Ahaan Panday's Father Chikki Panday Once Bailed Shah Rukh Khan Out Of Jail

As per a Hindustan Times report, Chikki Panday once even bailed Shah Rukh Khan out of jail. As per the report, in 1994, Shah Rukh was arrested for threatening a journalist who had written a magazine article defaming him. SRK was held in custody, and Chikki Panday and actor Nana Patekar were the ones who bailed him out. Chikki Panday, whose real name is Aloke Sharad Panday, is Chunky Panday's younger brother. He is a businessman and philanthropist who prefers to stay away from the limelight. Chikki Panday is among Shah Rukh Khan's best friends in Mumbai and has helped him in the early days of his career. Filmmaker Karan Johar has often spoken about his deep admiration for Shah Rukh Khan, whom he considers both an elder brother and his closest friend in the industry. In a recent interview with Bollywood Hungama, Karan opened up about his family-like bond with SRK's family and heaped praise on Aryan Khan and Suhana Khan, expressing his wish for his own children, Yash Johar and Roohi Johar, to grow up to be like them. Speaking further about his bond with SRK and his family, Karan said, "I don't know... with Shah Rukh and Gauri, Aryan, Suhana and AbRam — they are my family. Like genuinely, they are my family. Aryan, in many ways, is my first born. I have a memory of holding Aryan in my arms and walking through a park in London, singing a song to him — and I can't sing to save my life. But he remembers that song, and I remember that song. So, when I see him directing a series today, I'm awestruck. When I see Suhana training for King, I'm awestruck." He added, "Because I'm like, look at these kids — how they've worked on themselves to become the talents they want to be. To create their individual identities and go beyond their father's unattainable legacy. I see them so hungry to achieve. Looking at them, my heart is full of joy. I want Yash and Roohi to grow up to be like Aryan and Suhana — as people, more than anything else. What strong human beings they've been raised to be by Gauri and SRK. Such pure hearts. They're just good children — well-mannered, well-raised, hardworking, yet hungry to achieve — and that's a combination hard to find." Karan further said that both Aryan and Suhana are aware of their privilege but have never taken advantage of it. He described them as the 'simplest kids,' noting that even though Shah Rukh has indulged them with everything, they have never asked for more. He expressed his deep respect for both Aryan and Suhana for carving out their own paths in the world, and credited Gauri Khan for raising them so well. Aryan Khan is now set to make his directorial debut with the Netflix series Ba***ds of Bollywood, while Suhana made her acting debut last year in Zoya Akhtar's The Archies. Though the film and her performance received criticism, Suhana is now preparing for her next big project — King, where she stars alongside her father Shah Rukh Khan. Directed by Siddharth Anand, the film reportedly also features Abhishek Bachchan, Deepika Padukone, Rani Mukerji, and Abhay Verma, and is currently under production.

Early review of Aryan Khan's directorial debut The Ba***ds of Bollywood: ‘Funny, very good director'
Shah Rukh Khan's son, Aryan Khan is all set to make his directorial debut with his maiden series, The Ba***ds of Bollywood. It will release on Netflix, in the second half of 2025. The first review of the show by Netflix's CEO Ted Sarandos is out now. Appearing on Nikhil Kamath's WTF podcast, Ted said, 'It (The Ba***ds of Bollywood) is very fun. I've watched the first two episodes so far. It's very funny. I think people in India and people outside of India know nothing about the inner workings of Bollywood. So it's a really fun world. He's (Aryan Khan) a very good director.' The Ba***ds of Bollywood is billed as a dark comedy, offering an insider's glimpse into the inner workings of the Hindi film industry. It is still in production. The show was announced at the Next during a Netflix event in Mumbai earlier this year. Covid nahi hota toh maine baat ki thi Ted se aur Bela se ki isko Netflix mein naukri de dein, wo assist kare kisi ko. But Covid ho gaya toh wo yahan par aa gaya (It's a very strange coincidence. If it wasn't for Covid, I'd talked to Ted and Bela ( Bela Bajaria, Netflix's Chief Content Officer) to give him a job at Netflix so that he can assist someone there. But Covid happened so he came back to India), and then he started writing,' said Shah Rukh at the event. The Ba***ds of Bollywood reportedly stars Lakshya and Sahher Bamba. It is said to have special cameo appearances by biggies like Salman Khan, Ranbir Kapoor, Karan Johar, and Ranveer Singh. Bobby Deol and Mona Singh are also said to be a part of the show. Meanwhile, makers are yet to announce the official release date of the show.
