Man, 70, dies after motorcycle goes over embankment
A 70-year-old man has died after the motorcycle he was driving went over an embankment in Aspotogan, N.S. RCMP say officers received a report around 10:40 a.m. AT on Sunday that a man and a motorcycle had been spotted off Highway 329. The driver, who was from Hubley, died at the scene. Police say they believe the motorcycle left Highway 329 at a sharp turn and went over the embankment. The highway was closed for several hours.

Lunenburg District RCMP and EHS responded to Highway 328 around 10:40 a.m. Sunday, after a report that a motorcyclist was seen off the highway. 'The initial investigation indicates the motorcycle left Hwy. 329 at a sharp turn and went over an embankment,' reads a news release from Nova Scotia RCMP. Police say the Hubley man was the lone rider, and he was pronounced dead at the scene. The road was closed for several hours, but reopened around 3:30 p.m. An RCMP collision reconstructionist attended the scene and the investigation is ongoing. Highway 329 to be ‘closed for several hours' due to collision: N.S. RCMP

RCMP shared on social media around 11 a.m. that Highway 329 in the Aspotogan area is closed. 'The roadway will be closed for several hours between Captain's Way and Government Wharf,' police wrote shortly before noon. Police are asking the public to avoid the area and expect delays.
