ASOS just restocked the most sought-after wedding guest dress of the season - but you'll have to be quick
From that strapless polka dot midi from Nobody's Child to that fish-embroidered maxi from Farm Rio – each summer, there's a handful of dresses that throw the internet into a frenzy. The latest entry to this club? A sequin midi dress from ASOS in the season's hottest colour trend: butter yellow. Hailed by TikTok as the ultimate wedding guest dress, it sold out instantly the first time around, but we've been keeping an eye on the website and it has just been restocked in all sizes. Priced at £210, the dress in question is courtesy of Arrange, the retailer's premium womenswear brand. It has a flattering square neckline, a full midaxi skirt, and is covered in oversized sequins that have been sewn on by hand. It's certainly not an item you'd add to your everyday wardrobe, but rather a dress that you'd reserve for a special occasion – and with wedding season in full swing, it's no surprise it's selling like hotcakes. No matter what occasion you have in mind for this dress, just make sure to check if there's a dress code as you'll be turning heads. We'd probably only wear it to a formal or black tie wedding – and we'd keep the rest of our look very minimal, with a pair of dainty earrings and barely-there sandals. That said, it would be a perfect choice for the opera, a big birthday bash or even your holiday, teamed with some flat sandals to dress it down. The dress is selling out fast, so if you're thinking about adding it to your basket, we'd do it sooner rather than later. And if you've missed out – or you can't find your size – scroll down because we've browsed the ASOS website for some stylish wedding guest dress alternatives. This New Asos Brand Is Full Of Covetable Plus-Size Wedding Guest Looks
All linked products are independently selected by our editors. If you purchase any of these products, we may earn a commission. R29 Contributing Editor Sarah Chiwaya (aka Curvily) is a 'shops-for-a-living' expert on plus-size fashion. Follow along as she tests new drops with inclusive size ranges, recommends the best plus shopping destinations, and serves up styling tips and looks. So much of what is on the market for plus-size shoppers plays it safe — particularly lately, as many brands that were previously dipping a toe into extended sizing have rolled the initiative back, or those that did value size inclusivity have closed entirely — that I am always looking for interesting options in sizes over 14. So when I heard that Arrange, the new Asos-exclusive label, carries sizes up to 26, I was curious to check it out. My initial perusal on the site got my excitement up: The label had a great mix, with a selection of really cool, fashion-forward pieces; staples like casual tees and sharp denim; and styles like this embroidered, fringe-accented dress that look like that elusive vintage find we all hope for (but, unlike most vintage, is actually available in sizes up to US 26). Arrange is available in straight and plus sizes, and each category and aesthetic is represented well in both size ranges, though the styles are not always exactly the same. (For the styles that are the same in both straight and plus, the prices are the same as well — none of the dreaded plus-size markup here that some other brands have adopted.) While Arrange is only a few collections in, the selection seems regularly updated with options in timely trends, which is not always a given with extended sizes. One category in particular is standout: dresses. If you are looking for a plus-size wedding guest dress that is more fashion and less prom, Arrange has plenty of unique designs, considered materials, and modern styles. I tried five different wedding guest-ready dresses for different vibes and venues. Before I dive into my feedback on each one, some notes: While I often prefer to size up when trying new brands, instead of risking that something might be too tight in my usual US 20 size, you do not need to size up in this line. Asos clearly put work into the fit of these items, so plus-size shoppers don't have to do extensive mental calculations about sizing when ordering online. I also appreciate that if an Arrange piece is meant to be oversized, it will already be oversized at your regular size, so you don't have to size up just to get the vibe right. The one issue I had with the line was a more personal one: I'm 5'4' and a half, and even in heels, the long dresses were too long for me. It was not just hem lengths either — many of the bodices seem to be made for someone with a longer torso. The dresses I tried worked on me, and they were all very cute and wearable, but if I were wearing any of the longer pieces to a wedding, I would have them hemmed beforehand so they wouldn't trip me up after a few signature cocktails. All to say: If you are on the taller side, I'd recommend these dresses even more vehemently. Now onto the looks... Plus-Size Guest Dress: Destination Wedding The moment I saw this asymmetrical gown online, I knew it was the perfect pick to be the best-dressed guest at a beachy wedding, particularly one that is more on the formal side. The deep aqua color is vibrant without reading casual, and the flowy crêpe material drapes nicely and is satin-backed, so if you get hit by a gust of wind (like I did repeatedly while taking these pics!), there's no unsightly lining at risk of peeking out. Most importantly: The dress has pockets! All those details already make it a winner in my book, but the cool shoulder accent is what sets it apart. The gold-tone spiral got me so many compliments on the way to shoot this alone that I just know it would be a hit at a reception. The true gown length (that extends to the floor) makes it a possibility for a black tie event as well, though I would add a belt for a bit more shape and structure in that case. A dainty gold tone chain belt would match the shoulder detail beautifully, but you could also add a tonal fabric belt. Plus-Size Wedding Guest Dress: Cocktail Party Many plus-size options feel more like bridesmaid (or worse, prom) dresses than a considered wedding guest outfit, so this structured taffeta dress is a welcome departure from the usual sheath gown formula. With a drop basque waist and pannier-like volume at the hips from the hidden tulle under the pleated detailing, this dress reminds me more of a designer runway look than something you would buy off the reasonably priced Asos. The dusky blue hue is stunning in person, too. The elevated premise of Arrange is especially noticeable in this dress, from the substantial fabric to the built-in structure and pockets. There are thoughtful details throughout, including adjustable straps and a soft lining to keep scratchy tulle from touching your skin. The tea length is formal enough for all but the strictest of black tie dress codes, and is great if you want to show off a fantastic pair of shoes. This dress is pretty much perfect, in my wedding guest book. Plus-Size Guest Dress: Formal Wedding While I love a good strappy or one-shoulder number, sometimes you need more coverage, whether it's because the ceremony is at a place of worship or you just don't feel like wearing a strapless bra for hours. That doesn't mean you want to wear a dated, frumpy, mother-of-the-bride style dress (which unfortunately accurately describes a lot of the plus selection in formalwear if you want any type of sleeve at all). Arrange has some cool pieces that successfully combine coverage and cuteness. Made from a buttery soft modal jersey blend, this long-sleeve dress felt just as good as it looked. The asymmetrical draped pleating detail made it more polished than the average jersey maxi, and the heavy metal goldtone accent at the waist is right on trend. My only critique of this dress is that it is listed as 'red,' but it reads more vibrant orange in real life. If you are looking for something less formal but still thoroughly considered, this sheer organza overlay dress fits the bill. The muted sage hue is a 2025 favorite, and the flower appliques in varying sizes give it dimension and a ton of visual interest, especially when they flutter in the breeze. After trying it on, I realized I could have sized down from my usual US 20 if I wanted a slightly less dramatic trapeze silhouette, though I still found it to be true to size for the intended spacious effect. The opaque lining of this dress hit just above my knee while at rest, but when I put my arms up to see what it would be like dancing, it got significantly shorter. I wore neutral slip shorts underneath, and I'd recommend the same for my taller friends. Plus-Size Wedding Guest Dress: Nighttime Party As a self-described magpie (I love sparkly things!), this oversized paillette dress immediately caught my eye. I wasn't sure how I'd feel about the elbow-length sleeves or the boxy silhouette, but once I put it on, all my concerns were immediately assuaged. This was the only dress I sized up in (I tried a US size 22), but it turns out I didn't need to. This is a very roomy style, and while the T-shirt cut looked good in the size up, I think it fit even better in 20 when I tried it on later at the ASOS pop-up in NYC. That confirmed my impression that Arrange runs consistently true to size, which is always so good to see. This dress is even more stunning in person, with the varied sizes of the paillettes adding dimension and giving the effect of even more shine. When I shot this in the late evening sun, I felt like a human disco ball, in the very best way possible. All I wanted to do was shimmy and dance around in this, so it would be perfect for a rooftop wedding reception or any nighttime event that calls for sparkle and shine. Once again, my only criticism is with the color name. This dress is listed as 'light blue,' but, in real life, it has a gray base with gray-silver paillettes; I can't find any blue in it at all — unless the mirror-like discs are currently reflecting something blue. (This one had me feeling like the ' grey couch girl ' who recently went viral on TikTok for being convinced that her [very grey] couch was blue.) Again, this is a quibble, but between this and the 'red' dress, I'd advise judging color based on what you see on the site and not what it is listed as.

You can shop ASOS IRL at the brand's first-ever U.S. pop-up this week in NYC
Want to give your wardrobe a summery boost? You can do what you usually do and give the "New In" section of ASOS a quick digital browse— or you can shop that beloved British retailer IRL at the brand's first-ever U.S. pop-up store, which has taken over Soho 's 120 Wooster Street through Sunday, June 22. 'Bringing its trend-forward aesthetic to SoHo, NYC, one of the city's most iconic neighbourhoods for style and culture," per the brand, the immersive two-story pop-up shop features a curated edit of spring/summer 2025 styles across women's and men's clothing, accessories, and shoes, spanning exclusive drops, seasonal pieces and e-commerce collections. Shoppers are able to peruse both ASOS-owned and partner brands, including Arrange, ASOS's "premium, craft-focused label designed in London by a women-led team (and yes, that does mean dresses with pockets)" that launched this past March. And as with the usual ASOS digital experience, the sartorial stock at the pop-up boutique is separated into themed sections (think "Euro Summer" and "Party Vibes"), with items priced between ten bucks and $300. Can't find your size or favorite color in store? Given that ASOS is first and foremost an "e-tailer," customers will be able to scan the QR code on any given item, which will then take them to the product's specific purchase URL on the ASOS website. The UK-based fashion giant, which boasts 20 million active customers in over 200 markets worldwide, debuted its first pop-up store in London in November 2023. And if all goes well in New York, the retailer will continue to expand its physical presence stateside with even more planned activations throughout the U.S. "Right now, this is a test-and-learn moment," Sean Trend, ASOS' Managing Director, told Forbes. "We're focused on making this first activation a success and exploring how we might bring similar experiences to other U.S. cities. While permanent retail isn't the immediate plan, if the response is strong, we would love to take the concept to other cities, and we may even invite our customers to help decide where we go next."

Livvy Thompson, head of Marketing at ASOS, added: '[This] is a bold celebration… bringing fashion, beauty, and culture together in a fresh and immersive way — a true reflection of what our customers love about this season.' She added: 'This campaign is about more than just shopping; it's about bringing the summer energy to London, creating unforgettable moments and inspiring our community to show up as their most confident, expressive selves.'

The 10 ASOS new-in pieces that flatter every shape for summer – according to a fashion pro & they start at just £12
Click to share on X/Twitter (Opens in new window) Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window) AS someone who lives and breathes fashion day-to-day, ASOS is one of my go-to shopping destinations. There are so many real gems on there and I've lost count of the amount of times I've said 'thanks, it's from ASOS'. 11 Emily Regan, of Fabulous' fashion desk, checks ASOS' new in page every day - here are her top recommendations Credit: Fabulous As well as own in-house brands, including ASOS Design, ASOS Edition and most recently a new premium line, Arrange, it also offers hundreds of other external brands to shop. In February 2021, it brought out high-street giant Topshop, previously a part of the Arcadia group which is now designed in house and stocked online- only (but maybe not for long as there has been speculation that it will be coming back to the high-street - hurrah!) However, with all these brands comes a lot of products, with plenty of newness dropping online each day. So it's safe to say shopping the site can be pretty overwhelming. And it's true, who wants to spend time tirelessly scrolling trawling through thousands of products to find exactly what they're looking for. Whenever I mention Asos, the usual response is 'How did you find that?' And my simple answer is that I scroll the 'new in' section every single day. Every morning, on my commute to work, i'll check what's new and add anything I love to my favourites, it's just become a part of my morning routine. So as a true ASOS super-fan, I've handpicked a curated selection of my top new-in arrivals for spring/summer which are well worth nabbing before they sell out. TOPSHOP COMEBACK THE BEST OF NEW IN 11 High neck structured maxi dress, £75 Credit: ASOS These hybrid dresses are making their way onto the high street thick and fast. This stone one is a great way to incorporate the sheer trend into your wardrobe, without feeling over-exposed. With a waved hemline and dramatic v-style back, this dress is a master piece for occasions, think black-tie gala, ladies day at the races or elegant dinners on holiday - it covers all basis. It's super elegant, shows off just the right amount of skin and looks way more luxe than the £75 price tag suggests. Plus, it'll never go out of style so it'll be a piece you reach for time and time again. 11 Bermuda shorts, £32 Credit: ASOS In my opinion, no wardrobe is really complete without a pair of bermuda shorts and this tailored chocolate brown pair are no exception. Their tailored look makes them super versatile - smart enough for the office yet effortlessly cool for the weekend and the light-weight fabric is comfortable even on hotter days. Plus, they go with just about anything, from shirts to t-shirts and jumpers, or you could even invest in the matching cinched blazer for the ultimate workwear co-ord. 11 Embroidered suede jacket, £300 Credit: ASOS When I saw this piece, I actually gasped! Brown suede jackets have been trending since last autumn but this lighter beige one is a much better alternative for Spring. While it does come with a slightly higher price tag, I do think it's well worth the investment. The embroidered floral detail is jaw-dropping and it's real suede so it's built to last. If you're heading to any festivals this year and want to make a statement then this is the way to do it, pair with some cowboy boots and you're good to go. it's a great layering piece that'll take you beyond festival season and well into autumn. 11 Sandals, £16 Credit: ASOS Everybody needs a good pair of summer sandals, so if you need to upgrade then now's the time. This thong-style pair are a great throw on and go style, but it's the gold detailing that really makes feel a little bit more special and adds versatility. They'd look lovely with a linen trouser suit for work or paired with a summer dress at a garden bbq. Plus, if you're travelling light they'll be just as perfect by the pool as they will be on an evening on holiday, the possibilities are endless. And if you're not a gold girl, they come in a silver colourway too. 11 Co-ord vest, £50, skirt, £55 Credit: ASOS The best thing about a co-ord is that it makes getting dressed so much easier. So if you're looking for your next festival outfit, something for girls trip to Ibiza or planning what to wear to that all important concert, then look no further. This set by ASOS design will have you shimmering like a disco-ball all night long. If you're into the idea but not quite sure if you'd rock the whole set, they'd look equally as great as separates. Pair the skirt with a simple white vest top or t-shirt or team the shimmering vest with some denim shorts for a parred down, yet still sparkling look. 11 Straw bag, £42 Credit: ASOS If you're anything like me, shopping for a beach bag often means I'm faced with the overwhelming dilemma of choosing between practicality and style. This circular straw bag is part of Topshop's latest summer collection and proves that you can have both. It's fringe detail makes a stylish statement and it's roomy enough to fit everything you need inside. Plus it sits comfortably on your shoulder so that you can carry it all with ease. Whilst it would look great on the beach, this bag is not made to be a one-trick-pony. It's spacious and stylish enough for a day out in the city, a stroll through the park or even a supermarket dash. 11 Graphic T shirt, £20 Credit: ASOS Graphic tees are really thriving right now and ASOS is absolutely stacked with so many to choose from. It can be tricky to find the balance between cool and cringe with these but I think this one gets it just right. It feels fun without trying too hard, ideal for dressing down with jeans or layering under a blazer for a cool off-duty look. 11 Pleated Maxi Skirt, £95 Credit: ASOS Just yesterday, ASOS' in-house premium brand, Arrange launched their latest spring/summer collection and it's safe to say it's full of some seriously stunning pieces. At the top of my wish list is this gorgeous pleated maxi skirt in off-white. I've recently hopped onto the maxi-skirt bandwagon myself, and I can't stop wearing mine, they're so easy to style. But this one feels a step above, the pleats make it look high-end. It's the sort of skirt that you can dress up and down, and still look put together each time. 11 Earrings, £12 Credit: ASOS Looking for some accessories to amp up your spring/summer wardrobe? I've always been impressed with ASOS' selection of jewellery and this pair in particular instantly caught my eye. The resin drop style is everywhere at the moment, and at just £12, these are a bargain. Plus they'll add a subtle pop of colour to your neutral outfits, without clashing. 11 Stripe trousers, £46 Credit: ASOS Linen trousers are a summer essential, in my eyes no wardrobe is truely complete without a pair. This striped style have been everywhere on my 'for you page' recently, they're blowing up right now and have just been restocked in this gorgeous new colourway. These stripes really make a statement, plus they're so easy to style. Just pair them with a simple white vest or oversized shirt and you've got a look that feels considered but in reality is so simple to create.
