49 Gifts For Your Best Friend That Shout 'I Care About You'
A copy of The Book of Myself: A Do-It-Yourself Autobiography in 201 Questions if they've ever told you, "I should write a book one day," but have no clue where to start. This gives them fun prompts to write and reflect on the past, present, and future! A set of book-shaped sponges so their love of literature can make the task of washing dirty dishes just a little bit less miserable. Food residue, better read it and weep! A rotating disco ball diffuser that blends your BFF's two personalities of wellness and "Wanna go out tonight?" into one cute little home decor item. They can put in their fave essential oil and choose what color they want (it has various light settings and four mist functions) for whatever vibe they're feeling. A cold brew coffee maker so they can fuel up with a refreshing caffeinated drink while saving time *and* money in place of those all-too-frequent Starbucks trips. This popular device boasts an airtight lid and stainless-steel filter designed to keep coffee fresh for up to two weeks! An affordable cult-favorite luxury-scented candle that's giving Le Labo Santal 33 without the Le Labo price tag. They'll get subtle notes of jasmine, oud, and sandalwood — and a whole lotta, "Oooh, it smells so nice in here!" from whoever comes over to their place. Plus, a cleverly designed rechargeable electric candle lighter perfect for the friend who's gone through (or is still in) their Bath & Body Works candle phase. This flameless, windproof lighter makes lighting candles safer and easier — no more worrying about singed fingers. A customized pet paint-by-number to make them feel like a modern-day Van Gogh without having to actually know how to paint that well. Once they finish the piece, they'll immediately have a beautiful pet portrait of their furry best friend! A Frostbuddy, which any slow sipper will appreciate since it keeps their iced beverages colder for longer. They won't have to worry about ice melting and diluting their drink, and it'll fit most small, medium, and large cups from their beloved coffee chains like McD's and Starbucks! A buildable Lego cherry blossom that they can enjoy building with a friend (aka, you) or just on their own. Seriously, whoever thought of these just gets how much we all loved Legos as kids and ingeniously combined it with our love of flowers (minus the usual upkeep of real flowers, phew, thank god). A pair of "floating" air conduction headphones if they tend to sweat in places that they didn't even know they could sweat (in this case, it's the ears). These sit right over the ears, so they can still enjoy their tunes without always having to readjust their buds every 0.2 miles. And these help them be more aware of their surroundings, unlike other in-ear earbuds. A "Through The Seasons" Reverse Coloring Book, another edition of the original Reverse Coloring Book, and a fun way to stretch their mind, because instead of coloring in the lines like a traditional coloring book, they add the lines to decide the vibe of the piece. Reviewers love how relaxing this is and say it's quite satisfying to see the end results. A retro-style pixel art game Bluetooth speaker that allows your friend to create fun pixel art (using the free app) and watch their creations dance to the music. Plus, it can serve as an alarm clock, a retro game console, and a white noise machine! A teensy DIY cheese kit so they can make four batches of ricotta and farmers' cheese. Pair this with some wine and crackers, and BAM, they've got some yummy homemade cheese that only took half an hour to make. A pair of glowing lightsaber chopsticks to even make the Darth Vader in your life laugh a little bit. Easily switch these on with a push of a button, and now the fate of the galaxy (or their sushi dinner) lies in their hands! And a set of ceramic cutout soy sauce bowls that reveal cute little characters once your friend has soaked up the soy sauce in them. This is perfect for the friend who loves hosting a sushi night in! A pair of horizontal glasses so your BFF can lie down while watching TV or reading a book because plans that include being *fully* horizontal are their favorite type of plans. A mug-shaped ice cream maker — just freeze the single-serve mugs overnight, chill the ingredients for two hours beforehand, and with the press of a button, they'll have delicious, creamy goodness in minutes! This reviewer loves that it's super quiet, which is a constant complaint for those who have the Ninja Creami. A two-slice touchscreen toaster featuring seven touch-activated browning settings so they won't burn their morning fuel. Not only will they want to keep this on their countertop because it's so beautiful, but this toaster also has a clever crumb tray to help avoid messes and options for other things like bagels, English muffins, and waffles. A set of cat-themed tarot cards that comes with a guidebook, making it a perfect beginner-fuurriendly way for your bestie to dip their toe into tarot. I'm getting a sense that these need to be added to your cart immediately! A ring holder necklace so they can keep their beloved ring close to their heart (literally and figuratively). Reviewers who work in medicine and athletics love this since it secures their ring, and they don't even have to unclasp the necklace thanks to its clever and secure design. "The Secret Soup" — another version of the Magic Puzzle series that has gone viral on TikTok for its stunning illustrations and the fun, magical twist that reveals itself once the puzzle is complete. There are over 50 Easter eggs in it, and each miniature scene will make them feel like they're going on many adventures as they solve this unique puzzle. A waterproof "Charcuterie Safe" because they mean business when it comes to charcuterie boards. This allows them to do all the prep beforehand, so they can easily set up their IG-worthy display without having to do all the slicing and dicing right then and there. An Apple Watch stand if your friend wants to feel a touch of nostalgia in a world of sleek, modern devices. It's designed to work with their existing charger and adds a playful vibe to any nightstand, because who says tech can't be cute? A miniature book hair clip so unique and gorgeous that they'll want to burst out into a poetic song about how lovely it is. Their love for literature runs deep, like deep enough that they'll wear this more than once a week. A heated eye massager to help relieve stress and let them listen to their favorite playlist while they rest, thanks to the five different massage modes and built-in Bluetooth speakers. They deserve a little R&R for getting through the day, and this is the perfect way to help them get it. A set of light-up bath fizzes if they want to recreate the vibes of going out... just at home... in their bubble-filled tub. These are made with natural essential oils, shea butter, and coconut oil, so they'll still give off a spa-like experience. A personalized word search blanket that you can customize with their name and all the fun inside jokes that deserve to be cherished until you're both old and grey. The 369 Method Manifestation Journal so they can dive deep into identifying, setting, and achieving their goals through the Law of Attraction. This gives them space to write down their goals — three times in the morning, six in the afternoon, and nine at night — and manifest what they are hoping to achieve. A "Gracula" garlic crusher, which does a FANGtastic job at doing the annoying, tedious job of crushing up garlic cloves. All they have to do is insert the cloves, twist, and they're done. Whoever created this little gadget is a bloody genius! A set of rainbow wineglasses that are just as functional as they are beautiful. They can fill these up with some bubbly and add a sparkling touch to their dinner table and their kitchen cabinets. An Airplane Pocket tray cover because your jet-setting bestie knows the struggle of trying to squeeze a full-size water bottle in the seatback pocket. With the many compartments, they can keep all those Hudson News snacks, water, and their phone all in a secure spot without having to annoy their seatmates when they get up for the fifth time to get something from the overhead bin. A "huggable" squishy gummy bear night-light if your BFF wants to spice up their room decor with something that is bear-y cute. This sweet lil' guy also has a one-hour automatic shut off, so they'll be able to doze off with sweet dreams. A baguette-shaped pillow that is just the thing they knead in their room for the ultimate comfy, cozy vibe. Reviewers say it's super plush and you can use it as a body pillow, a napping pillow, or just as a fun piece of decor. A guided visual "breathing partner" since your friend needs a little mindfulness to get through the day or help them fall asleep at night. It'll guide them through calming breathing exercises and hopefully help them feel a little less stressed and more relaxed, thanks to the soothing changing colors. A little popcorn bucket vase for adding a fun *pop* of color to their coffee table or nightstand. Bonus points if you bring them flowers already in it when you gift it to them! A Renpho percussion massager if your friend feels young at heart but their body isn't feeling so young anymore. This has five speeds and five massage heads to target all those sore muscles from whatever activity they thought they were still up for. A personalized Stanley name tag since their big ol' honkin' aluminum cup wasn't enough to let everyone know that they ARE, in fact, the main character in every room they walk in. A mini donut maker perfect for the friend who will die on the hill that a sweet breakfast is better than a savory one. They'll be able to craft fresh donuts from the comfort of their own home and enjoy a sweet treat at any hour of the day. A pound of cereal marshmallows that will make your bestie realize how truly lucky they are to have you as a friend because a pound of pure sweetness can make anyone's boring Tuesday feel a little more 🌈 magical. ✨ Sriracha: The Game — it's a card game, but add a little 🌶️ spice. 🌶️ When you see pairs or sandwiches in the deck, you slap them to collect, and whoever has the most cards wins! This fast-paced game will have your friend questioning which they love more: Sriracha itself or the condiment-inspired game. A mushroom growing kit so your friend can feel accomplished by harvesting their own ingredients for dinner and whipping up a tasty meal with some sweet umami flavors. A teensy candy vending machine for the friend who is always down for a sweet little treat. They can keep this at home or bring it to the office so they'll always have a little sweetness during their 9–5. A flower press kit that lets them save their favorite finds from nature and use them as decorations for scrapbooking, pieces in a floral collage, or cute additions to gifts. Small Batch Bakes, perfect for those who just want a sweet treat without the hassle of converting those "serves 24–36" recipes into smaller batch sizes. They can flip through these delicious recipes meant for one to six people and satisfy their sweet tooth. A strap-in airplane headrest/eyemask to help them actually enjoy their mid-flight or mid-car ride nap and not wake up with a crick in their neck. Their seatmates will be thinking, "Wow, why don't I have one of those?" A marble board wire cheese cutter that'll be a gouda-ddition to their kitchen tools. Now they don't have to spend time cutting slices of cheese for their guests because they can just do it themselves and awe at the stylish marble tool. A fun BBQ rub set with Cajun, Memphis, Caribbean, Southwest, Beef BBQ, and Chicken BBQ seasonings that they can use on meat and fish. Not gonna lie, this is like gifting them a one-way ticket to Flavortown! A neon "SNACKS" sign that will have a place of honor in their kitchen because if there's one thing in life they love, it's having free will and eating Cheez-Its, salami, and pickles for dinner. A levitating planter to impress everyone who walks through their door. This modern twist on the traditional planter will have your friend amazed and happily relieved that it's a faux plant (in case they don't have much of a green thumb).

With this, just add three ounces of cold water, 1.5 ounces of hard liquor, and the tea sachet to your most festive drinking vessel. If everyone in your family loves the beach but then somehow starts complaining about how they're bored a mere hour in, this could be a fun solution. A Summer Lemon Marinara sauce that, quite frankly, is the best version of pasta sauce that I've ever had out of a jar. And much better than some sauces I've had out at restaurants! It more or less feels like "il dolce far niente" to me, even if I'm pouring it over some noodles that expired a month ago in my pantry. A Lululemon-inspired tennis skirt with built-in shorts and a secret inner pocket because are you even living your best summer life if you're not claw-handing your iced coffee and phone in one hand while you wildly gesticulate as you tell your friend a story on a neighborhood walk? But you may wanna warn your pals ahead of time before your day at the beach because everyone KNOWS you're a Diet Coke girly. A *foldable* wide-brim hat for helping make your outfits look even cuter, and keep the sun off your face. Being in the sun is much more enjoyable when you can keep the sun off your face! An underwater "treasure hunt" pool diving game if you've got some skilled swimmers in the fam who love to opine "I'm bored" after you're at the pool for an hour or so. It even comes with an erasable scoreboard so things can get a little competitive during this secretly educational activity. A giant bubble powder kit to help create a whole lot of fun in a small amount of time *and* space. It's also a great "I'm bored" cure for kids home for the summer. Some kids' aviator sunglasses–style Speed goggles you'll wish would come back in stock in your own size because they're that cool. Just file this under fashion wins for kids! A portable 100-inch movie screen that'll also store pretty easily after you've laid the seeds for some nightmares because of your Slasher Summer movie series. And a Spooky Summer book to help you bide your time in between making your neighbors watch each Friday the 13th movie with you. Just wait until Rick across the street learns that Freddy Krueger eventually comes into play. An inflatable dinosaur water play center you wish came in an adult size, too. Just be prepared that after you break it out the first time, you're probably going to have to set it up dozens more times this summer. A solar-powered bird bath fountain pump you can plop into your overlooked bird bath or another piece of backyard decor that can hold water for a mesmerizing water feature that'll require very little H2O. With this, the water can reach up to a foot high and, hopefully, lure in some winged entertainment for your outdoor rooms. A hook and ring game that'll work in even tiny outdoor spaces. Every backyard needs some kind of game element! You'll def be able to squeeze in this one. A "boardwalk"-scented spray SPF 30 in case you find yourself on an actual boardwalk during a go-with-the-flow just sipping some wine on a patio where you're DEF in direct sunlight. Oh, and it's in a vegan, water-resistant formula made to protect you for 80 minutes. A fancy umbrella that reviewers love for their patio but *also* take along to the beach. But if you're landlocked, you still have lots of shady backyard ops to use it. A zip-up one-piece with cute cap sleeves and a fun print if you can't stand on the beach 20 minutes without getting sunburned on your chest. Or, you just wanna get versatile with the amount of cleavage you show. If you're feeling splurgey, Kopari Sun Shield Body Glow Gel SPF 45 delivers on some major glitz while blocking the sun's harmful rays. In case you've always thought, "I love how people look all glowy while oiled up!" but have gone for traditional SPF for obvious reasons, here's your sign to try this. A *rocking* camping chair in a fun color combo so you'll 1) have a comfy place to sit for a spell and 2) help you differentiate your seat in a sea of boring neutral camping chairs. A color-changing LED flying disc to help you squeeze in a bit more backyard time when there's no school tomorrow and you feel freeeee. A tie-dye party set can help transform the fam's T-shirts with stains that just won't budge into the pieces you'll have to constantly wash because everyone wants to wear them as much as possible! A little summer craft always hits different. (It's super easy because the colors won't run on cotton, rayon, and wool.)

These online resellers bring in hundreds of dollars a month. Here's how they do it
PHILADELPHIA - In Society Hill, Angela Tate makes an extra $200 a week on average, on top of her full-time job. Across the river in Haddon Heights, New Jersey, Katie Repko brings in about $500 to $700 a month while taking care of a newborn. In Philadelphia's Far Northeast, Kristin Doll made $75 in minutes - with just a photo of a discontinued "Aquamarine" Bath & Body Works lotion and a few clicks. These Philly-area residents have found success with an often-hit-or-miss side hustle: selling stuff online. "My best week was probably around $400, while working full-time," said Tate, 34. She is now scaling back her nannying career to focus on building her Closet Happy Hour social media pages into a full-blown online business. On the secondhand market, Tate said, "there is money to be made, and I love it." As persistent inflation has tightened household budgets, more U.S. consumers have taken on side hustles in recent years. Reselling clothing, accessories, furniture, home decor, and other items can be an appealing way to bring in extra cash. It can be done from home, and many resale websites and apps now assist with the process, though some take a cut of sellers' revenue. Analysts expect the secondhand market to grow even more in the coming years. High demand for secondhand Successful resellers say the gig requires time, effort and patience but can pay off, now more than ever. Repko, a 36-year-old who has been reselling since college, said demand recently exploded, driven by Gen Z and millennial consumers who want to save money and reduce waste. "Why spend $300 on something when you can spend $50 on it after somebody wore it once?" Repko said, describing the mindset of secondhand-market devotees, including her Retail Rescue Consignment followers. Across seven platforms, Repko currently has about 3,000 listings - mostly women's clothing, accessories, and shoes. Local customers can try on items at her home before they purchase. Repko has become so skilled at reselling that her friends, relatives, and neighbors now enlist her to sell their unwanted items, letting her keep a cut of the sale. Repko said she is currently selling for 36 other people. Drew Lazor also sells for friends and family. The 41-year-old Philadelphia freelance writer turned his pandemic sneaker-resale hobby into an online consignment shop for things people in his life would otherwise throw away. "If I have a T-shirt that I don't want, I sell it to someone else. I make a little bit of money. I declutter my house, and it doesn't go into a landfill," Lazor said. "That's a win across the board." Struggles of the resale market For every online-marketplace success story, there are countless tales of people who post items and get few takers. Some also deal with sophisticated scammers, including those who use AI chatbots. As an apartment dweller in Media, Pennsylvania, Chelsea Williams said, she wishes she could sell home decor, clothes and shoes at a neighborhood yard sale, instead of dealing with the back-and-forth of Facebook Marketplace. She has made about $200 selling furniture and home decor there, she said, and no more than $50 selling clothes. "You have to stage the clothing," said the 35-year-old, who works in accounting. Household items, on the other hand, can be easier to sell with "just a picture of a box saying 'coffee maker.' " In Philadelphia's Northern Liberties, Julia Duong recently made $60 selling an Instant Pot on Facebook Marketplace that she bought for $100, then barely used. When it comes to clothes, she often ends up just giving them away. Regular resellers said they have learned to be patient, keep posting items, and utilize multiple platforms. At the right price, "everything sells eventually," said Alexandra Yeganeh, a 34-year-old stay-at-home mom in Philadelphia, who has sold thousands of items. "Some things sell in the same day. … Some things sit for years." How to make money selling online Successful resellers say confidence and persistence are key. "Setting up the infrastructure to do it is very tedious. It takes a while to get momentum and get rolling," said Lazor, who would recommend starting on "tried and true" eBay due to its ease of use and number of shoppers. "There is definitely no reason to be intimidated," said Doll, a 38-year-old dental assistant, who made about $1,000 in a few months selling clothes, home decor, and skincare items on Poshmark and Mercari. "You can put things up. You can delete them. You can relist things. You have nothing to lose." Buyers are drawn to listings with high-quality photos, in good lighting, from different angles, and modeled on a person if possible, resellers say. In the description, be up-front about imperfections, including photos of small marks or tears, so buyers don't complain that they were misled, Doll said. To set a price, resellers said, they look for similar listings using a reverse image search to get a sense of the going rate. Prices should account for wear and tear, and high-end clothing with original tags can command a higher price. Certain items might sell better on a specific platform. Yeganeh said she goes to Facebook Marketplace when she is selling larger items she would prefer to have picked up in person, like furniture. Children's clothing and baby items tend to find new homes quickly on Marketplace, too, she said. eBay, meanwhile, is where Yeganeh said she sells collectible items or anything that might appeal to an older generation. Depop is her go-to for listing trendy clothing and "anything '90s." Tate and Repko have found followings on their own resale Instagram and Facebook accounts. Tate teases "curated drops" - such as summer neutrals or wedding guest dresses - on her Closet Happy Hour Instagram and Facebook pages and posts during after-work hours or on Sunday nights. "You want as much visibility as you can get," Tate said. Resellers said the extra cash goes toward everything from groceries to bills to concert tickets. And, yes, sometimes, other items on the resale market. Copyright (C) 2025, Tribune Content Agency, LLC. Portions copyrighted by the respective providers.

Calvin Klein Bets on Body Sprays to Be Gen-Z's Obsession
Since its launch of Obsession and Eternity perfumes in the '80s, Calvin Klein created the modern fragrance playbook. Now, it's playing catch-up. Its iconic campaigns for Obsession, featuring a then-fresh-faced Kate Moss, was an instant and much-referenced hit. The same was true of Eternity, which propelled supermodel Christy Turlington beyond the runway into every major department store and magazine. The scents also tied back to its core fashion business, underscoring an equally sexy and raw style of luxury. While the brand is one that has historically been steeped in culture — and youth culture no less — the current zeitgeist has taken a sharp turn towards lighter, sweeter and more playful scents and styles. No longer content to sit on the sidelines, the Coty-produced line will unveil a new product: Hair & Body Perfume Mists, a selection of four spritzes priced at $38 on July 1. The line includes Cotton Musk, Nude Vanilla, Sheer Peach and Silky Coconut, with a formula enhanced with glycerin, a moisturising ingredient, as a nod to the body boom in beauty. In the US, the line will debut on Calvin Klein's e-commerce website and Amazon, and at retailers including Boots, Douglas, Myer and Sephora in markets like India, Europe and Australia. The collection joins a glut of such sprays on the market. Since the smash success of Sol de Janiero's body sprays amongst teens and twentysomethings, fragrance mists, or other kinds of lightweight, lower-priced perfume offerings have become catnip for the under-25 crowd, with labels like Phlur, Rare Beauty and Saltaire all debuting their own iterations. But body mists are not new – brands like Bath & Body Works have seen a resurgence in their sales thanks to updating and reissuing their scents from the 1990s and 2000s. In Piper Sandler's biannual Taking Stock With Teens report, Bath & Body Works has ranked as the favourite brand for female teens for four consecutive quarters. Creating a range that resonates with young shoppers isn't new for Calvin Klein. The launch of CK One in 1994 was one of the first 'genderless' perfumes and thus worn by every tween or tween in America. Making the brand stand out on shelves in stores could be trickier today — the brand excels at minimalism, edginess and grit for its hero scents, but the body mist category is led by sweeter, more gourmand and often girlier scents. Sol de Janiero's are redolent with salted caramel, exotic fruits and sweet vanilla and featured in pastel translucent packaging. The line-up is comprised of four scents. (Courtesy) 'We wanted to create something very simple, very accessible, kind of like the underwear,' said Javier Zotes Ciancas, senior vice president of Calvin Klein Fragrances at Coty, describing the scents as 'fresh and effortless'. The brand's point of difference will be framing the offering around the idea of the body, referencing the product's skin-moisturising benefits and the brand's long associations with the undressed talent, thanks to blockbuster ad campaigns featuring the likes of Jeremy Allen White and Bad Bunny more recently, and Brooke Shields in various states of dishabille (PVH Corp, the American fashion firm manufactures Calvin Klein's clothing line) This launch has no famous face — initial adverts feature four models — and bottles are monochrome in shades of orange, pink, blue and green, with the Calvin Klein name embossed on the cap, a nod to the waistband of its boxers, said Zotes Ciancas. Tynan Sinks, a beauty editor and co-host of the fragrance podcast Smell Ya Later, said Calvin Klein's original perfume offerings still hold weight with serious collectors, but that youth appeal is needed. 'I'm always looking forward to the next iteration of a Calvin Klein flanker, and they're probably still moving units in on perfume counters,' he said. 'But that's not the way we shop anymore.' A Spritz Ahead Prestige fragrance licenses are the bulk of Coty's revenue — the American giant also makes scents for the likes of Chloé, Gucci and Burberry. While fragrance has been a consistent bright spot in an otherwise cooling beauty market, rumours began to swirl in June that Coty was considering selling off its prestige and consumer divisions (the latter of which includes cosmetics brands like CoverGirl and Bourjois). The company declined to comment, but in its third-quarter earnings in May, highlighted its commitment to innovating in the fragrance space. It said it would co-create scents with retailers, prioritise more affordable lines in emerging markets, and invest in new formats like pen sprays for Marc Jacobs and mists for the likes of Adidas. Sinks noted that newer formats like body mists aren't just typically cheaper than a standard eau de parfum or eau de toilette, they're also more durable and robust in their construction. 'You can throw one of these in your backpack and it'll be fine,' he said. Bringing younger shoppers into the fold is key for any brand's development, but for a brand like Calvin Klein with such historical associations with youth culture, it's more of an imperative, 'A lot of brands are going to launch [body mists] and a lot of those other brands are booming,' he said. 'We need to find a statement.' Mot all efforts to modernise have been successful: a new scent, called Women, created by then-creative director Raf Simons, was launched in 2018 and discontinued a few years later. In traditional perfume, Calvin Klein offers five key fragrance franchises (with some offshoot lines), a far smaller number than other fashion houses like Rabanne or Gucci. Phlur and Sol de Janeiro both offer more than double that, with new launches regularly dropping, a key to their success, said Sinks. 'Those [young] shoppers are just like, 'I want the newest thing,'' said Sinks. 'It's not even the newness of the fragrance itself, it's just a new product,' he said, Body Work To stand out on shelf, Zotes Ciancas said the brand will be using associations around body care. Though the line does not currently offer any body lotions, the brand is hoping that the fragrances will be viewed as a first layer of scent, and that customers will mix and match them. That's partly communicated through the addition of glycerin, the scents themselves and a typically Calvin Klein ad campaign featuring soaking wet bright young things with bottles tucked into their waistbands, but also through the scents themselves, which Zotes Ciancas said were being framed almost like a base layer when getting dressed, given the brand's long associations with undergarments. 'It felt natural to create the same layer, like you have with underwear, with the fragrance,' he said. Ultimately, the launch has both short and long term goals: increase the brand's visibility with Gen Alpha and Gen-Z shoppers now, and perhaps recruit them with higher-priced prodcuts in the future. 'Obivously [the mists] bring an opportunity to rediscovering Calvin Klein by entering the brand from a lower price and new perspective… and then maybe with go on to complete [the collection] with CK One, or with Eternity or with Euphoria,' said Zotes Ciancas. A Texas woman allegedly conned a reverend into certifying a marriage certificate with her ex after he broke up with her, according to police She then allegedly mailed a photo of herself holding the certificate, along with a copy of the certificate, to her ex inside a Bath & Body Works gift package Following an investigation, 36-year-old Kristin Marie Spearman of Waco was charged with third-degree felony stalking in the caseA Texas man made a startling discovery when he opened a package left on his porch. The 42-year-old man returned to his Beverly Hills home on Friday night, June 13, to find a gift from Bath & Body Works that was sent to him by his ex-girlfriend, according to a press release from the Beverly Hills Police Department obtained by PEOPLE. Inside the package was a photo of his ex, 36-year-old Kristin Marie Spearman of Waco, "holding what appears to be a marriage license showing them married and officiated by a local reverend." The package also contained a copy of the marriage certificate, filed with the McLennan County Clerk's Office. According to police, the man reported that he and Spearman had been in a relationship and obtained a marriage license "on or about" June 2. After the license was issued, the pair got into "an argument," and the man told Spearman "he did not want to be in a relationship." An investigation found that "Spearman, pursuant to the scheme of obtaining a marriage certificate, convinced the reverend to certify the victim and Kristin in the Holy Union of Matrimony without the knowledge of the victim and his required presence," police said. Spearman then filed the certificate with the county clerk.
