#BasketballWives: Chantel Christie Blasts Her Estranged Sis Takari Lee Amid Jackie Christie Beef, Brittany Renner Jumps In–‘Terrible Azz Sister'

A new feud is unfolding within an already messy mother-daughter dynamic on Basketball Wives . After Chantel Christie publicly called out her 'toxic' mother, Jackie Christie, she found herself in a war of words with her estranged sister, Takari Lee. Fortunately for Chantel, she wasn't alone—her BBWLA castmate Brittany Renner jumped in to defend her from the woman she called a 'terrible azz sister.' Source: Frederick M. Brown/ Kayla Oaddams The ongoing family feud between Jackie Christie and her daughters has taken another turn, and now Brittany Renner is jumping into the mix. As previously reported, Jackie is making headlines for her viral physical altercation with her daughter, Chantel. The two were seen putting their hands on one another after Chantel urged Jackie to 'take accountability' for her actions. That led to countless moments of disrespect on Chantel's side and a shove, before Jackie seemingly punched her daughter in the face. Now, according to RealityTV Ent 's Instagram, Jackie's other daughter, Takari Lee, recently posted a TikTok appearing amused by the now-viral physical altercation, and that didn't sit well with Chantel, who fired back in the comments. 'Wait hold on, aren't you the same daughter that pulled a knife on Jackie?' Chantel wrote. 'You got 3 kids she's never met in person, but you wanna be on the internet taunting me? Girl tell me you have Stockholm syndrome without telling me you have Stockholm syndrome. You should leave me alone. Honestly, truly. This is my last warning shot.' Brittany Renner also hopped in the mix to take her friend's side and called out Takari by referencing her past criticisms of Jackie. 'You wrote a whole book detailing the way you were allegedly treated, @takari_lee,' Renner commented. 'BTW, I actually read it. It felt very rushed and overall like a long text message you probably wanted to send her directly. Your cry for help didn't matter then because it never will.' She continued, 'Do you care about the TRUTH or do YOU want to be the one to tell it? She isn't going to love you any differently, get you on the show, or take a sudden interest in you/your life/or your children so you gain what exactly? Terrible azz sister!!!' Takari then clapped back and spilled alleged tea bout her sister. 'Allegedly but your homegirl made many appearance validating everything I said…until she started messing with her dads prospects and got knocked up and needed mommy and daddies money so she switched up…allegedly!!' Jackie Christie has yet to speak on the ongoing family drama, but Chantel had (even) more to say. Hit the flip. Chantel Christie fired back at her sister, Takari Lee, with a no-holds-barred response, accusing her of being bitter, broke, and desperate for attention. Source: Jason LaVeris / Getty She started by calling out what she saw as jealousy. 'ahhh. there it is. The jealousy bug bit you? Now this all makes sense,' wrote Chantel before blasting Takari's financial status: 'Maybe you should've been messing with a prospect.. then you wouldn't be in the situation you in. Section 8, ain't it?' She went on to accuse Takari of being fixated on their mother and trying to insert herself into drama for relevance, and alleged that Takari once lashed out physically at Jackie too. 'Girl when this is all said and done you gonna be sitting right there in that same spot, miserable and mad at the world, waiting for the next opportunity to make a tik tok and chime in on things you claim you're so healed from,' wrote Chantel. 'Taunting me for experiencing some of the same s*** you did makes you no better than her.' She continued, 'You want attention from me that you dont get from her, here it is sis. You wanna comment on everything but the facts at hand— you TOO have reached a level of violence with Jackie because of her mistreatment. That's why you pulled a knife on her in Sacramento. You have THREE kids she's never met, but she wants legal rights to mine? Do you hear yourself?' After accusing her sister of waiting for a moment to attack, she made it clear she was done playing nice: 'We can both be hilarious, or you can stop trying to provoke a reaction out of me and just leave me alone.' She closed with a blunt warning. 'We can both be hilarious, or you can stop trying to provoke a reaction out of me and just leave me alone. You out here on the front lines standing up for someone that's never stood up for you. I need to heal and so do you bookie.' Influencer who converted to Islam now under fire after ditching hijab for raunchy transformation

A controversial reality star and influencer has raised eyebrows after seemingly backflipping on her muslim faith, less than one year after converting to Islam. The 33-year-old, who stars on VH1's Basketball Wives, converted last August and completely transformed her image in the process. The former Instagram model ditched her signature scantily-clad ensembles for conservative muslim garb, including a hijab and oversized clothing that hid her Insta-famous curves. At one point, she even covered up her entire face except for her eyes. But last month, she suddenly started dressing provocatively again, leading longtime fans to suspect that she'd ditched her Muslim makeover for good. 'Oh we eating bacon again I see,' commented one, while another wrote, 'Using Islam as clout girl.' 'She is nothing without attention; she put it on for that and now took it off for that,' wrote a third. Another claimed that her latest change may have to do with her recent divorce from rapper Kevin Gates, who is muslim. 'I try not to judge but the fact that Brittany Renner came out of that hijab soon as she broke up with Kevin Gates is insane lol. Just playing with them ppl religion for a man,' they wrote. However, some fans jumped to Renner's defence and argued that she could still be a faithful muslim despite ditching her hijab. has contacted Renner for comment. Renner, who shares a son with Dallas Mavericks forward P.J. Washington, first shocked fans when she posted a video of herself in a hijab last summer. She was previously known for posting racy pictures to Instagram and was linked with the likes of James Harden, Lil Uzi Vert and other celebrities before Washington. Renner also made headlines back in 2023 when she was spotted out for dinner with NBA legend Shaquille O'Neal in Beverly Hills. The pair were caught by paparazzi entering a restaurant, where they dined together and were seen laughing and joking. While the internet was buzzing after the video and photos of the two leaked, TMZ was told that 'there was nothing romantic going on' between the pair. She was also briefly married to controversial rapper Kevin Gates. She confirmed her split from the hip-hop star in a radio interview last month, saying, 'We got married April 6 and divorced May 28.' In a video shared to social media back in January, Renner explained that she had been Muslim for five months, sober for six and celibate for eight. After converting, the 33-year-old sometimes dressed so conservatively that she even covered her entire face except for her eyes 'This has been a really beautiful purification process for me of the mind, heart, body, and soul and an opportunity to meet myself deeper,' she said. 'What I have discovered is how deserving I have always been and am. Even with wearing the hijab, trusting so much so, that who is meant to see me will see me,' Brittany stated. Renner said she originally joined Instagram in 2012 for the purpose of getting validation and male attention. 'I feel free. I do not belong to this world, this world did not give me my joy, and it can't take it either,' she said, appearing to refer to Instagram. Renner has carved out a career for herself in reality TV in recent years. She appeared on seasons 11 and 12 of VH1's Basketball Wives and Joseline's Cabaret Las Vegas on The Zeus Network.

Brittany Renner confirms her divorce to Kevin Gates. ‘I followed my heart'

Brittany Renner said she followed her heart and is getting divorced. (Warning: The below link contains language some may find offensive.) In a recent radio interview with REAL 92.3 LA, the 33-year-old 'Basketball Wives' star revealed that she and her husband, rapper Kevin Gates, are officially going their separate ways. 'We got married April 6 and divorced May 28,' Renner said in the interview, which aired June 7. The social media star says the couple must now enter a 90-day waiting period. The waiting period, known as iddah in Islam, is meant to ensure that a woman is not pregnant. Renner converted to Islam in August 2024, per Complex. 'And then also in those 90 days it's for reconciliation, because Allah wants you to stay married,' Renner explained. 'During those 90 days, you are not to entertain anybody romantically.' Renner and Gates, who converted to Islam in 2016, went Instagram official in April, according to E! News. The couple sparked engagement rumors the following month after Renner appeared at the season 12 premiere of 'Basketball Wives,' which aired May 5, with a ring on her ring finger. Renner later referred to Gates as her husband in a since-deleted Instagram post May 4, per E! News. 'You don't fit on this show and that's why you're a fit for this show,' Brittany wrote in the caption. 'Last night at the #BasketballWives Season 12 premiere party with my huzband.' Renner says she's looking forward to a 'nice 90-day reset' With her 52-day marriage in the rear-view mirror, Renner says she now wants to focus on herself. 'I followed my heart,' she said in her interview with REAL 92.3 LA. 'And that's more than what most people can say in this world.' She goes on to add that she doesn't view the divorce as a bad situation and is ready to move on. 'I don't think anybody gets married to not stay married. So, I think my biggest thing for me is just a nice 90 day reset. Focusing on myself and pouring into myself,' she explained. She said 'what is meant to be is always gonna be.' The divorce comes roughly one month after Renner gushed about Gates in an interview with People. 'I'm with the person that I quite literally dreamed of,' she said in the interview, published May 5. 'And to be able to just wake up next to him and spend time with him, even to have him here behind me, it's like so surreal,' she added. 'He's just the most beautiful person inside and out that I've ever met.' At the time, Renner said that the couple weren't concerned about what the future holds. 'I think that's where people get a little lost,' she told People. 'Like, we gotta stay present and I feel like when we get too far ahead, we don't live in the now and have fun in the now and pour in each other into each other in the now,' she continued. The pair don't share any children together, but Renner does have a 4-year-old son, P.J. Washington III, with NBA player P.J. Washington.
