can be just as traumatised by consensual sex. It's unacceptable that he coerces women into agreeing to let him hurt them." However, Hammer's attorney told the outlet: "These assertions about Mr. Hammer are patently untrue. Any interactions with this person, or any partner of his, were completely consensual in that they were fully discussed, agreed upon, and mutually participatory."

If you have to watch one Netflix movie in July 2025, stream this one

Finding the right movie to watch on Netflix can be difficult even if you have some idea of what you want to watch. Netflix has an algorithm that's supposed to surface the right stuff for you, but the streamer is also heavily invested in promoting its own new stuff. So, if you're looking for a great movie to watch on the streamer, we'd recommend starting with The Man from U.N.C.L.E. This largely forgotten 2015 spy movie is adapted from a '60s TV show of the same name. Here are three reasons you should check it out: Recommended Videos We also have guides to the best new movies to stream, the best movies on Netflix, the best movies on Hulu, the best movies on Amazon Prime Video, the best movies on Max, and the best movies on Disney+. It's a spy thriller in the old-fashioned sense Although the stakes of The Man from U.N.C.L.E. are very real, the movie itself has a distinct, light tone. The movie is set at the height of the Cold War and follows a CIA agent and a member of the KGB as they are forced to put aside their differences to track down a rogue actor who threatens to upset the fragile peace between their two countries. For the most part, though, this is a movie that goes heavy on witty banter, colorful costumes, and set pieces that are a perfect mix of high stakes and fizzy fun. This is a great movie, but one that feels like the James Bond movies that were made in the 1960s, but with better effects. It's anchored by hugely charismatic stars A decade after its release, one of the reasons The Man from U.N.C.L.E. is so compelling is that it stars three potential movie stars who never quite got the break they deserved. Henry Cavill, Alicia Vikander, and Armie Hammer are all excellent in this movie, and Cavill essentially gets to show us what he would have been like as James Bond. The results are as smirky and smarmy as you might expect, but laced with so much charisma that it's impossible not to be charmed. Vikander is just as good and is doing something she rarely got the chance to do: playing a character who is compelling largely because of her screen presence. The movie is Guy Ritchie at his best Few directors are more polarizing than Guy Ritchie, and understandably so. From movie to movie, he can go from making something entertaining to something utterly repugnant. With The Man from U.N.C.L.E., though, Ritchie leaned into all of his best instincts and made a movie that has all the fizz and fun of his best work, but without any of the baggage. It definitely helps that he's aided by a competent script that is equal parts smart and tight, but Ritchie proves here that he can make down-the-middle action movies that are much better than passable. You can watch The Man from U.N.C.L.E. on Netflix.
