DEWA Launches AI Tools to Boost Project Efficiency and Solar Development
Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) has unveiled two new artificial intelligence tools to accelerate project planning and enhance technical performance, marking a key step in its ambition to become the world's first AI-native utility. The newly launched tools—Material Insights Agent and BRD Generator—are designed to support engineering and technical staff in delivering faster, more accurate outcomes. The Material Insights Agent functions as a virtual photovoltaic expert, offering real-time data analysis and simulation for solar energy projects. The BRD Generator, on the other hand, uses generative AI to automatically create Business Requirements Documents, improving clarity and speeding up decision-making. HE Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD & CEO of DEWA, said the tools reflect Dubai's broader vision to integrate AI across all services and operations. 'These innovations reinforce our commitment to using the latest technologies of the Fourth Industrial Revolution to enhance productivity and global competitiveness,' he stated. By automating key project tasks and enabling quicker, data-driven decisions, the tools are expected to significantly improve quality, reduce manual workload, and support DEWA's global leadership in energy, water, and smart service solutions.
