SS Rajamouli's oldest cinematographer Senthil Kumar spills beans on not being a part of Mahesh Babu's SSMB29

SS Rajamouli and Mahesh Babu's magnum opus SSMB29 has been in the news for more than one reason. The film is indeed one of the ambitious projects for the director, and also stars some of the biggest stars from Indian cinema. However, it seems for this one, the director has replaced his oldest cinematographer. Senthil Kumar reveals why he is not a part of SSMB29 Cinematographer Senthil Kumar has worked with SS Rajamouli for the longest time, in several films like Magadheera, Eega, Baahubali: The Beginning, RRR, and more. However, this time for SSMB29, he is no longer a part of the project. Citing the reason behind this change, Senthil Kumar, in an interview with Telugu360, said, 'It's Rajamouli's call. He wanted to try someone new for SSMB29, which is why I'm not working as the cinematographer.' Mahesh Babu to shoot a solo mass dance number for SSMB29 According to a recent Deccan Chronicle report, Mahesh Babu will reportedly shoot a massy dance number, similar to Kurchi Madathapetti in SSMB29. The foot-tapping dance number will feature his swift moves and will be shot in an expansive set, which has been built on the outskirts of Hyderabad. A source close to the development confirmed that the set being crafted for this song will resemble a marketplace and will also replicate other iconic locations of the city. When Priyanka Chopra teased an update on SSMB29 launch Despite the never-ending hype on the movie, it seems the makers have been tight-lipped about revealing any details about the project, as it continues to be filmed in exclusivity. However, recently Priyanka Chopra Jonas, who is the leading lady for SSMB29, made a certain remark which fuelled buzz about her hinting at an update on the project's formal launch. Speaking with Mid-Day, she said, ' I am doing an Indian film this year. And we should be announcing it pretty soon!' However, she quickly rested any chance of further buzz by saying, 'Well. I just said I am doing an Indian movie. The rest you can speculate, but I'm excited about it.'

Tamannaah Bhatia redefines glamour with her bold take on layering

Actress Tamannaah Bhatia, in her latest Instagram post, spoke about embracing duality in both style and identity. Pairing a black sequined gown with a casual grey t-shirt, she highlighted how contrasting elements can coexist beautifully. The actress also explained that for her, fashion is not just about trends; it's a personal expression where glamour meets comfort and strength meets softness. On Sunday, the 'Baahubali' actress took to her Instagram handle and shared a couple of her stylish photos. She is seen wearing a chic black sequined gown that she teamed with a casual grey t-shirt. In the caption, Tamannaah Bhatia reflected on the power of layering, both in fashion and identity. She shared that while a black sequined gown and a grey t-shirt may seem like they belong to different worlds, to her, they felt like they were meant to meet. The actress wrote, 'The art of layering A black sequined gown and a grey t-shirt may belong to two different worlds — but for me, they feel like they were meant to meet. Because contradiction isn't conflict. It's where masculine edge and feminine instinct find harmony. It's also the art of layering — not just in what I wear, but in who I am. Clothes, jewellery, identity — none of it needs to be singular. Casual glamour isn't a trend. It's my language. And it's always layered.' Known for her impeccable sense of style, Bhatia consistently serves major style inspiration with her striking photos shared on social media. On the work front, the 35-year-old actress is busy filming her upcoming project 'Vvan: Force of the Forest' alongside Sidharth Malhotra. The movie, set against the backdrop of Central India's dense jungles, marks Tamannaah's first on-screen collaboration with Sidharth. The upcoming, much-awaited thriller is set to hit theatres on May 15, 2026. Meanwhile, As SS Rajamouli's epic saga 'Baahubali: The Beginning' celebrates 10 years of release, the team including leads Prabhas, and Rana Daggubati, director Rajamouli and composer M. M. Keeravani got together for an evening filled with nostalgia. The makers dropped a couple of glimpses from the reunion on the official page of the movie. The images were accompanied by an emotional note that read, '10 Years of Baahubali Reunion... What began as a dream turned into something far bigger than any of us could have imagined. A story that became a part of people's lives...A journey that brought us together as one family... And memories we will cherish forever. As we come together to celebrate 10 years of Baahubali, we are filled with deep gratitude — for every single person who believed in this story, stood by us, and helped make it what it is today. This reunion was more than nostalgic — it brought back a flood of memories from over a decade.' 'We fondly reminisced about everything that went right... and all the things that could have gone wrong, but didn't. It's those very moments that ensured Baahubali became what it is today.' Baahubali: The Epic to have over 5 hours runtime? After Rajamouli's announcement on Thursday, the ticketing platform listed the film with its release date of 31 October. The synopsis was simply listed as: Bahubali: The Epic, a two-part combined film. But it's the runtime of 5 hours and 27 minutes that caught everyone's attention. Baahubali: The Beginning has a runtime of 2 hours 38 minutes, and Baahubali 2: The Conclusion stands at 2 hours 47 minutes. While BMS took down the runtime now, people were quick to screengrab and have hilarious reactions to it. Internet reacts to potentially long runtime One X (formerly Twitter) user wrote their own version of Prabhas' famous 'Yedhi maranam? (What is death?)' dialogue from the film, writing, 'Edhi maranam. 5 hours 27min runtime maranam. (What is death? A runtime of 5 hours 27 minutes is death.)' Another wrote, '3hrs+ anukunte 5hrs+ cut aa. Inka 2 shows chusinate kada. (I thought it would be over 3 hours, but over 5 hours? That's like sitting through two shows.)' One X user questioned, 'Orey @BaahubaliMovie. Runtime 5hrs 27mins entra. 2 parts within 1 part ante, 2 parts ni kalipeshara. (What is this runtime of over 5 hours? When you said it'll be two parts in one, I did not think you meant literally)' Some fans, however, commented that they wouldn't mind sitting through the runtime. One brought up the famous scene of Kattappa killing Baahubali, writing, 'The whole "Kattappa Killing Baahubali" episode that runs for 20 minutes is peak Indian Cinema!' Film's team responds cryptically The official X page of Baahubali responded to the discourse and said, 'Haha… No worries! We won't take up your whole day. It'll be around the same time as an exciting IPL match. :).' One person replied to that, 'I can watch this whole day keep 5 hr 27min only don't trim please otherwise we miss that Epic experience.' The Baahubali films star Prabhas in dual roles as father and son, Amarendra Baahubali and Mahendra Baahubali, aka Sivudu. Anushka Shetty plays Devasena, and Tamannaah Bhatia plays Avantika. Ramyakrishnan and Rana Daggubati play Sivagami and Bhallaladeva in the magnum opus.
