See the Radical 2026 Audi S3 Interior Before You're Supposed To

View post: Walmart is selling a $130 jump starter box for just $39, and shoppers say it's 'outstanding and powerful' The 8Y generation of the Audi A3 and S3 was introduced in 2020, and last year, it was given an update, with the latter performance-minded model getting more power and the RS3's so-called Torque Splitter, which prioritizes the rear end when apportioning output. Several other handling improvements were made, along wth a revised exterior and a cabin with new air vents, an updated shifter design, more ambient lighting, and a few extra places to charge phones from. In a word, the facelift was substantial. Previous Pause Next Unmute 0:00 / 0:10 Full screen 2025 Audi S3: 4 reasons to love it, 2 reasons to think twice Watch More But now that Audi has begun rolling out 2026 variants of numerous vehicles with completely different looks inside and out, the 8Y's interior is beginning to look and feel a little dated in the company of its siblings, and our spies have seen how Ingolstadt intends to remedy that. New Cabin Abandons Traditional Audi Interior Tropes This writer is a lifelong BMW fan, but ever since the 8V generation, even I haven't been able to argue with the sentiment that Audi made the best interiors in the business – elegant, rattle-free, ergonomic, and practically timeless in their balance of tech and tactility. The circular air vents with their stunning knobs to adjust airflow and intensity were a particular highlight. But recently, Audi, like my beloved BMW and others, has jumped head-first into the big-screen game – it's what younger buyers seem to want – and the 8Y is losing texture as a result. Using a long lens, our spies can't get all the angles they'd like, but we do expect a volume knob to live on as it does in the Q6 e-tron, alongside the engine start button and controls for the transmission and hazard warning lights, in that 2025 center console. The rest, however, is completely different. Say goodbye to a textured badge on the reshaped steering wheel and hello to a flat plastic plaque, a one-dimensional representation of the revised Audi logo introduced when the company was leaning into an all-electric future with near-certainty. Bid farewell to what felt like a driver-focused cluster shroud and welcome a singular display merging the central infotainment screen. Forget about feeling your way around the steering wheel as easily as with physical buttons and a scroll wheel; embrace touch-capacitive pads for your thumbs, albeit with recesses to at least minimize the time spent looking down when adjusting controls. A3/S3 May Not Be As Screen-Infested As Others As malicious to driver concentration as big touchscreens have been proven to be time and time again, the risk should be minimized when a passenger is onboard. Spy photos show that this side of the dashboard is also covered up, and comparing how it's covered up to images of the latest A5 and S5 interior, it looks like this test mule doesn't have a screen on the right-hand side of the cabin. It may yet prove to be a costly optional extra, but for now, Audi's entry-level sedan is staying as simple as possible. With the negative tone in which I've described the above updates as they appear to me, it's only fair to note that the interior door panel looks great, with double-stitching, a mix of materials, and a similar perforation to the steering wheel grips. There may be a lot of dull plastic, as in most rivals in the segment, but the design is sharp and what we can see of the cabin is still well structured. We'll see more as this edges closer to a reveal, which, considering the exterior is unchanged, shouldn't be long now. About the Author Sebastian Cenizo View Profile

'Harry Potter' star Emma Watson banned from driving for 6 months after speeding offense
Harry Potter actress Emma Watson has been banned from driving for six months after she was caught speeding in her Audi S3, according to British news outlets. The 35-year-old star, who played Hermione Granger in the film franchise, drove 38 mph in a 30 mph zone in Oxford, England, on July 31 last year, BBC reported. The offense was caught on a speed camera on a restricted road in the city. Watson was charged via mail and pleaded guilty to the offense on March 3. On Wednesday, the actress was sentenced for the violation at a lower court in Wycombe. She did not attend the 5-minute hearing. In addition to the six-month driving ban, the actress was also fined £1,044 (roughly $1,400 U.S.), which she has to pay within 28 days. This is Watson's fourth driving offense in less than two years, according to the Daily Mail. She received three points on her license for this July 2024 speeding offense, in addition to nine points from driving offenses in January 2024 and October and November of 2023. At the time of the speeding incident, Watson was driving her Audi S3, which was towed away by police last year after it was illegally parked while she met with her mom for lunch at a pub across the street, the Mirror reported. The actress has been studying for a doctorate at Oxford University. Watson rose to fame in the eight Harry Potter films that premiered from 2001 until 2011. J.K. Rowling's beloved books are now being turned into an HBO television series, set to debut in 2027. The role of Hermione Granger will be played by 11-year-old Arabella Stanton. Coincidentally, in a separate hearing at the same court on July 16, another Harry Potter star was also handed the same sentence for speeding. Zoë Wanamaker, who played Madam Hooch in Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone, was also banned from driving for six months and fined £1,044 for driving 46 mph in a 40 mph zone in August 2024 in Berkshire, England, according to the Mirror. Like Watson, the 76-year-old also had nine points on her license before the speeding offense. Wanamaker did not attend the sentencing.

Mirror Daily Digest: Our top stories from Starmer suspends MPs to boy, 6, 'kills newborn in hospital'
In this Wednesday's Mirror Daily Digest, we've pulled together the biggest stories of the day from Starmer's suspension of four Labour MPs to the tragic death of a baby in hospital Welcome to the Mirror's Daily Digest, where we pull together all the best stories of the day from our News, Showbiz, Sport teams and more. This Wednesday, we're featuring everything from a newborn being 'killed by a boy left to roam a hospital maternity ward' to the PM's suspension of four MPs and Emma Watson's driving ban. A criminal enquiry has been launched in France after a boy, 6,'left to roam around a maternity unit' allegedly killed a newborn baby. Elsewhere, Harry Potter star Emma Watson was banned from driving after her fourth offence in two years and Keir Starmer suspended four Labour MPs over discipline breaches. Boy, 6, 'kills newborn baby girl while roaming hospital's maternity ward' A baby identified as Zayneb-Cassandra, who was born premature to a 23-year-old woman earlier this month, suffered a traumatic brain injury last Friday after the boy "treated her like a doll" and dropped her on the floor of the Jeanne-de-Flandre Children's Hospital in Lille. The boy had already been reported as a 'disruptive presence' in the hospital when he was found alone with the unconscious baby in a neonatal unit. The baby was her mother's first child, and she was delivered by caesarean section, said the investigating source. Zayneb-Cassandra's grandmother told the Voix du Nord newspaper: 'The boy would arrive at 7am and spend all day running up and down the hallways.' She added: "All the mothers were complaining, and a nurse even warned the child's mother that there was a problem. He was entering the other rooms." Harry Potter's Emma Watson banned from driving after fourth offence in two years Our Showbiz team's eyes were drawn to court again today as Emma Watson was handed a six month driving ban after pleading guilty to speeding. The Harry Potter star did not appear at High Wycombe Magistrates' Court for sentencing. The 35-year-old actress earlier this year admitted to driving at 38mph in a 30mph zone. She was driving her Audi S3, which was towed away last year after being illegally parked, when her car was caught by a camera on Banbury Road, Oxford. Emma was later charged by post and pleaded guilty to the driving offence on March 3. Today she was sentenced over the driving offence. Keir Starmer suspends four Labour MPs over discipline breaches This afternoon, our Politics team broke the news that Keir Starmer has suspended four Labour MPs over persistent breaches of party discipline and stripped three others of trade envoy roles after a series of rebellions. Brian Leishman, Chris Hinchliff and Neil Duncan-Jordan - all elected just last year - and Rachael Maskell will now sit as Independents in the House of Commons. It is understood the four MPs met with the Chief Whip today, where they were told they would be suspended for repeated breaches of party discipline, pending a future review. They were among dozens of Labour backbenchers to vote against the government earlier this month on disability benefit cuts. Mr Duncan-Jordan, the MP for Poole, was among 42 Labour MPs to sign a letter earlier this year warning the PM cuts to disability benefits were "impossible to support". He told The Mirror: "To my constituents: it's business as usual. I remain your hardworking local MP, I will continue to take up your concerns and speak up for Poole." Prince Harry 'won't let Meghan go to England' as he 'bans' her from latest trip After Prince Harry landed in Angola on Tuesday, our Royal team reported that the Duke of Sussex has "banned" his wife, Meghan Markle, from joining him on his recent trip to the African state of Angola due to safety concerns. Insiders likened the move to him not letting her visit the UK. Meghan Markle has not returned to Britain since the funeral of Queen Elizabeth II in September 2022, where she was pictured on a walkabout with Prince William, Prince Harry and Princess Kate outside Windsor Castle. The once dubbed "Fab Four" haven't been pictured together since then. Now, an insider claims Harry refuses to let Meghan return to the UK along with join him on his latest trip. "The duke won't let his wife go to England over security concerns, so there was no chance he'd allow her to go to Angola to walk across landmines," a source told the Daily Mail. Bizarre story of Sycamore Gap duo and moment that 'tipped them over the edge' Following their sentencing yesterday, the two men who cut down the famous tree at Sycamore Gap out of "sheer bravado" have now been put behind bars. This Wednesday, our news team have been looking further into the bizarre story of the duo. The two were once pals with locals saying the plot saw "the man with no friends" - Daniel Graham, 39 - team up with "the man with no brains", Adam Carruthers, 32. Their three-minute "moronic" destruction of the much-loved tree, which had stood for more than 100 years in a fold in the Northumberland landscape, will never be forgotten. Graham turned on Carruthers, tipping police off that he had cut down the iconic landmark in September 2023. The pair, who were each jailed for four years and three months, were convicted of criminal damage to the tree along with criminal damage to Hadrian's Wall, caused when the sycamore fell on the ancient monument.
