Report – Inter Milan Want €30 Rated Bayern Munich Star

Fringe Bayern Munich midfielder Joao Palhinha has emerged as another midfielder target for Inter Milan. According to German outlet Bild via FCInter1908, the record-time Bundesliga champions are willing to listen to offers for the 30-year-old. Advertisement Joao Palhinha joined the Bavarians from Fulham last summer for a reported fee of €51 million. However, his first season at the Allianz Arena didn't go to plan. Indeed, he spent most of the 2024/25 campaign as a substitute, tumbling down the pecking order. Following an unenviable season, Vincent Kompany's men are open to offloading the ex-Fulham star. Meanwhile, Palhinha has caught Inter's eye amid speculation Hakan Calhanoglu could join Galatasaray. Though his time in Munich has been underwhelming, Palhinha would still be a decent coup for Inter.

Liverpool could strike SENSATIONAL €100m swap deal with Barcelona

The future of Luis Diaz remains unresolved. The Liverpool winger is under contract until 2027 - but there is little prospect of him signing a new deal. Having signed from Porto for £37.5m back in 2022, Diaz remains on the same terms he agreed to back then. It's been reported that the Colombia international earns around £55k per week - a far cry from Darwin Nunez, Cody Gakpo or even Federico Chiesa. Advertisement Sporting director Richard Hughes is unlikely to meet Diaz's demands for a new contract - and so Liverpool have got a decision to make. Either they sell Diaz this summer while his value is high or they risk missing out on substantial transfer income. His price tag will plummet by 2026 if no new deal is agreed and right now the Reds value him around the €80m mark. Bayern Munich are willing to take Diaz off Liverpool's hands - but German reports suggest the Bavarians will only go as high as €60m. Could Liverpool consider Diaz swap? Barcelona sporting director Deco meanwhile is reported to be a big fan of the 28-year-old but the Catalans' precarious financial predicament means they will need outgoings before launching such an ambitious deal. Advertisement But perhaps there could be emerging a solution that suits all parties. A report in Fichajes claims Liverpool head coach Arne Slot is a big admirer of both Fermin Lopez and Andreas Christensen and could make a combined €100m offer for the pair this summer. Fermin is a midfield all-rounder who could provide cover in several positions - and also has a decent goalscoring touch. Christensen, meanwhile, could come in as a useful centre-back option as the Reds deal with the uncertainty over Ibrahima Konate. The deal values 23-year-old Fermin at €80m with Christensen making up the other €20m in the deal. Liverpool like Fermin Lopez and Andreas Christensen Lopez is under contract until 2029 while Christensen, 29, sees his contract expire in 2026. Advertisement Those valuations are on the high side for BOTH players in truth. Euro 2024 winner Fermin was previously thought to be worth around €60m while Christensen barely played last season owing to injury. A more sensible deal could price the pair at around €60m to €70m - bringing the prospect of a cash plus players deal into view.

Manchester City Women sign midfielder Sydney Lohmann from Bayern Munich

Manchester City Women have completed the signing of German midfielder Sydney Lohmann from Bayern Munich. Lohmann, 25, has signed a three-year deal with the Women's Super League club and will join up with City following this summer's European Championship in Switzerland. Advertisement Lohmann made her Bayern debut as a 17-year-old and rose through the ranks to help the Bavarians to four Frauen-Bundesliga titles, including a domestic double in 2024-25, as well as the DFB-Supercup and DFB-Pokal. She has won 40 caps for Germany and featured in Euro 2022, the 2024 Olympic Games and this summer's tournament in Switzerland. 'I definitely want to win a title (with City), because I can see that's possible. I think things have probably been quite tough in the last few months or year and everyone is really hungry to do better,' Lohmann said. 'I can tell that by chatting to people and I want to be part of that. I want to contribute with the strengths I have.' Advertisement City's director of football Therese Sjogran added: 'We're really pleased to bring a player of Sydney's quality and stature to the club. 'She is no stranger to success and her record in Germany and on the world stage speaks for itself. She's a proven winner but also someone who's still hungry to achieve more at the top level, just like City. 'We believe Sydney can be a driving force at the club in our push for silverware next season and beyond.' This article originally appeared in The Athletic. Bayern Munich ‘willing to pay more' to beat Barcelona to key transfer target

La Liga giants Barcelona are at serious risk of missing out on a leading summer transfer market to another of the continent's top clubs. That's according to Diario Sport, who point towards Luis Díaz as the player in question. Advertisement Wide-man Díaz has of course seen his name take its place front and centre in the headlines across Europe over recent days. As much comes amid alleged interest in his services on the part of both Barcelona, and Bayern Munich. In the case of the former, the Blaugrana have pivoted back towards the Colombian, after coming up short in efforts to land Nico Williams from Athletic Club. German champions Bayern, meanwhile, already on the lookout for attacking reinforcements following Leroy Sané's departure, over the weekend lost Jamal Musiala to a long-term injury. The Bavarians are therefore also ready to ramp up their pursuit of Luis Díaz. Advertisement And if the latest word stemming from the Spanish media is anything to go by, then the board at the Allianz Arena are viewed as being in a superior position than their Camp Nou counterparts when it comes to the chances of striking a deal with Liverpool. As per a report from Sport: 'Bayern have entered the bidding strongly and would be willing to offer a higher sum than Barça.' Conor Laird – GSFN

The 2026 BMW M2 CS Just Decimated The Audi RS3's Nürburgring Record

There's been a bit of back and forth between Audi and BMW at the Nürburgring of late. In 2021, the 8Y Audi RS3 set a time around the Nordschleife of 7:40.748, earning it the title of the fastest compact car on the 'Ring. In 2023, the G87 BMW M2 stole the record with a time of 7:38.706 on the 12.944-mile route, so last year, the revised 2025 RS3 went back to the Nordschleife. It smashed the Bimmer's time by over five seconds, posting a time of 7:33.123, and the Bavarians simply couldn't let that slide. "You beat us by five seconds? Fine - we'll beat you by eight," said BMW. It took a special model to achieve, but the 2026 M2 CS has now reset the record at 7:25.5, achieving the first sub-7:30 time for a compact car. You can watch that astonishing lap at the bottom of this article. This lap time is some 13 seconds quicker than the one set by the normal M2 back in April 2023, but all that matters to BMW is that all its current CS models have dipped below 7:30, including the M4 CS, M3 CS (sedan, a time with the wagon has not been posted), and M4 CSL. For the record, the latter is the quickest BMW Group production car with a time of 7:18.137. With over 70 bends, changing camber profiles, and varying surfaces on the track, one cannot simply attribute the record to more power, but also to enhanced suspension and grippier rubber. Still, there's no doubt that a jump from 473 horsepower to 523 helped. The only drawback? All that power means the M2 CS isn't available with a manual transmission. Then again, no Audi is. The M2 CS is some 66 lbs lighter than the car upon which it is based, and it's got 129 horsepower more than the RS3. For Audi to reclaim the record would likely require a very focused and heavily upgraded car, and as a four-door hatch/sedan, the RS3 might be a tough sell with more track focus. Then again, it's not unlike Ingolstadt to celebrate the end of an era, and with the five-cylinder engine now only available in the RS3 after the TT RS departed, it's not unimaginable to think that a limited-run RS3 with no rear seats, a bigger turbo, and some specially developed rubber could be created to say goodbye to an icon. There are rumblings that the TT will return at some stage, and its smaller footprint could give the M2 CS something to worry about, but that will take a couple of years to come to fruition, if it ever does, so BMW's record will likely be safe for a long time to come.
