The Ministry of Finance has announced a 3 sen per litre reduction in the retail prices of RON97 petrol and diesel in Peninsular Malaysia for the period from July 3 to July 9, 2025, in line with global oil price movements. Under the weekly pricing mechanism based on the Automatic Pricing Mechanism (APM) formula, the fuel prices are set as follows: RON97 petrol : Reduced by 3 sen to RM3.18 per litre : Reduced by 3 sen to RON95 petrol : Remains unchanged at RM2.05 per litre : Remains Diesel (Peninsular Malaysia) : Reduced by 3 sen to RM2.85 per litre : Reduced by 3 sen to Diesel (Sabah, Sarawak, Labuan): Remains unchanged at RM2.15 per litre The government said it will continue to monitor global oil price trends and adjust retail prices accordingly while ensuring stability and protecting public welfare. KUALA LUMPUR: The retail prices of RON97 petrol and diesel in Peninsular Malaysia have been lowered by three sen, effective from July 3 to 9. RON97 is now priced at RM3.18 per litre, while diesel costs RM2.85 per litre. The Ministry of Finance confirmed in a statement that the price of RON95 petrol remains steady at RM2.05 per litre. Meanwhile, diesel prices in Sabah, Sarawak, and Labuan stay unchanged at RM2.15 per litre. The adjustments follow the weekly retail pricing mechanism for petroleum products, calculated using the Automatic Pricing Mechanism formula. The ministry stated, 'The government continues to monitor market trends and adjust the retail prices of RON97 and diesel in line with global oil price movements, while supporting price stability.' Additionally, the government assured that it will implement necessary measures to protect public welfare amid fluctuating fuel prices.

KUALA LUMPUR: The retail price of RON95 petrol remains unchanged at RM2.05 per litre, while that of RON97 increases by seven sen, from RM3.14 to RM3.21 per litre, for the period from June 26 to July 2. In a statement today, the Ministry of Finance (MOF) said the retail price of diesel in Sabah, Sarawak and Labuan remains at RM2.15 per litre, while in Peninsular Malaysia, it increases by seven sen to RM2.88 per litre for the same period. "In line with the rise in global oil market prices, the government has set the retail price of RON97 petrol at RM3.21 per litre, while the retail price of diesel in Peninsular Malaysia is RM2.88 per litre. "The retail price of diesel in Peninsular Malaysia remains lower than the floated price of RM3.35 per litre on June 10, 2024," the statement read. MOF said the prices were set based on the weekly retail pricing of petroleum products using the Automatic Pricing Mechanism (APM) formula. The statement also noted that the government will continue to monitor market developments and adjust the retail prices of RON97 and diesel in line with global oil price movements while supporting price stability. "The government will continue to monitor the impact of global crude oil price fluctuations and take appropriate measures to ensure the welfare and well-being of the people are safeguarded," it added.

KUALA LUMPUR: The retail prices of RON97 petrol and diesel in Peninsular Malaysia will be increased by 7sen per litre from June 26 to July 2. The Finance Ministry, in a statement Wednesday (June 25) said the retail price of RON97 would increase to RM3.21 per litre nationwide while the retail price of diesel would go up to RM2.88 per litre in the peninsula. The price of diesel would, however, remain at RM2.15 per litre in Sabah, Sarawak, and Labuan over the same period. RON95 petrol would also remain at RM2.05 per litre nationwide. It said the prices were set based on the weekly retail pricing of petroleum products using the Automatic Pricing Mechanism formula. "The government will continue to monitor the trends of global crude oil prices and take appropriate measures to ensure the continued welfare and well-being of the people," it added.
