Never buy deodorant again thanks to a 20p a go Boots buy that STOPS you sweating – yes even in this heat
A BEAUTY whizz has shared her top tip to put a stop to smelly pits this summer. Elle McNamara (AKA Bambi Does Beauty) took to social media to share her summer hack just in time for the hot weather. 3 The 34-year-old revealed that the buy stops your armpits from smelling, and it works even better than deodorant. In the clip, she said: "You know when people say this beauty tip is going to change your life? "Well this one actually will. Personal Hygiene Tip 101. "If you use this face wash on your underarms, you won't even need to wear deodorant." She recommended using a shower gel with 4% Benzoyl Peroxide. She said the product, which is often used to treat bacterial acne, also kills the bacteria which causes your sweat to smell. Instead of using it on your face, Elle recommended applying it to your underarms for a few minutes, like a face mask, before washing it off. She added: "For my sweaty gals who want a non-stanky summer! "Just make sure to use a separate washcloth to remove it cos benzoyl peroxide stains the life out of everything." It's best to use a 4 or 5% product as any stronger may cause a rash under the arms. My nose is permanently red after sunburn She also recommended using it just once a week and it should be enough to keep the smell at bay. You can buy the face wash Acnecide from Tesco for as little as £10 and it will cost less than 20p a go. The clip went viral on her TikTok account @ bambidoesbeauty with over 734k views and 31k likes. People were quick to thank her in the comments. One person wrote: "Yes, it definitely works but you need to wash it off super well otherwise it's going to stain your clothes!" How to keep cool in hot weather Most of us welcome hot weather, but when it's too hot, there are health risks. Here are three ways to keep cool according to the NHS... Keep out of the heat if you can. If you have to go outside, stay in the shade especially between 11am and 3pm, wear sunscreen, a hat and light clothes, and avoid exercise or activity that makes you hotter. Cool yourself down. Have cold food and drinks, avoid alcohol, caffeine and hot drinks, and have a cool shower or put cool water on your skin or clothes. Keep your living space cool. Close windows during the day and open them at night when the temperature outside has gone down. Electric fans can help if the temperature is below 35 degrees. Check the temperature of rooms, especially where people at higher risk live and sleep. Another commented: "They also have a spray that works well." "Tried it - works like charm! especially in the summer," penned a third. Meanwhile a fourth said: "It most definitely works 100%, I only use it like 2 times a week and it's magic." "It's amaaaaaaazing, hands down beats any product for sweat,' claimed a fifth

The £6 shampoo shoppers are going wild for, which makes your hair grow quickly, but it won't be in the beauty aisle
WHEN it comes to growing your hair out, there's a whole lot of products you can try. Many swear by rosemary oil while others say an onion can help, but there's another product to add to the list. 2 2 The latest hair growth trend taking social media by storm is a Shampoo, but you won't find it in the beauty aisle. That's because women are obsessed with a horse shampoo and claim it helps locks grow way faster. The hashtag has over 16 million posts on the social media app, and one of them is Elle McNamara (AKA Bambi Does Beauty). The beauty whizz recently shared a video of her 'unsexy hygiene products' for the summer and it was at the top of her list. She wrote: "Every comment section on hair growth Tok recommended HORSE shampoo. "I have no idea on the science behind it but you know what - hell yeah." People in the comments section of the post were equally stunned and intrigued by the haircare product, Mane N Tail, that can be purchased for just £6 on Amazon. One person wrote: "Horse shampoo???" Another commented: 'I've literally never seen this shampoo used on an actual horse." "Mane and Tail omg I used that when I was about 14," penned a third. My hair fell out in clumps due to diet of takeaways and Coke but I had a turning point But the question is, how does it work? According to the company's site, it is jam-packed with Collagen, Biotin, and Keratin, which support cell growth, strengthen hair, and provide moisture to help maintain hair length. While many say it helps grow hair quickly (with some stating three inches of growth in just one month,) there might be something else at play. The hair range was originally created for horses, and was developed to repair split ends and prevent breakage. So, the quick hair growth people rave about might be from less breakage at the ends, rather than new hair coming from the root. Because the shampoo has added keratin, it's best to use it every other hair wash day rather than all the time. While keratin can make hair stronger, too much of it can make it brittle and more likely to snap off. 4 reasons your hair is thinning From fixing it to faking it, your guide to healthier, thicker hair from Trichologist Anabel Kingsley. 'Hair thins naturally as we get older because like our skin and muscles, the hair ages and changes,' Anabel Kingsley, trichologist at Philip Kinglsey explains. It can also be because of genetics, made worse by other health factors like menopause or thyroid disorders. 'Hair follicles very gradually shrink and produce finer and shorter strands with each passing hair growth cycle,' she adds. But while we can't help things like genetics or the ageing process, we can do something about some of the other causes of hair thinning. Here are four, fixable ones you need to know about. 1. Your hormones are raging 'Leading up to and during your period, the scalp may become oilier, which may trigger flaking and itching if you are predisposed to dandruff - and leaving an irritated scalp untreated can lead to hair loss,' says Anabel. Loss of hair post-pregnancy is very common too; 'After giving birth or stopping breast-feeding, oestrogen levels drop and return to normal,' Anabel explains. 'This can cause all the hairs retained during pregnancy to shed at once (usually six-12 weeks later), known as postpartum hair loss.' Don't panic, this is only temporary, but experts recommend you start taking daily hair supplements to support the hair's growth. 2. Your hair can't take the heat 'Heat drains moisture from within the hair shaft and because our hair's elasticity and strength is largely reliant on its water content, hair can become dry, brittle and prone to breakage,' Anabel explains. To prevent damage in the future, Anabel advises using a low setting on your heat styler, straightening only once a week and switching off your blow-dryer when your hair is just dry, as 'using heat on completely dry hair will evaporate water from the hair shaft'. 3. You're stressed 'Hair is non-essential to physical survival so it will always be the first part of you to suffer when something is off-kilter,' Anabel says. Stress affects the scalp which can have a negative impact on the eventual health and growth of the hair. 'Stress spikes cortisol levels which in turn increases oil production,' adds Anabel. 'Cortisol, a stress hormone, disrupts the skin's barrier function and triggers skin irritation which is why your scalp gets itchy and flaky when you are going through a stressful period.' 4. You're eating the wrong food 'Diet is incredibly important to hair health,' says Anabel. 'Being a non-essential tissue, hair is the last part of us to benefit from nutrients we ingest and the first to be withheld from them.' Avoid mercury-rich fish like tuna and also full-fat dairy like cheese if you suffer from dandruff. 'This can trigger flaking and itching which can then lead to hair thinning,' she says.
