Bengals' Joe Burrow talks burglary, Batmobile on Netflix series
Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow isn't getting that Batmobile after all. As revealed on Netflix's 'Quarterback,' which was released this week, Burrow wound up making the decision around the time of the very public break-in of his home during last season's Week 14 slate. "I didn't end up getting the Batmobile because I just had other things I wanted to deal with at that point," Burrow said on the show. RELATED: Cincinnati Bengals' 53-man roster projection following 2025 offseason Burrow also revealed, among other things, that he considered moving after the break-in at his home. Otherwise, beyond the invasion of privacy, he remained level-headed about the ordeal. "They got all my jewelry, but they could have stolen way worse things than that," Burrow said of the break-in. "I'm not going crazy about some jewelry. It was expensive, but it was all insured." Last year, Burrow told teammates he bought one of the replica Batmobiles priced at roughly $3 million. Authorities arrested those allegedly responsible or connected to the robbery of Burrow's home early this year. RELATED: Joe Burrow feelings on Trey Hendrickson contract standoff revealed

Home burglary nixes Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow's Batmobile purchase

File Photo by Bonnie Cash/UPI | License Photo July 8 (UPI) -- Joe Burrow canceled his widely-publicized Batmobile purchase because of his December home burglary, the Cincinnati Bengals quarterback said on the new season of Netflix's Quarterback, released Tuesday. "I didn't end up getting the Batmobile because I just had other things I wanted to deal with at that point," Burrow said on the sixth episode of the second season of the show. Burrow, 28, revealed during a practice last year that he purchased one of 10 Batmobiles -- sold for nearly $3 million -- manufactured for home use. The Bengals star's revelation of the planned purchase was chronicled on HBO's Hard Knocks. The 5,511-pound replicas of the famous vehicle feature 525-horsepower engines, paddle shifters, imitation gun turrets, a smoke screen delivery system and jet engine simulation. They are made from frame-tubular aeronautical steel, Kevlar, carbon fiber and sheet metal fiberglass. JOE BURROW KIRK COUSINS JARED GOFF Quarterback Season 2 premieres July 8. Netflix (@netflix) June 23, 2025 Burrow also revealed on Quarterback that he tries to maintain a certain level of privacy in his life and considered moving after the burglary. He said now that the world knows where he lives, it "hasn't been very fun to deal with." "When you are on cloud nine, something is going to bring you right back down," Burrow said. "That just felt like the kind of year that it was." Burrow's home burglary occurred while the Bengals were in Dallas for a Monday Night Football game against the Dallas Cowboys. Thieves took more than $300,000 worth of jewelry and other items. Several men were arrested and indicted for federal crimes earlier this year for their roles in the burglary. "They got all my jewelry, but they could have stolen way worse things than that," Burrow told former Bengals defensive coordinator Lou Anarumo in an exchanged filmed on Quarterback. "I'm not going crazy about some jewelry. It was expensive, but it was all insured." Burrow signed a five-year, $275 million pact with the Bengals in 2023. "My life is very public," Burrow said. "And it comes with the job, but there are certain parts of your life that are like, yours. Your house is one of those. When that gets violated, people find out where you live and all these different things. "Not everybody's failures at their job are in front of the whole world. It's a very vulnerable position to be in. I put myself in that position because I love it. I don't like the other part of it."

Adam West Batmobile Sells For Almost Half A Million Bucks
Read the full story on Backfire News While we know some people adore the Adam West Batman television show and especially love that version of the Batmobile, hearing that one of the original cars sold for almost half a million dollars is surprising. After all, we know what kinds of vehicles you can buy with that kind of cash, so to say the classic TV vehicle is of the same value is built by Barris Kustom City back in November 1966, this and the other Batmobiles were used for filming the ABC television show as well as Batman: The Movie and displayed during various promotional events. This particular one is the third one made for the campy interpretation of The Dark Knight, something that people seemed to either love or absolutely hate. But enough people have fond memories of the show that when the Barris Batmobile crossed the auction block it snagged a high bid of $495,000. Even some people who hate the Adam West show love the Barris version of the Batmobile. The design was inspired by the futuristic-looking Lincoln Futura concept car built by Ghia back in 1955, over a decade before. In fact, George Barris had the Futura concept in his possession at the time since he bought it directly from Ford, using that to make the first car. He was able to whip together the Batmobile in only two weeks' time, which is why he got the job and not Dean Jeffries, who was originally approached by the studio. Once studio executives were onboard with the Barris design, he fashioned the other Batmobiles using 1966 Ford Galaxies, putting fiberglass bodies onto the chassis. After the TV series and movie were wrapped up, this particular Batmobile, number three, was kept in the Imperial Palace collection located in Las Vegas before being sold to Dr. Stewart Berkowitz in 2011. The man's extensive collection of TV and movie cars, plus some reproductions, were sold off at the Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale 2025 auction. If you think almost half a million is too much to pay for this Batmobile, keep in mind number one was sold at Barret-Jackson in 2013 for a whopping $4.62 million.
