LiAngelo Ball Files For Divorce From Pregnant Rashida Nicole After 3 Months, Estranged Wife Alleges Miss Nikki Baby's Been Harassing Her
'Tweaker' rapper LiAngelo Ball has filed for divorce from Rashida Nicole after a mere three months of marriage—and just days after she announced her pregnancy. Amid that drama, Rashida's speaking out to allege that her Ball's 'obsessed' ex, Miss Nikki Baby (Nikki Mudarris) has been harassing her. Source: As BOSSIP previously reported, before Rashida, Gelo was famously linked to reality star Miss Nikki Baby, with whom he shares two children. Their relationship spanned 3 and a half years together, but their split in February 2025 was far from amicable. Miss Nikki Baby took to social media, alleging that LiAngelo had abruptly 'decided to walk out on his kids and I and tell me he got someone else pregnant and now is creating a new life with her.' She expressed being 'beyond blind-sided by this whole thing,' calling it 'The ultimate betrayal.' Nikki also previously accused him of being a 'deadbeat,' claims which LiAngelo has refuted on multiple occasions. LiAngelo Ball and Rashida Nicole's relationship went public shortly after his split from Miss Nikki Baby in February 2025. According to HotNewHipHop, the former baller purchased a custom-made G-Wagon for his new girlfriend. Then, in May 2025, Rashida subliminally hinted that she and Gelo had secretly married through a subtle Instagram comment, leading to speculation that they had tied the knot. Just weeks later, TMZ reported that Rashida Nicole was pregnant, making this her second child and Ball's third child, following his two children with Miss Nikki Baby. 'Wish I had all the right words to describe this journey, but I guess if I had to define it, all I can truly say is: I'm grateful, terrified, anxious, nauseous, HANGRY…all of thee above,' Rashida wrote in an Instagram post. 'As a teen mom, I was always hesitant about going thru pregnancy and parenthood again. (Iykyk) I want to thank my daughter for being here for me during this process, always demonstrating unconditional LOVE & reassuring me that, 'Everything is alright!' And for now…I choose to protect my peace and this beautiful energy.' Despite Rashida alleging that she's 'protecting her peace,' she seemingly let that mantra go for a bit as she took social media Sunday, July 13, to address Miss Nikki Baby directly after she made explosive claims during an appearance on The Jason Lee Show. Miss Nikki Baby Alleged That Liangelo Ball Broke Up With Her Via Text, Told Her He Got Someone Else Pregnant In the interview, which aired Sunday, July 13, on the Zeus Network, Miss Nikki Baby alleged that Ball ended their relationship via text after getting another woman pregnant, presumably Rashida Nicole. According to Nikki, Ball started acting differently when their child was only four weeks old, before revealing the shocking news. 'He had a meeting in New York,' said Nikki. 'He didn't text me for like three days, he didn't answer, he always answers. He ended up texting me like, 'We need to talk when I come, it's really bad.'' After some back and forth, Nikki said she convinced him to stop delaying the news and come clean, jokingly asking if he had impregnated someone else. ''Yeah, we need to coparent, I got someone pregnant,'' she alleges the rapper told her. On Sunday, though Rashida didn't mention Nikki Baby by name, she appeared to address the claims in a fiery Instagram Story post, saying she's 'sooo tired of this bish keep talking about me,' and accused Gelo's ex of harassing her behind the scenes. 'This lady has harassed me the entire time…trying to have ppl call me to abort my baby, wishing death on my unborn child and so much more,' she wrote. Rashida, who confirmed her pregnancy on June 26, added that the drama has only fueled her. 'Thank you for all the free promo…while I'm baking this beautiful baby,' she said. 'Sit back, relax and enjoy the show bc I know I am…I'm just loading up!' LiAngelo Ball's divorce from Rashida Nicole was filed just a few days after her pregnancy announcement, and only three months into their alleged marriage. This swift move, given the new baby on the way, sparked widespread reactions across social media. Despite the internet chatter, Gelo appears to be largely unbothered by the public's opinion. He recently weighed in on the reactions during a chat with Billboard : 'When people conversate about my personal life, it don't touch me or bother me too much,' he told the outlet. 'Like I see it, of course, because you know, everybody got a phone, but it don't rub me the wrong way or nothing because nobody really go [through] what I go through every day. You not me, for real. So it don't mean sh*t, for real .' Ball went on to claim that the only reactions that truly matter to him are those of his friends and family, 'I don't even know half the people saying anything,' he asserted. 'And everybody I know rock with me. Sh*t, there it is. I be feeling good when I step out. Got love.' Ball has yet to publicly comment on the situation or confirm the reported divorce. Meanwhile, despite the personal drama, Gelo's music career appears to be flourishing. He has a new album titled League of My Own set to drop on July 18 via Def Jam Recordings, featuring collaborations with artists like Lil Wayne and GloRilla. Black Brilliance: ‘Beyond The Gates' Cast Celebrates Renewal & Refreshing Representation At Essence Fest [Exclusive]
Under the bright lights and bold beats of this year's 2025 Essence Fest, CBS's newest soap shone bright. Beyond The Gates , the sumptuous saga of secrets, status, and the sprawling Dupree dynasty, has already been renewed for a second season, a swift and significant win for a show that only debuted in February. Source: Robin L Marshall / Getty The first daytime soap with a predominantly Black cast in more than 35 years, Beyond the Gates weaves its stories around an elite Maryland family whose power and passion extend far beyond their gated community. Created by acclaimed writer Michele Val Jean and executive produced by Sheila Ducksworth, the show has helped revitalize CBS's daytime block, with viewership gains and industry buzz to match. At Essence Fest, where Beyond the Gates felt perfectly at home amid a weekend celebrating culture, community, and creativity, BOSSIP caught up with cast members Tamara Tunie and Karla Mosley, along with executive producer Sheila Ducksworth. Source: Paras Griffin / Getty Images 'It feels terrific,' Ducksworth told BOSSIP when asked about the show's season two renewal. 'It's another season to bring you all the happenings of everything Beyond The Gates and with the Dupree family. It's just something that we just love more than I can even say to have the opportunity five days a week to tell these stories with these characters and really show us a side of America that people haven't seen before.' Five days a week of fierce family drama is no small feat, and one of its most talked-about characters is the fiery and fearless Dani Dupree, portrayed by Karla Mosley. Dani is the firecracker of the Dupree family who never backs down from a fight (or a suckerpunch) , especially if it involves herself or her relatives. Source: Robin L Marshall / Getty 'Yes,' Mosley said when asked if Dani is a fighter. 'And I think that's the thing. Everything she does comes from love. She just can't help it, she says, and she acts first, and then she doesn't really think that much about the repercussions, she just keeps going, but it all comes from a place of love and truth, and just wanting justice.' That blend of raw emotion and righteous energy is matched by Tamara Tunie's portrayal of Anita Dupree, the commanding yet compassionate mother at the heart of the show. Known for playing strong women across stage and screen, Tunie effortlessly pumps power and poise into her role as the Dupree matriarch. Source: Paras Griffin / Getty Images 'Who does she worry about the most? Anita worries about all her children,' Tunie told BOSSIP . 'The two sisters (Dani and Nicole) are very different. Nicole is much more calm and steady, and Dani's a little more impulsive, you know, but she loves them both. And she loves them in different ways, because she meets them where they're in need, and she fills that.' The family dynamics are rich and real, but at the center of it all is a constant current, Black excellence. BOSSIP asked each cast member to define it in their own words, and the answers painted a vivid portrait of purpose and pride. Source: Paras Griffin / Getty Images 'I mean, it's something that it was always expected and always was in my life. So for me, it's the norm, you know?' said Tunie. 'But it's great to be able to represent it on television, and I'm not saying Black excellence is only about wealth or money or material things. It's about what's happening in here,' she added, placing her hand over her heart. 'And how you are moving through the world. Whether you are the garbage man, the postman, or a doctor, it's how you are moving through the world and what you represent and what you're bringing and putting into the world. That's what Black excellence is, to me.' Mosley agreed, reflecting on her personal experiences while filming in the peach state's celebrated capital city, ATL. 'I think that's so beautifully put,' she said. 'And you know, it's exciting for me to be on the soap, but also to live in Atlanta, to be here in New Orleans, to be in the South around so many more Black people, and where it's the norms and just show up as you as fully as you are, and where children are encouraged to speak their minds, and that what they have to say is important and valued, and our innovation is celebrated. I think that's really what it is all about.' Source: Paras Griffin / Getty Images Then Ducksworth brought it all home with clarity and conviction. 'It's about being the best that you can be, whatever stage of your life that you're in with being the best that it can be,' she told BOSSIP . 'When I first went to put the show together, it was really about something that inspires, and something the people can aspire to. And that's exactly what this show delivers on. It's all about just being the best that you can possibly be.' As Beyond the Gates heads into its second season, its success isn't just a win for CBS, it's a triumph for storytelling that centers and celebrates the richness of Black identity. With each episode, the show redefines what daytime drama can look like, and at Essence Fest, the cast reminded us why representation means absolutely everything from inside the gates and beyond. ‘Operation Aunties' Tisha Campbell, Melissa De Sousa, Amiyah Scott & Wendy Raquel Robinson Detail The VigalAUNTIE Justice Of New Film [Exclusive]
There's a difference between watching chemistry on-screen and feeling it behind the scenes, and with Operation: Aunties , it's clear this cast didn't just play ride-or-dies, they lived it. Directed by Emmy-winning actress Wendy Raquel Robinson and starring Melissa De Sousa (The Best Man), Tisha Campbell (Martin, Act Your Age), and Amiyah Scott (Star), the upcoming ALLBLK original follows three women who take on a digital-age trafficking ring with brains, bravery, and Black girl grit. Source: Operation Aunties / ALLBLK The film follows a professor-turned-cyber-vigilante who teams up with her detective bestie and tech-savvy niece to take down a trafficking ring hiding on the dark web. It's action, intellect, and auntie instinct rolled into one high-stakes mission. Before the film premieres on July 11, I had the chance to chat with the stars, and their bond was loud and clear from the start. Operation: Aunties follows Dr. Carol Cleavers (Melissa De Sousa), a professor and blockchain expert whose family is shaken by an attempted trafficking incident. When law enforcement drags its feet, Carol takes matters into her own hands—teaming up with her ride-or-die best friend, retired detective Sharon O'Hara (Tisha Campbell), and her tech-genius niece Aminah (Amiyah Scott). Together, they become cyber-age vigilantes, navigating the dark web, coded networks, and high-stakes danger in pursuit of justice. Some sets are all business—but this one ran on sisterhood, support, and laughter. 'We had so much fun,' Melissa De Sousa told BOSSIP's Lauryn Bass. 'We had too much fun. Wendy is our fun leader… I've worked with Wendy 20 years ago, and so we came back together. It was like a reunion.' Source: Operation Aunties / ALLBLK She continued to explain the amazing bond and camaraderie shared on set, which you can see is true in the post-movie credits. 'Tisha, I had never worked with, but I've met Tisha—we've been in this business together for the years. So I was just so excited to finally work with her. And then we met Amiyah. I saw her on Star. I loved her on Star, and she's just so beautiful and sweet… Playing her aunt was so easy, because I just immediately felt like family with her. We just connected on a beautiful level, and that's very rare in this business.' While the camaraderie was natural, the script's tech language required some real homework. Source: Operation Aunties / ALLBLK 'I definitely had to read up,' Melissa admitted. 'I looked at definitions, because I don't know anything about cryptocurrency or the dark web… even after reading the definitions, it was so hard to stick in my brain. I'm just so far removed from, like, current world… even memorizing the lines was kind of hard for me. It really was because it was so technical.' Wendy Raquel Robinson, who directed the film and helped shape the script, shared how far the team had to go to make the material click: 'That script was so out there. I said, 'Listen, nobody's going to identify with this. I don't care who it is—Steve Jobs would come up out the grave and say help me.' But we had to really make it—not only in layman's terms. We still kept it elevated, but we wanted to connect with the audience as much as possible.' Tisha added that her role in the movie felt close to home. 'My whole family is blue collar… police officers, captains, lieutenants. Some are military. So I'm around it all the time—but this was still different.' Movies are popping up quickly these days! This shoot was quick—ten days flat—but the demands were heavy, especially when it came to nailing the dialogue. Source: Operation Aunties / ALLBLK 'Like, I wanted to cry some days because of the technical stuff I had to say,' Melissa shared. 'Because I was scared… we have to get it done. And I was so stressed because I could not remember it. I've never said these words… so foreign to me.' However, according to Amiyah Scott, the environment helped balance the intensity: 'I think that the comfortability on the set made things a lot easier. I felt like we were all focused on the same goal. I feel like we had a great vibe. So though it was short and though it was intense at times, I think that we really coasted through it, because we were all tunnel-visioned on the same goal, everybody.' Wendy added that, at times, the laughter took over. 'When you got these two funny ladies clowning, I was like, 'Y'all, please come on. We gotta bring it back.' There were moments… even myself, they would wrangle me in. Thank God I had a great AD who just kept us online.' When it came time to reflect on the story's larger impact, each woman made it clear: this isn't just another action comedy. It's representation done right. Source: Operation Aunties / ALLBLK 'It's just so nice to see African American women not be labeled,' Tisha said. 'To be their authentic selves—intellectual, smart, funny, comedic, dramatic… you have it all in one. And there's action as well. I just want people to see us.' Wendy added how timely this movie is. 'There is so much going on in this world… to be aware, to be present, to watch your back, to be vigilant, to be a vigilante. This story is grounded in truth.' Melissa emphasized how true this story is and how it's needed. 'Stories like this have happened and continue to happen. Bringing the tech world with people of color—I think is important, because we're not seen in that space. I'm happy about that and proud of that.' After watching a special screener of Operation: Aunties, I can say firsthand that the film is current, creative, and full of contrast. The integration of real-time chats and onscreen messages made it feel refreshingly new. One minute I was laughing, the next, I had to hit pause and sit in shock… because what? The pacing kept me on the edge of my seat. The production looked clean, the women looked so good, and their performances delivered—because they're all seasoned actresses who know how to hold attention. Seeing them together on screen was not only entertaining, it was powerful. But what hit hardest? The portrayal of Black women in STEM. These characters weren't watered down. They were successful, intellectual, and well-spoken without ever sounding Eurocentric. They owned tech, their careers, and their voices. That kind of representation isn't just refreshing—it's necessary. Beyond the performance and plot, Operation: Aunties reminds us that we can't afford to ignore where technology is taking us. It's time to have real conversations—not just about the dangers of the dark web, but about cryptocurrency, AI, digital privacy, and how they intersect with our daily lives. This is the new era. It does exist–and people need to be aware. Operation: Aunties premieres Friday, July 11, exclusively on ALLBLK. This one's for the group chats, the aunties, the techies—and anyone tired of seeing Black women boxed in. Blac Chyna's Break Up With Derrick Milano Confirmed Less Than A Year After Engagement
Angela White, known to many as Blac Chyna, and Derrick Milano have ended their engagement. Blac Chyna's breakup journey comes less than a year after he proposed in front of fans. Source: Paul Archuleta / Getty White's romantic history has often been under scrutiny. As BOSSIP has previously reported, her past relationships have been highly publicized. She shares son King Cairo, 12, with rapper Tyga, and daughter Dream, 8, with Rob Kardashian from a high-profile, often tumultuous engagement. In recent years, the TV personality embarked on a highly publicized spiritual journey, changed her name from 'Blac Chyna' to Angela White, reversed cosmetic surgeries, and publicly embraced sobriety and Christianity. This shift led many to observe a focus on peace and a different direction for her personal life. Derrick Milano, a Grammy-winning songwriter known for co-writing hits such as Megan Thee Stallion and Beyoncé's 'Savage Remix,' became publicly involved with White in May 2023. By October 2024, Milano proposed to White in front of a crowd at Howard University's homecoming event, Yardfest. Beaming with pride, White accepted the proposal, which came as no surprise, being the mother of two, was beginning to question whether a ring was coming a couple of months prior. Blac Chyna's Break Up: 'Prayer & Reflection' Cited for Ending Engagement Blac Chyna's break up with Derrick Milano was confirmed via Instagram stories. Both White and Milano announced the news on Thursday, July 3. Their statements framed the decision as an amicable one, guided by faith and personal reflection. According to TMZ, Angela White's statement read: 'After much prayer and reflection, Derrick and I have decided to call off the engagement. We love each other deeply and are good friends, but we both believe that God's guidance has shown us that this is the right path for both of us, as we each continue our journeys.' Her statement concluded, 'May we find peace and fulfillment in His divine will, trusting that His plan is greater than our own.' Milano released a nearly identical statement, confirming the mutual decision to end the engagement. We wish them both the best on their new paths.
