Anna Camp Reacts to Flood of Attention After Coming Out, Revealing Girlfriend Jade Whipkey (Exclusive)
Anna Camp is taking in the chatter about her relationship status—and she's feeling the love.
The actress went red-carpet official with her girlfriend Jade Whipkey earlier this year, surprising some fans who did not know she is part of the LGBTQ+ community—which is not something Anna anticipated. Before presenting an award at the 2025 Mediterrane Film Festival's Golden Bee Awards on Sunday night, Anna reflected on the noise.
'We're definitely surprised by all of the attention, to be totally honest,' Anna told Cosmopolitan on the red carpet. 'We've been a bit surprised by all of the hubbub, but there's been a lot of support so we're very grateful and thankful for everybody who is supportive of us. It's lovely.'
Anna and Jade walked their first red carpet together last month during the Los Angeles premiere of Anna's new movie, Bride Hard, after sparking romance rumors a month earlier when Jade posted a picture of Anna on her Instagram.
'We're so happy together, Anna said. 'It's just been such a wonderful, transformative time in my life. I'm so thankful to have her by my side.'
Also on her side? Anna's costar Rebel Wilson, with whom she shared the screen in the Pitch Perfect series and their new comedy, Bride Hard. 'Rebel and I go back so many years—something like 14 years, we've known each other—and she's been the most supportive out of everyone of me coming out.'
Rebel and Anna reunited on screen as best friends in Bride Hard, and the experience was as fun behind-the-scenes as fans might guess.
'It was one of the best experiences because we know each other so well, and we get each other's comedy, and also we were playing best friends in the movie,' Anna told Cosmo. 'To have that chemistry already there, it made it very natural for us to be doing that together. I think people are enjoying it. It's just a fun, silly comedy that you can go watch in the summer and just laugh your friends.'

Anna and Jade walked the red carpet together at the 2025 Mediterrane Film Festival's Golden Bee Awards in Malta, where Russell Crowe, Barbie Ferreira, and others in the filmmaking community were honored.
'I've heard about this festival for a few years. I know it's relatively new, but the passion behind it—with many productions shooting here!—makes it a wonderful place to celebrate,' Anna said. 'Malta celebrates filmmaking. The festival has provided a very fun and creative environment for everybody to meet and greet, shake hands, and hopefully make more movies—and make more movies in Malta.'
