Hubley man dies following motorcycle crash in Aspotogan: N.S. RCMP

A RCMP vehicle is pictured on July 3, 2025. (CTV Atlantic / Callum Smith) A 70-year-old Hubley, N.S., man has died following a crash in Aspotogan, N.S. Lunenburg District RCMP and EHS responded to Highway 328 around 10:40 a.m. Sunday, after a report that a motorcyclist was seen off the highway. 'The initial investigation indicates the motorcycle left Hwy. 329 at a sharp turn and went over an embankment,' reads a news release from Nova Scotia RCMP. Police say the Hubley man was the lone rider, and he was pronounced dead at the scene. The road was closed for several hours, but reopened around 3:30 p.m. An RCMP collision reconstructionist attended the scene and the investigation is ongoing. Highway 329 to be ‘closed for several hours' due to collision: N.S. RCMP

RCMP shared on social media around 11 a.m. that Highway 329 in the Aspotogan area is closed. 'The roadway will be closed for several hours between Captain's Way and Government Wharf,' police wrote shortly before noon. Police are asking the public to avoid the area and expect delays.
