‘They Ran Out Of…': Trump's Ex-Advisor Reveals SHOCKING Truth Behind Israel's Ceasefire With Iran
/ Jun 26, 2025, 07:27AM IST Steve Bannon dropped a political bombshell, claiming Israel only accepted a U.S.-brokered ceasefire to "save itself" from Iran's devastating missile barrage. In a brutal takedown, Bannon said Israel "bit off more than it could chew," admitting Iran's True Promise III operation pushed Tel Aviv to the brink. He credited Trump for brokering the ceasefire with Qatar's help as Israel's air defences crumbled and casualties mounted.

Steve Bannon Says Israel 'Not an Ally' of US
Based on facts, either observed and verified firsthand by the reporter, or reported and verified from knowledgeable sources. Conservative commentator Steve Bannon has a new message for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Fox News pundits: the short-lived war in Iran is over and won't require American troops on the ground. Why It Matters Bannon, a former senior White House adviser during President Donald Trump's first term, and others in the conservative sphere, like Tucker Carlson, were outspoken when Iran and Israel traded warfare. They warned against regime change in the region and pushed back against Israel's purported attempts to draw the United States deeper into another foreign war. What To Know Bannon took to his War Room podcast on Wednesday, iterating the end of any perceived conflict in the Middle East that would further involve the United States. "The 12-day war is over," Bannon said. "So, for Tel Aviv Levin and the people that are the town criers for the Netanyahu regime, bad news: the war is over. Not going to be any more American involvement; no more support for any regime change. President Trump is done. One and done. He couldn't have been more adamant about that." "Tel Aviv Levin" refers to Fox News host Mark Levin, who, along with another Fox News personality, Sean Hannity, praised Israel's strikes on Iran ahead of the United States' attack on three Iranian nuclear sites—Fordow, Natanz and Isfahan—last Saturday. In comments to Newsweek on Wednesday afternoon, Bannon clarified that he is a big supporter of Israel but wouldn't designate the nation as an "ally." "I have no problem, I've been a strong believer in Israel," Bannon said. "We've been with these guys on Gaza. In right-wing media, it's not even a question that we're the biggest supporters of Israel, and I'm proud of that. I love the Israel and the Jewish people and all of it, but they should be Israel First. "I've never said anything about Netanyahu doing what he does for his own country. What I'm saying is that America First—what happened here is just not acceptable. They're not an ally, and don't ask me on that; ask President Trump." He referenced how Israel and Netanyahu "bailed out" 30 minutes before the assassination of Qasem Soleimani, an Iranian major general, who was killed in January 2020 by an American drone strike ordered by Trump. More JACK GUEZ/POOL/AFP via Getty Images Trump has repeatedly stated that Iran's nuclear program has been "obliterated." He has also tried to stay out of the war of words between his own supporters affiliated with the MAGA movement. Bannon also said Wednesday that though the U.S. did its part, he expects continued calls from Fox News and others with similar views to continue to shield and aid Israel at the behest of American troops. "There's going to be tremendous pressure put on President Trump's administration—boots on the ground, regime change—you watch," Bannon said on War Room. "The 'Israel First' crowd over at Fox is gonna be relentless, and we're gonna make sure we're here to blunt it. "That's why they're all worked up, they're leaking oil, because we shut down their regime change, which they wanted to go to." Bannon also suggested that perhaps regime change should be considered in Jerusalem, referencing a Washington Post story citing multiple Israeli officials who reportedly said that Netanyahu decided to attack Iran last year and months in advance of Trump reentering the White House. Even after Trump was elected, senior Israeli government officials purportedly said a decision was reached in March—about one month before Trump met with Netanyahu in Washington—to strike Iran with or without U.S. assistance, according to The Post. "What they did is they drew us into a war they knew they couldn't finish," Bannon told Newsweek. "They drew us into a war they knew they couldn't defend against. So, this is my problem. We need to reset. We don't have an alliance with them, just like Ukraine. We've got to stop saying they're allies, they're not allies. In the one situation we needed them to help, Netanyahu went out of his way to back out. "They're a protectorate, and as someone that defends Israel, we have to put that in perspective. That changes everything. Support for Israel, which you see is collapsing particularly under people 40 years has to change and we have to do a better job of explaining what our relationship is." He added that Israel ought to consider regime change in Jerusalem. "It's an open secret," Bannon said. "Nobody trusts [Netanyahu] because he's Israel First. I have no problem with that, but it means that we have to deal with them very differently because he's so Israel First. "I think it's something has to be addressed and I think unless it's addressed, they're gonna lose support from the the people—particularly evangelical Christians and other people in the MAGA movement that do support Israel. They're going to just lose support and I think that's got to be reversed now." What People Are Saying Mark Levin last week on Hannity: "Let us be clear: This is a country that tried to assassinate our president. In the good old days, that would be enough to blow them off the face of the earth—they tried twice, and we haven't done anything. We have been fighting these b******* for 47 years—half a century. "They go on with their bumper stickers, 'Forever Wars, Forever Wars.' Well, guess what? The Israelis will put an end to these forever wars, and so will Donald Trump." Tucker Carlson to Bannon earlier this month: "The point is, if you think that saying, 'Hey, let's focus on my country, where I was born, where my family's been for hundreds of years, that was the promise of the last election, please do it,' if you think that's hate, you know, you've really lost perspective, I guess, is what I would say." What Happens Next On Wednesday, Trump warned that the ceasefire between Israel and Iran may not hold: "Some day it could maybe start again soon."

Bannon rips Levin after ‘POS' remark
Former White House aide and commentator Steve Bannon ripped into Fox News host Mark Levin this week as the two continue to trade barbs over the U.S. military's involvement in the conflict between Israel and Iran. 'Boy, Tel Aviv Levin's big mad,' Bannon said of Levin during an episode of his popular 'War Room' podcast. 'He's big mad as a spokesmodel for a foreign nation that didn't get them what they want.' The MAGA firebrand was referring to a social media post by Levin earlier this week that called Bannon 'a disgusting fraud,' over his time serving as a top aide to President Trump. 'You opposed our great military and commander in chief at a time when they acted to destroy Iran's nukes,' Levin wrote on social platform X, referring to the former Trump advisor. 'You and your tiny cabal of lunatics gave aide and comfort to the enemy,' he continued in the post. 'Now you prance around like you support our country rather than apologize for your outrageous disloyalty.' Levin is a leading voice on the right advocating for stronger military action against Iran and has used his weekend Fox News show to urge Trump to intervene in the conflict. Bannon, along with former Fox pundit Tucker Carlson, Georgia Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R) and others on the right, have argued a more isolationist point of view, warning so-called 'neo-cons' are trying to drag the U.S. into another Middle East war. Trump over the weekend authorized the U.S. military to launch strikes on three nuclear facilities near Tehran. Support among the president's allies has been largely split over the move, but Bannon signaled earlier this month that most would 'get on board' if the U.S. did intervene.

Trump surrogate calls Netanyahu 'bald-faced liar'
Former White House strategist for US President Donald Trump, Steve Bannon, called Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu a "bald faced liar" and Israel a "protectorate" on his Tuesday episode of his War Room podcast. Bannon remains a Trump loyalist with some influence over administration policy. He is a key figure within the Make America Great Again (MAGA) movement. He lashed out at Netanyahu for violating the ceasefire that Trump said he brokered between Israel and Iran. "You have the gall - particularly after what [Trump] did for you and the grief he's taken over here - you have the gall. When he said, 'This is what I've done, and I need you to be a partner, I need you to stand down first'... you lied to him. That's why he's furious," Bannon said. "Netanyahu goes on Israel TV and glazes. Don't glaze. Don't slobber all over [Trump]. It doesn't mean anything. You showed what you really thought of him last night," he added. "For supporters of Israel - which is kind of on the ropes about this - [it] makes it very hard when your top guy's dealing from the bottom of the deck. It is not straight. And in fact.... a bald-faced liar." Bannon also questioned the intelligence that was used to necessitate the US strikes on Iran and the way in which Israel dragged the US into a conflict it could not handle on its own. "We have to get a full accounting of what's going on here, because the Netanyahu government is out of control. You saw this point blank: President Trump bent over backwards, moved heaven and earth to get this thing sorted. Called it 'the 12-day war,'" he said. "When President Trump gets involved, when President Trump puts out these TruthSocials saying things are ended, you should take it like a papal bull." "Why did you have to come for us to take out the entire bomb-making nuclear apparatus, including the above-ground that we had to hit with Tomahawk missiles? Why did you appear that you didn't do anything to sort that out?" Bannon said. "Netanyahu basically bit off way more than he can chew, thinking that he could get us drawn into a major war. And it's not happening... you're not an ally, you're a protectorate and protectorates are not supposed to act like that."

‘Who in the hell are you?': Steve Bannon rips Netanyahu over influence on Trump and US
Steve Bannon delivered a fiery tirade on Wednesday aimed directly at Israel and Benjamin Netanyahu, wondering out loud 'who in the hell' the Israeli prime minister thinks he is to seemingly dictate the United States' foreign policy decisions as President Donald Trump weighs military action against Iran. Bannon, the former Trump chief strategist who now hosts the MAGA podcast War Room, has been at the forefront of a growing rift within the MAGA coalition over America's involvement in Israel's war with Iran. Along with fellow right-wing podcaster Tucker Carlson, Bannon has warned Trump that joining the conflict could lead to the end of his presidency and the fracturing of the 'America First' movement. Prior to Bannon taking to the air on Wednesday, it was reported that the president had already privately approved attack plans on Iran but was still withholding his final order in hopes that Tehran would give up its nuclear program. The United States is considering using massive bunker-busting bombs to destroy Iran's underground nuclear facilities amid Israel's relentless airstrikes, which have struck well over a thousand targets since last week. While the president has said he 'may do it' or he 'may not do it' regarding striking Iran, he's told Netanyahu to 'keep going' with Israel's military operation. Netanyahu, meanwhile, has urged America to support Israel in its war while blasting the president's MAGA critics, who have said that Trump is going back on his pledge to stop the 'forever wars.' 'Today, it's Tel Aviv. Tomorrow, it's New York,' Netanyahu told ABC News this week. 'Look, I understand 'America First.' I don't understand 'America Dead.'' During Wednesday's War Room broadcast, Bannon fumed that the Israeli leader had 'mangled' the president's negotiations with Iran on a nuclear deal so Netanyahu could push for 'regime change and regime destruction' in the region. 'That's what he was pitching the other night,' Bannon seethed. 'Who in the hell are you to lecture the American people? Who are you to lecture the American people? The American people are not going to tolerate it. Not going to put up with it.' Complaining that Israel was trying to 'jam' the United States into a situation that it knew it 'couldn't finish,' Bannon called on Netanyahu to 'go finish it' himself without America's help. 'Quit coming to us to finish it,' he groused. 'President Trump may come to that conclusion, but it's not something he would just say… 'Oh yeah, let's go bomb 'em and take care of it.' He's going to do it because he's got to weigh the options now that you've gotten us into it.' Bannon added: 'That's reality. That's the truth. That's exactly where we are, and people should be truthful with each other, particularly in these tough decisions. That's what allies do. Allies don't manipulate and don't inextricably draw people into situations from which the other party has to get them out of.' The one-time Trump adviser also took aim at the hawkish commentators and hosts at Fox News who are influencing Trump to join Israel in its conflict, accusing the right-wing network of trying to run Trump out of politics for years. He also seemed to direct much of his ire – without directly naming him – at weekend Fox News host Mark Levin, who has been one of the loudest pro-war hawks on Fox airwaves and has loudly criticized MAGA isolationists like Carlson and Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, who he dismissed as a 'little known politician from Georgia.' 'You're gonna question her, call her a pipsqueak from Georgia? Who are you?!' Bannon exclaimed. 'Anybody who took a paycheck from Fox in 2021 – Murdoch said they were going to make Trump a non-person. You sat there and you ran Ron DeSantis and Nikki Haley and all of them, that are never gonna be president and never going to win national elections. Ever!' He went on to claim that the Murdoch-owned conservative cable giant 'went all-in' on the 'collection of clowns' who ran for the 2016 GOP presidential nomination, adding that the network 'kneecapped Trump in the very first debate' because they 'hated' him. 'And to show how much you hate him, you won't even deal straight with him now. It's just propaganda, propaganda, propaganda and Lindsey Graham, Lindsey Graham, Lindsey Graham,' Bannon concluded, referencing the pro-war senator from South Carolina. Prior to Israel launching 'Operation Rising Lion,' which Netanyahu has said was necessary because Iran was weeks from completing a nuclear bomb despite American intelligence saying otherwise, Bannon urged the prime minister to 'read the room' and pull back on his threats to bomb Iran. He also pushed back on Levin, who is a member of the president's Homeland Security Advisory Council, for demanding at the time that America back an Israeli military campaign. 'It's gonna drag us into a regional war,' he said. 'We just got out of 20 years of it. It can't happen, and like I tell you, I'm the biggest supporter of Israel, but I tell all the guys, including people very close to Mark, that, hey, if they go it alone, it's the end of the American relationship with Israel. It's just the end of it. You can't because we're so tied to them.'
