Google Pixel Buds 2a leak tells us new color options — and a surprise option for the Pro 2

As rumors swirl around a potential mid-year launch for new Pixel 10 phones, we get a small glimpse into the future of the Pixel buds lineup. It's been a good 4 years or so since we saw a pair of a series buds come from Google, although it looks like the wait for budget buds is soon coming to an end. It's an early leak and one that's pretty barebones, but X user Arsène Lupin has given us an idea of what colors to expect the so-called "Pixel Buds 2a" to come in. Google Pixel Buds 2aHazel, Strawberry, Iris, Fog LightJuly 3, 2025 So there's not much to go on here — no technical details, no images and no launch date. Just a list of colors. Apparently, we'll be getting the Google Pixel Buds 2a in "Hazel, Strawberry, Iris, Fog Light." Those are completely different from the current lineup of colors of the Pixel Buds A-Series — Sea, Dark Olive, Clearly White and Charcoal — although Hazel is shared by the Google Pixel Buds Pro 2. It's a dark brown, if you're wondering. What will the other colors look like? Iris and Fog Light sound pretty nebulous, but Strawberry is almost certainly going to be some kind of pink or red. As for the price or release date? No clue. Lupin tends to leak stuff closer to release, mind you, so it's likely we're looking at something coming fairly soon. There was another leak as well — for another color. According to the same leaker in another X post, we're going to see the Pixel Buds Pro 2 come out in a color called "Sterling." That sounds like a silver to me, although I'm colorblind so I could be completely off base. Either way, we're looking at some potential new earbuds and a new color for an older pair. I'm excited to see where the Pixel Buds 2a land on our list of best earbuds, once we've got them in for testing. Google Pixel Buds A-Series might finally be getting a follow-up

Lil Katz / Android Authority TL;DR Google's got a big launch coming up this summer, with the Pixel 10 series set to debut. A new rumor suggests the company's also working on new 'Pixel Buds 2a' affordable earbuds. We could also get a new color option for the Pixel Buds Pro 2. Can you believe it's been four whole years now since Google introduced its affordably priced Pixel Buds A-Series earbuds? In the years since we've got not just one, but two generations of Pixel Buds Pro models, but without any new motion on the A-Series side of the fence. Now in 2025, with the Pixel 10 family getting ready to make its debut, is it finally time we see Google do something about that? A new rumor sure claims as much, with leaker Arsène Lupin returning to X to follow up their report on Pixel 10 color options with some tantalizing suggestions about what Google's planning for its audio accessories. By the sound of this, Google could be planning to have the Pixel 10 family share the stage with a new 'Pixel Buds 2a' that would be available in your choice of Hazel, Strawberry, Iris, and Fog Light. We're nor sure if that Buds 2a branding is supposed to be descriptive or how the earbuds would actually arrive, but it does represent a minor departure from the A-Series we have now. At least we can appreciate that the color options listed here sound a bit more vibrant than the neutral tones in which the A-Series is currently available. Speaking of colors, Lupin drops another minor detail, claiming that we're also getting a new option for the Pixel Buds Pro 2, with the four existing shades being joined by a new Sterling colorway. We've heard Sterling Gray mentioned as a possible Pixel 10 color before (although Lupin's recent report does not include it) but now we're curious if this could be just another matte option, or if it might represent some kind of new metallic finish. Although these earbud rumors land amidst a flurry of claims about Pixel 10 phones and their accessories, there's technically nothing here that asserts we'll see them all arrive together, so we assume it's possible that Google may hold back their introduction until some point later in the year. At least, it feels a little odd we haven't heard more about them if they're really launching in just another few weeks, but that's still plenty of time for more Buds 2a leaks to arrive. Got a tip? Leaked render reveals Meta's Hypernova smart glasses and wristband controller

TL;DR A newly leaked render shows off Meta's upcoming 'Hypernova' smart glasses alongside its wrist controller accessory. Hypernova is expected to feature a screen in the right lens, an upgraded camera, and the ability to launch apps for taking photos and accessing maps. Users will also be able to see notifications. The 'Ceres' neural wristband will reportedly power gesture-based controls for the device. Hypernova is expected to cost $1,000–$1,400 and is said to be coming by the end of the year. Meta's smart glasses with Ray-Ban have been a runaway hit, and the company is doubling down with more style variants. Beyond these, the company is also rumored to be working on a higher-end version of the smart glasses with a built-in screen, which is expected to launch by the end of the year. These glasses, codenamed Hypernova, have now leaked, giving us our first look at the next generation of Meta's AI smart glasses. Leaker Arsène Lupin has shared a render of a pair of smart glasses and a wrist accessory, claiming the pair to be the upcoming Meta Hypernova glasses. Granted, this is a rather low-resolution render, but it at least gives us a fair look at the wrist accessory. What is this wrist accessory, you ask? A previous report claims that the Hypernova glasses will come with a 'neural' wristband controller, codenamed Ceres. These controllers were in the works for Meta's Orion AR glasses, but they could also seemingly be used by Hypernova to recognize hand gestures such as rotating the hand to scroll through apps, and pinching fingers and thumb to select items. It's unclear if the pictured wristband controller is the Ceres controller, but it likely is. As for the Hypernova glasses themselves, they don't look all that different from the current generation Meta Ray-Bans, but previous leaks suggest these include a built-in screen. The monocular screen will only be visible in the lower-right quadrant on the right lens, but we can't make out the screen in this low-resolution render. When turned on, the display will show a home screen comprised of circular icons laid out horizontally, similar to the app dock that we see on a lot of devices. Users will be able to use dedicated apps to take pictures, view photos, and even access maps. Other expected functions are said to include notification support for phone apps, including WhatsApp and Messenger. These glasses are said to be controlled using hand gestures using Ceres and capacitive touch on the sides of the frame. Meta is also said to be working to upgrade the camera on board the glasses. Meta's Hypernova smart glasses are expected to be priced between $1,000 and $1,400. The final price (and potentially the final marketing name) will be decided closer to the announcement. Meta is also said to be already working on a second-generation version of the product, codenamed Hypernova 2, which will have two screens but won't come out until at least 2027. Got a tip? Galaxy Watch 8 leak reveals potential color options for all three models

Kaitlyn Cimino / Android Authority TL;DR A new leak has revealed the potential color options for Samsung's upcoming Galaxy Watch 8 lineup. The company could offer the base Galaxy Watch 8 and the Galaxy Watch 8 Classic in two colorways. The next-gen Ultra variant may get an additional third color option. As we draw closer to Samsung's next Galaxy Unpacked event, we're seeing an increasing number of leaks about the upcoming Galaxy devices. Over the last few weeks, we've learned a few details about the much-awaited Galaxy Watch 8 series, including the design and hardware improvements. While Samsung has yet to make anything official, a new leak has revealed the potential color options for the three models in the lineup. Tipster Arsène Lupin recently took to X to share details about the colorways and size options Samsung plans to offer for each Galaxy Watch 8 model. The company will reportedly offer the base model in Graphite and Silver colorways, which will be available in 40mm and 44mm sizes. The slightly more premium Galaxy Watch 8 Classic will come in a single 46mm variant in Black and White color options. The top-of-the-line Galaxy Watch Ultra 2025 will be available in three colors: Titanium Blue, Titanium Gray, and Titanium Silver. The tipster further claims that the Galaxy Watch 8 and Galaxy Watch 8 Classic will be available with both Wi-Fi-only and LTE connectivity, and Samsung will pack 64GB of onboard storage on the Ultra variant. We expect more details about the Galaxy Watch 8 lineup to surface in the weeks leading up to the launch, which could occur early next month. Samsung has not yet shared an official launch date, but leaks suggest that the Unpacked event could happen on July 10. Got a tip? Talk to us! Email our staff at Email our staff at news@ .
