The one-minute-ten-second clip showcases Netanyahu making repeated claims dating back to 1996, most delivered on major global platforms. The video, compiled by American broadcaster CNN, has been widely shared on social media. As per the video, the first such statement was made in October 1996, during Netanyahu's first term as Prime Minister. In it, he warned, 'The deadline for attaining this goal is getting extremely close." Since then, similar claims were made in 2002, 2012, 2015, and most recently on 13 June 2025 — the day Israel launched strikes on Iranian nuclear and military facilities. — BRICS News (@BRICSinfo) June 18, 2025 The timing of the video's resurgence is significant, as Israel and Iran are currently locked in their most intense military exchange in history. The latest conflict, now in its sixth day, began with Israeli strikes on Iranian sites, which Israel said were aimed at halting Iran's nuclear ambitions. Iran has since retaliated. A decade later, in a widely publicised speech at the UN in September 2012, he claimed, 'By next spring, at most by next summer, at current enrichment rates, they will have finished the medium enrichment and move on to the final stage… It's only a few months, possibly a few weeks, before they get enough enriched uranium for the first bomb." In March 2015, Netanyahu warned, 'The foremost sponsor of global terrorism could be weeks away from having enough enriched uranium for an entire arsenal of nuclear weapons." Later that year, in October, he added, 'That would place a militant Islamic terror regime weeks away from having the fissile material for an entire arsenal of nuclear bombs." His most recent comment, made on 13 June 2025, echoed the same concern: 'If not stopped, Iran could produce a nuclear weapon in a very short time. Iranian missiles strike Israel's port city of Haifa, oil refinery targeted
Iran on Saturday launched a barrage of missiles at Israel with sirens being heard across the country as Tehran targeted Israel's port city Haifa and five people were reportedly killed in the strikes. Emergency responders said that rockets from Iran hit Tamra, east of Haifa, wounding dozens and killing four others, including a Palestinian woman and her two daughters. The barrage of attacks by Iran was the first on early Sunday morning, as Israel sent alerts to its citizens to take shelter and sirens were activated in the northern Israel and Haifa area while Israeli air defenses were activated to intercept the attack. Iran's second night of ballistic missile attack on Saturday aimed to be targeted around Israel's major port city, Haifa. In the spill over effect of Iran's missile attack on Haifa, Syria, Jordan and Iraq announced closure of their airspace. And Lebanon also canceled all its incoming and outgoing flights as Iranian projectiles were spotted in Beirut, Washington Post reported. BREAKING: Iran is striking Haifa Israel. On Saturday night and early Sunday morning, Iran targeted Israel with dozens of ballistic missiles that even landed in Israel's port city Haifa. Haifa, which remained the primary target of Iran's missiles on Saturday, is the site of a major naval base, oil refineries and numerous chemical plants which are significant to Tel Aviv. A New York Times report states that Israel's largest oil refinery is situated in the Haifa Bay area. Missiles targeted some cities north of Haifa, and reports suggested that one person was critically injured in the attack. Israel struck the Shahran oil depot in Tehran. Iran has launched about 200 missiles at Israel since Friday night, along with a barrage of explosive drones, the Israeli authorities have said. However, the Israeli military has yet not declared the exact number of missiles it intercepted and how many evaded its defence system. Though the Israel's Prime Minister's Office confirmed that 17 sites were identified where missiles from Iran made an impact. Tel Aviv and its suburbs of Ramat Gan and Rishon LeZion, in central Israel's coastal plain, and on Saturday, the northern city of Haifa and its surroundings.

They would have never done that for anybody else but me," he said, exuding confidence while talking about key US demands in negotiations for a trade deal between the two countries. The US and India have been negotiating a trade deal that the Trump administration has said could be one of the first to be announced, among the slew of deals under discussion between the US and its other trade partners. Imports from India were tariffed at 26 percent, which is currently down to 10 percent, a flat rate the President announced for all countries in a 90-day pause, with the exception of China, whose goods coming into the US are under a 145 percent levy. Pope Francis' popemobile converted into clinic for Gaza children
ALBAWABA - To fulfill his final wishes before passing, Pope Francis' iconic popemobile will be converted into a mobile health clinic and sent to Gaza to aid children affected by the ongoing Israeli aggression on the Strip since Oct. 7, 2023. Vatican's official media outlet confirmed the news on Sunday, sparking widespread praise from pro-Palestine and human rights activists. The popemobile was used during Pope Francis' 2014 pilgrimage to the holy land. Francis requested that the vehicle be used to treat injured and malnourished children in Gaza. According to CNN, the popemobile will be renovated and supplied by Caritas with medical equipment for diagnosis, examination, and treatment, with doctors and medics on board. Alongside his ceasefire request, the late Pope condemned Israel's actions and made it his mission to frequently call Christian children in Gaza, who take shelter in a church. He said in December 2024, "This is cruelty. This is not war." The ongoing Israeli aggression on Gaza has resulted in the killing of at least 52,000 Palestinians, with injuries rising to more than 118,000, including children and women, as reported by Gaza's Health Ministry.

Trump demands Taliban to return $7B military equipment
ALBAWABA - US President Donald Trump recently made headlines after rekindling his demand from Afghanistan's Taliban to return $7 billion worth of military equipment including aircraft, weaponry, and vehicles. His demands sparked again during the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) in Maryland. Trump said during the conference while expressing his anger towards the Taliban, "We have a great, you know, I rebuilt our entire military in the first term. We left a lot of it, although a lot of it, but very small, relatively, in Afghanistan." He added, "The Taliban has it. You know, they have their parade every year where they take our military vehicles and run them up some little street, and like it's their form of a military parade, and it makes me angry when I see that. Angry. When I see that, I get angry."
