The briefing was led by State Transport Minister, Dato Sri Lee Kim Shin, chairman of the Sarawak Day 2025 organising committee, who provided an update on the latest developments ahead of the celebration, scheduled to take place on July 22 in Miri. In a statement issued from the Astana, Wan Junaidi and his wife, Toh Puan Datuk Patinggi Fauziah Mohd Sanusi, expressed their appreciation to the committee for their efforts in ensuring a smooth celebration. They also hoped that Sarawak Day would be a platform to unite people of different races and instil patriotism among all Sarawakians. Among those present during the meeting were state deputy ministers Datuk Dr Penguang Manggil, Datuk Rosey Yunus, Datuk Gerawat Gala, Datuk Sebastian Ting Chiew Yew, and Datuk Dr Ripin bin Lamat. Wan Junaidi: Juma'ani was Abg Jo's pillar of strength, beloved by Sarawakians

The Governor paid tribute to Juma'ani in a statement from Astana Negeri. KUCHING (June 23): The late Puan Sri Datuk Amar Juma'ani Tuanku Bujang was the pillar of strength for her husband Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg. Governor Tun Pehin Sri Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar said in a statement that Juma'ani supported Abang Johari's political career spanning over 48 years. 'In facing various challenges and demands of state leadership, she has always been an invaluable source of encouragement and support. 'The English proverb states, 'Behind every great man, there is a great woman' – an expression that accurately describes her role of as the wife, friend, and loyal supporter of the Premier,' the Governor was quoted as saying in a press statement from Astana Negeri. He said Juma'ani was an active figure in the field of welfare, especially through her role as the president of The Association of Wives of Ministers and Deputy Ministers of Sarawak (Sabati). Her contributions to empower charitable organisations and improve the well-being of the community were greatly appreciated and would always be remembered, he said. 'The late Juma'ani is an example of a wife who is steadfast, responsible, and fully understands the trust and responsibility borne by her husband as the head of state leadership. 'She has contributed directly to the harmony of the family and the stability of the state of Sarawak,' he stressed. He added Juma'ani's passing is a great loss not only to his family but also the people of Sarawak. Limbang to host Sarawak-level Agong's Birthday celebration from June 11 to 14

According to a post on the official Facebook page of Yang di-Pertua Negeri Sarawak Tun Pehin Sri Dr Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar, the selection of Limbang division reflects the spirit of unity and appreciation for the people in Sarawak's northern region. The post was made following a courtesy call by the celebrations' committee on Wan Junaidi and wife Toh Puan Datuk Patinggi Fauziah Mohd Sanusi at the Astana Negeri today (June 9). The committee headed by Education, Innovation and Talent Development Minister Dato Sri Roland Sagah Wee Inn briefed Wan Junaidi and wife on the itinerary for the celebrations. Among the events lined up are a Thanksgiving Ceremony on June 13 at the Jannatul Firdaus Mosque, Limbang and Hi-Tea Ceremony on June 14 at the Limbang Civic Centre. Other programmes scheduled are the Thanksgiving Ceremony of Other Religions on June 11, as well as the Raja Kita Exhibition from June 12 to 15. Various side activities will also be organised to enliven the celebration, including stage performances, sales booths, and a traditional food showcase under the banner 'Limbang Kitchen'. In the Facebook post, Wan Junaidi said the courtesy call demonstrated the strong commitment of the state government and relevant agencies to ensure the event runs smoothly and is rich in ceremonial significance, in line with the spirit of patriotism and loyalty to the Royal Institution. On another matter, both Wan Junaidi and wife also received a courtesy call from the organising committee of Sarawak-level Maal Hijrah celerations. The delegation was led by Deputy Minister in the Sarawak Premier's Department (Project Coordinator for Regional Development Agencies, Kuching North City Commission and Islamic Affairs) Datuk Dr Abdul Rahman Junaidi. The Sarawak-level Maal Hijrah celerations will be jeld in Bintulu on June 26 and 27.
