Former Oregon Duck signs with Portland Trail Blazers for NBA Summer League

Former Oregon Ducks combo guard Keeshawn Barthelemy went undrafted in the 2025 NBA Draft but was signed by the nearby Portland Trail Blazers for the NBA Summer League, giving him a shot to prove he can play at the highest level. Barthelemy, a four-star prospect out of Ontario, Canada, began his college career with the Colorado Buffaloes for two seasons before transferring to Oregon for his final three years. Largely a contributor off the bench with the Ducks, Barthelemy proved himself to be a reliable shot-maker, specializing from beyond the arc. In his fifth-year senior season, he averaged 10.0 points, 2.5 assists and 2.3 rebounds per game on 42.6% shooting from the field and an exceptional 41.4% from three-point range. He knocked down nearly two triples per game. The NBA Summer League, played primarily in Las Vegas, NV, is a proving ground for NBA-level talent featuring rookies and other talented prospects trying to earn a G League or standard contract. Overseas scouts also take in the action. On the Trail Blazers' squad, the 6-foot-1, 180-pound Barthelemy will compete for minutes with the likes of James Bouknight (2021 lottery pick), Caleb Love (Arizona Wildcats) and Sean Pedulla (Ole Miss Rebels) among several others. He'll also play with Portland's 2025 first-round pick, center Yang Hansen. The Trail Blazers will play a guaranteed five games, beginning on July 11 at 8:00 p.m. (PST) against the Golden State Warriors and followed by contests on July 12th, 15th, 17th and a final consolation or playoff game. Barthelemy joins fellow guard TJ Bamba from the 2024-25 edition of the Ducks competing in summer league. Bamba will suit up for the Brooklyn Nets. Keeshawn Barthelemy, Jackson Shelstad help Oregon rout USC

March 1 - Keeshawn Barthelemy scored 20 points, Jackson Shelstad added 19 and Oregon closed the game on a 22-8 run to rout Southern California, 82-61, on Saturday afternoon in Eugene, Ore. The Ducks (21-8, 10-8 Big Ten) held the Trojans without a field goal for nearly six minutes in the decisive late-game stretch. Meanwhile, Oregon's long-range shooting ignited with a pair from Barthelemy beyond the arc, plus 3-pointers from Shelstad and Nate Bittle. Four of the Ducks' 10 triples on 27 attempts (37 percent) for the afternoon came over that 2:24 span, and Oregon hit 9 of 20 from deep in the second half overall. Barthelemy's 4-of-6 3-point shooting for the game led the Ducks, while Shelstad connected on 3 of 6 from deep. Shelstad added four assists, matching TJ Bamba and USC's Saint Thomas for a game-high. Shelstad also swiped a pair of steals to complement Bamba's three, while Bittle had five blocked shots to help Oregon's defense set the tone. The Ducks held the Trojans (14-15, 6-12) to 21-of-61 shooting from the floor, including 5 of 22 from beyond the arc. Rashaun Agee accounted for almost half of USC's total made field goals, going 10-for-14 in the loss. Agee scored a career-high 29 points, including a thunderous dunk with 13:35 remaining that pulled USC to within a 49-45 margin. That was as close as the Trojans got on their way to a fifth consecutive loss. Outside of Agee's outstanding performance, which included a season-high 14 rebounds, USC struggled. Chibuzo Agbo scored 13 points and Wesley Yates III added 12, but the backcourt duo shot 4 of 10 and 5 of 19 from the floor. Desmond Claude, coming in as USC's leading scorer (16 points per game), shot 0-for-9 from the floor and finished with one point. Meanwhile, Oregon got eight points and six rebounds off the bench from Kwame Evans Jr., while Bamba and Jadrian Tracey added seven points in the Ducks' fifth straight win. --Field Level Media
