Woman allegedly steals $50K watch after meeting man at bar

A young woman has been accused of stealing a man's watch worth a staggering $50,000 after meeting at a bar. Audrey Schump, 24, was allegedly at a bar on Broadway, which is downtown Nashville's most popular strip of night life, when she met a man on June 12. The man — and his friends — allegedly invited Ms Schump and another woman to their short term rental, according to WKRN. The alleged victim then placed his Rolex Daytona — which has a retail value of $30,000 (AU $46,000) under a hat on the bedside table. He then went to the bathroom. Audrey Schump, 24, was allegedly at a bar in Nashville on Broadway, often referred to as 'Honky Tonk Highway', when she met a man on June 12. 'The victim states that he came back to the bedroom from the bathroom and observed the defendant reaching over the bed towards where his watch was located,' the affidavit stated, according to WSMV. 'The victim states that the defendant then abruptly left the room.' Ms Schump then allegedly left the Airbnb, and that is when the man called the police. He gave officers a description of the woman's clothing. Ms Schump was allegedly found not too far from the Airbnb and was arrested. She was taken to Davidson County Jail, according to WVLT. She's since been released from jail on a $25,000 bond, according to Daily Mail. Man has $30,000 Rolex stolen by girl he brought back home from bar
A Nashville man's date night took a turn after a woman he brought home from a bar allegedly stole his $30,000 Rolex. Audrey Schump, 24, was arrested and booked into the Davidson County Jail when police recovered a Rolex that was reported stolen by a man who invited her back to his place after a night out at the bars. Police received the report of a stolen watch on Thursday, June 12, by an unnamed victim. The man told cops he and his friends had been partying in Nashville Thursday night when they started talking to two women before inviting them back to their Airbnb. The two women agreed to go home with them and joined them at their place. At some point, the man said he took off his Rolex Daytona and stashed it under a hat on his nightstand, according to an arrest affidavit obtained by WVLT. He then headed to the bathroom, but when he returned he says he caught Schump reaching across the bed to the spot where the luxury watch had been placed. 'The victim states that he came back to the bedroom from the bathroom and observed the defendant reaching over the bed towards where his watch was located,' the affidavit states. Schump then allegedly bolted from the bedroom and fled the rental home with her friend. 'The victim states that the defendant then abruptly left the room.' The victim quickly called 911 to report the theft. The unnamed victim gave police a description of the suspect's appearance. Officers were quickly able to track the pair down just 'a block and a half away' from the rental unit. Schump was arrested and taken to Davidson County Jail. Officers found the alleged stolen Rolex was still on her at the police station. Schump was charged with felony theft of more than $10,000. She was released on a $25,000 bond. Crime, including theft, has increased by about 11.4 percent in Nashville as compared to this time last year.

Man robbed of $30K Rolex after meeting woman on Broadway, police say
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — A woman was taken into custody Thursday after she allegedly stole a $30,000 watch after being invited to a short-term rental in Nashville. According to arrest documents, officers were sent to a short-term rental in the 900 block of Southside Place on Thursday, June 12 to respond to a theft call. | READ MORE | The victim allegedly told police that he and friends met two women at a bar on Broadway and invited them to come back to where they were staying. Once they were at the short-term rental, the victim said he placed his Rolex Daytona, which has a value of $30,000, underneath his hat and went to bathroom. Police said the victim reported that when he came out of the bathroom, he observed a woman—identified as 24-year-old Audrey Schump—reach toward where his watch was located and leave the room. Schump reportedly fled from the short-term rental and the victim was able to give officers a description of her clothing. According to court documents, police later found Schump about 'a block and a half away' from the short-term rental. She was taken into custody and booked in Metro Jail. At some point during the booking process, authorities found the watch with Schump. Booking records show she was charged with felony theft over $10,000 and has since been released from jail.
