Ozzy Osbourne thought Taylor Swift was a 'true superstar' with 'genuine talent' in resurfaced interview

thoughts about Taylor Swift have reemerged days after his death at the age of 76. During an episode of The Talk in October 2014, Ozzy's wife Sharon Osbourne revealed what the singer had said about the 35-year-old pop star after a run-in with her. Sharon shared that her husband held the singer in high regard, comparing her to revered icons Grace Kelly and Audrey Hepburn. Sharon said: 'Remember the time that we were all out shopping separately and we bumped into you, and I had Ozzy with me and [our daughter] Kelly was there and we all had chats in the store?' She then recalled the late rocker saying Taylor: 'Ozzy came away and he said, "Finally, out of all these young, new artists I finally found one that is a true superstar". 'He said he'd never met anyone that had the aura that you have because your aura is one of elegance and just pure, just genuine talent.' The compliments didn't stop there, as Ozzy also said Taylor was like 'Grace Kelly, Audrey Hepburn all rolled into one'. Redirecting the conversation, Sharon then asked Taylor: 'Now what do you remember about my Ozzy?' The singer said: 'First of all, that was the sweetest thing in the world. I remember he didn't talk much.' Then Sharon joked: 'He was too busy staring at you.' Taylor added: 'He didn't talk much and me, and Kelly, and you were just kind of like, chattering away. Later, when Kelly told me that he had said those nice things I was so blown away. I was just so flattered. It was the sweetest thing in the world. 'It was so nice to see you guys out as a family, all shopping together. Those are the things that typically as kids grow up and everybody becomes adults, you don't see family days as much. But it was a Sunday and you guys were just wandering around together. It was nice.' Ozzy took the stage for his farewell concert at Villa Park Stadium in his native Birmingham, England less than three weeks before his death. The rocker reunited with his original Black Sabbath bandmates Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler and Bill Ward for the first time since 2005 to bid an emotional farewell to his decades of performing live on stage. Over 42,000 fans packed into the venue for the Back to the Beginning show, which saw Ozzy and Black Sabbath return to their hometown 56 years after they formed there. In a statement shared on Tuesday, July 22, Ozzy's family said he died 'surrounded by love'. He is survived by his wife Sharon and his five children: Jessica, Louis, Aimee, Kelly and Jack.

7 color combinations that can instantly make you look rich, elegant and classy

Elevate your style effortlessly by choosing the right color combinations. The article highlights seven pairings, such as navy blue and camel, black and white, and emerald green and ivory, that exude sophistication and luxury. These combinations, favored by style icons and high-end brands, can transform your wardrobe with minimal effort, ensuring a timeless and chic look for any occasion. Ever noticed how some people seem to command attention the moment they step into a room? It's not always about the labels or the price tags it's often about the colors they choose to wear. Color is one of the most crucial components while we buy a dress, or when a dress is designed. Why? Because the right combination of hues can instantly elevate your style and can amplify your style, giving off an aura of refinement, polish and rich classy looks. Whether you're going for work, attending an event or it's just an everyday casual look, the color combination you choose for styling matters just as much as the brand and price of the dress you choose to buy. Here are seven color combinations that make you look chic, timeless, and irresistibly luxe; while helping you elevate your wardrobe with minimal effort. 1. Navy Blue and Camel (or Gold) When it comes to a classic rich look, you must consider pairing navy blue with gold accents or camel color. Because gold and camel color defines the state of luxury. Navy is a versatile color exuding depth and maturity, while camel color shows understated luxury. This style hue is favored by style icons like Meghan Markel. If you pair your dress with a camel-colored outfit and navy coat, it stands out well, because both the hues are well documented in the fashion world. 2. Black and White The classic unbeatable combination of black and white, which makes you look really an elegant chessboard piece. While that's not only the truth, nothing beats the iconic crisp impact of black- and-white ensembles. Hollywood icons like Audrey Hepburn in Breakfast at Tiffany's and countless celebrities on red carpets, chose the styling of monochrome look. Consider pairing a tweed jacket with classic black trousers, or a black dress with white pearl jewel look makes you look more classic and elegant. Black and white is so common and versatile that it even suits best in formal events, casual outings when paired with right accessories. If you haven't tried the color combination once, you must try it out. 3. Wine (Burgundy) and Blush Deep, rich hues paired with soft pastels can take your outfit from ordinary to elevated. Wine (or burgundy) hues signal opulence, while blush adds a touch of femininity and warmth. Imagine a burgundy blazer with a blush satin camisole or a blush skirt with wine-toned accessories. This combination works beautifully for evenings or transitional seasons and easily shifts from desk to dinner. Now, if you're planning to go on a date, don't forget to style yourself with this shade, you might become the spotlight. 4. Emerald Green and Ivory A gemstone shade, and yes it doesn't only sound classy it actually is. Emerald is associated with royalty whereas Ivory which is softer than bright white, brings a creamy richness that feels expensive and old-world. Think an ivory cashmere sweater with emerald trousers, or an emerald dress beneath an ivory coat. Emerald jewelry paired with ivory separates can also elevate any look. Even choosing emerald with black gives you a bold, expensive look. Try adding an emerald green handbag or a pair of green earrings to an all-black ensemble these little accents bring drama and a sense of luxury to your look. So, next time if you're going for a party try adding a pop to your look with emerald. 5. Charcoal Gray and Dusty Pink Gray often gets a bad rap for being dull, however when used as a base for dusty pink, it becomes stylishly chic. Charcoal is sophisticated and slimming, while a muted pink provides a subtle pop without overwhelming the senses. Try pairing a gray suit with a dusty pink blouse, or a charcoal knit with a soft pink scarf. This palette is especially flattering for workwear and brings a touch of elegance to everyday basics. However, when you style it do focus on the quality of fabrics as well, because lush pink satin material looks better than a plain cotton pink outfit. 6. White and Beige Head-to-toe neutrals are having a major moment, and for good reason. White paired with creamy beige, tan, or off-white radiates quiet confidence and luxury. This combination showcases a minimalist sensibility. Just think of Victoria Beckham or street-style muses in Europe, how subtle and classy looks it disseminates, while maintaining the off white and white combinations. To nail the look, layer different shades and textures. Try matching a wool beige coat over a crisp white shirt with tan slacks or a silky white blouse and beige trousers. Add delicate gold or pearl accents to complete the vibe and your beauty look. 7. Cream and Olive Cream and olive green create a quietly confident and fresh palette that's ideal for both day and evening. The softness of cream lightens the earthy depth of olive, giving your outfit an effortless feel. Picture cream trousers with an olive silk shirt, or layer an olive trench over an all-cream look for a twist on classic neutrals. This combination is a fixture in collections from high-end labels, and it works for all ages and complexions. The Row consistently features neutral tones and subdued greens, and Celine is known for minimalistic looks that often utilize earthy colors, including cream and olive, in their runway and ready-to-wear collections. Next time, if you choose to look minimalistic and elegant, try the palette. So, whenever you decide to style, make sure to choose a classy color palette while keeping in mind the investments you make, the accessories you wear and the fabric you choose. Fashion comes with understanding, and it's not about just following the trend, rather it is about choosing the right color for the right event. Experiment with these pairings and see how easily they can be mixed and matched within your own wardrobe. Next time you wear it not for the sake of wearing, wear it with confidence and embrace the beauty with boldness. (Image: Pinterest)

In the hilarious, affectionate tease of a poem Meryl Streep wrote for an award she gave the designer, she lovingly chides Mr. Garavani for claiming he won't dress girls from 'streep malls.' 'But my feelings weren't hurt in the least,' she says. And in an essay recalling an advertising campaign he shot for the designer in 1985, the eternal waspish wit Rupert Everett, writes, 'Valentino's eyes were pale and profound, and surveyed us from inside his physical form like a lady in purdah regards the world through a crack in the palace wall.' (The actor recalls he behaved like a diva on set, and was subsequently barred from a glam, A-List gathering in Gstaad, but was eventually warmly welcomed back into the Valentino fold.) And then there are the oral histories from friends—other designers, aristocrats of both European and Hollywood lineage, models, muses, and cultural types—like these bon mots from author Amy Fine Collins, who wryly observes: 'It is nearly as hard to envision fashion without the house of Valentino as it is difficult to picture the Vatican without the Pope.' The book is in part structured via decades of the designer's life and work, so there is plenty of amazing fashion in here: The all-white collection of 1968, which every designer at the house of Valentino since the founder's departure has riffed on; red dress after red dress, one more spectacular than the other; and decades worth of haute couture, rephotographed in forensic detail, the better to see the craftsmanship. (As Hamish Bowles points out, what set Valentino's couture apart was that as much work went into the clothes actually worn by the house's clients as were on its runways.) What makes the book sing is the running of contemporary interviews and reviews which contextualize the fashion: the verbatim transcript of a lunch conversation with Valentino at Warhol's Factory in the 1970s: 'Why do you talk to him? He's not the star,' Valentino says at one point when attention turns away from him. Or from that same decade, a price-by-price breakdown comparing the cost of Valentino couture and the ready-to-wear, courtesy of The Miami Herald.

Why the bun hairstyle is such a versatile classic: adopt the sleek chignon of Audrey Hepburn, Kendall Jenner and Bella Hadid, or the signature messy twist of Meghan Markle to elevate your look

If hairstyles had passports, the bun would surely boast the most stamps. It's been everywhere: gracing royal courts and spinning through dance studios, quickly whipped up atop heads on coffee runs and catching the light on fashion runways. This deceptively simple hairstyle has reigned for centuries, repeatedly declared 'the look of the season' as though it had ever truly faded from style. The bun is fashion's quiet overachiever: endlessly adaptable, reliably chic and just as fitting at a couture show as it is during a 7am Zoom call with one eye still closed. Bella Hadid's intricate coils, worn while attending the Cannes Film Festival in France in 2024, were reminiscent of the Ancient Greek style of bun. The bun has been around for millennia. In Ancient Greece, women wore theirs in intricate coils pinned with gold, signalling elegance and status. In parts of East Asia, buns adorned with a jade comb or silk ribbon told entire stories: of marital status, social rank, and even cultural and social significance. Advertisement Fast-forward to Old Hollywood, and the bun got its big-screen close-up. ' Audrey Hepburn's sleek chignon in Breakfast at Tiffany's [1961] became the ultimate symbol of elegance. And from there, things only got bolder,' says Ohio-based hair stylist Kaitlyn Jones. Cue Princess Leia: her double side buns in Star Wars (1977) became one of the most iconic hairstyles in film history, and launched a space-age obsession that's still orbiting today. Carrie Fisher on the set of Star Wars in 1977. Princess Leia's double side buns became one of the most iconic hairstyles in film history, launching a space-age obsession that's still orbiting today. By the 90s, the bun had gone soft. Think messy twists, face-framing tendrils, and a scrunchie or two. It was casual, flirty and paired with spaghetti straps and brown lip liner. Then came the era of the 'supermodel bun': low, slick and glossed to perfection. Bella Hadid, Kendall Jenner, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and Hailey Bieber made it their off-duty signature – chic, sculpted and never not ready for a flashbulb. Rosie Huntington-Whiteley looks effortlessly elegant on the red carpet, with a slicked back bun the crowning glory to her look. Fashion designers also remain faithful bun enthusiasts. At Christian Siriano autumn/winter 2025, buns took an elegant, sculptural turn, echoing the drama of the collection. Over at Altuzarra, Oribe's principal artist of global content, Mandee Tauber, gave buns a pretzel-like twist: sleek but with a playful edge. That spirit of reinvention carried through to the Max Mara spring 2025 show in Milan , where models wore sleek double buns secured low and symmetrical at the nape of the neck, adding a touch of whimsy to the brand's signature polish. Chic double buns worn by a model at the Max Mara fashion show during the Milan womenswear spring/summer 2025 show in Milan, Italy. The bun's versatility isn't a coincidence: it's practically physics. It works with virtually every hair type, length and texture. High buns elongate faces, low buns soften sharp angles, and side buns add whimsical asymmetry. 'Buns remain a timeless go-to because they're incredibly versatile – whether worn high or low, messy or sleek, they work for nearly every hair type and occasion,' says Andrew Fitzsimons, celebrity hairstylist and founder of Andrew Fitzsimons Hair. 'They strike the perfect balance between effortlessness and polish, which is why people embrace them year after year.'
