I tried Bab Haus Mex at Newport Market and things got messy

After scouting the premises for a street food stall worthy of my judgement, I made the curious decision of ordering a Beef Brisket Chilli Burrito from Bab Haus Mex for lunch. When the burrito arrived at my table, I was impressed with its size. The burrito was large. (Image: Newsquest) Before I stuck my teeth into it, I could already tell it was filled to the brim and that it was going to leave me feeling full and satisfied. And I was correct, because inside the burrito I found a ton of meat along with well-cooked rice and a bit of a punch from the chillies. Indeed, it was spicy and if your someone who sweats easily, I would recommend ordering something milder from the menu. But for my personal tastebuds it had the perfect level of heat, and I thoroughly enjoyed chomping through the Mexican parcel of goodness. There was plenty of meat and spices in the burrito. (Image: Newsquest) However, with a big burrito comes big responsibility, and as I continued to tackle my lunch, it began to fall apart in my hands. I had not been given a tissue, so my hands were in a sticky state as I did my best to finish the remainder of the burrito before the sauce leaked all over the table. It probably was quite unsightly to see a grown man eat in such a primitive way, yet the burrito left me no choice. Regardless, my selection from the Bab Haus Mex menu turned out to be a tasty one which is why I would give it a score of five out of five. We visited Bab Haus at Newport Market. (Image: Newsquest) I paid £11.28 for my burrito, including service charge, which isn't the cheapest lunch in the world. Still, in this cost-of-living, inflation crisis, it's not easy to get a satisfying meal for under £10 when you're eating out. As for Newport Market itself, there are plenty of seats and its structure is perfect for a summer day. There are a range of cuisines to choose from. (Image: Newsquest) If you don't fancy Mexican food there are plenty of other cuisines to choose from and if you would prefer an ice-cold beverage, there's craft beer, soft drinks and cocktails on offer at the bar.
