In a candid chat with Humans of Bombay, the 'Bade Achhe Lagte Hai' star said that although TV stars are not paid as much as their big-screen counterparts, if you are a successful TV star and have invested wisely, you will have enough money to last multiple generations. Citing the examples of himself, his 'Bade Acche' co-star Sakshi Tanwar, and 'Kyuki Saas Bhi Kabhie Bahu Thi' actor Ronit Roy, he revealed that each of them has earned enough to buy several luxury cars and Kapoor also spoke about his admiration for fine watches and luxury automobiles. While he tends to maintain a low profile regarding his personal collection, his love for high-performance vehicles is well known. Among the luxurious models in his garage are a Mercedes-AMG G63, BMW X5, Porsche, Ferrari, and the recently purchased Lamborghini Urus, which is reportedly worth over ₹5.21 he acknowledges public curiosity about celebrity lifestyles, Kapoor noted that he and his contemporaries don't believe in flaunting their wealth. Instead, they enjoy their possessions in private, away from the spotlight. He observed that many others in his position feel similarly, but due to his public profile, his lifestyle choices inevitably become public delving into his financial journey, Kapoor pointed out that the earnings from a single hit show that runs over several years can sometimes match or even exceed eight years' worth of standard salaries. Television, when consistent and successful, offers an actor not just fame but also long-term financial stability. Kapoor remarked that those who stay at the top for two decades or more—and manage their income prudently—can create wealth that will sustain at least three or four praised actors like Ronit Roy, who transitioned from struggling in films to finding massive success in television. Ronit, once unable to afford basic necessities, reinvented himself when given a chance by producer Ektaa Kapoor. He has since built an empire, including vacation homes and a magnificent villa in Goa, he revealed. Kapoor highlighted that such actors value their achievements deeply because they have tasted both failure and Kapoor's personal portfolio includes expansive homes in Mumbai, as well as luxurious retreats in Goa and Khandala. He also owns a high-value vacation property in Alibaug, estimated at around Rs 20 crore as per a Times of India Kapoor is set to portray a brilliant detective in the upcoming series Mistry. The trailer, released on June 9, introduces his character Armaan Mistry—an eccentric investigator with obsessive-compulsive disorder who solves crimes in unconventional ways. Alongside him, Shikha Talsania plays his assistant, while Mona Singh portrays a senior police officer. The show is scheduled to premiere on JioHostar starting June 27.
