EXCLUSIVE Fears for another Channel Ten star after network swung the axe on fellow six-figure hosts Jonathan LaPaglia and Rodger Corser

There are fears for Beau Ryan inside Channel Ten after executives swung the axe on his Top Gear co-host Jonathan LaPaglia and shelved the series. The longtime The Amazing Race Australia host, 40, stepped away from his Triple M Sydney radio show in March to film the upcoming 'Celebrity Edition' season. Beau has hosted the show since it premiered on Ten in 2019, five years after Channel Seven cancelled the series. 'There's genuine concern for the former NRL player-turned-TV presenter who has made a steady income out of hosting the competition-based reality series that sees him flown all around the world,' a well-placed source tells Daily Mail Australia. 'Beau's got the support of his mates – JLP and Rodger Corser are both rooting for him, but no one feels safe at Network Ten right now.' From A-list scandals and red carpet mishaps to exclusive pictures and viral moments, subscribe to the DailyMail's new showbiz newsletter to stay in the loop. In a 2021 interview on The Kyle & Jackie O Show, the former league star revealed he was paid $800,000 to host Amazing Race. 'When you are getting paid for something, you look at the hours. How long are we working here,' he explained. Kyle Sandilands asked: 'Is that what you do? Do you look at that with The Amazing Race and consider how long [you're away for]?' 'Yeah,' Beau said. '[I was away] for two to three months and I got paid $800,000.' With veteran hosts Jonathan LaPaglia and Rodger Corser both axed in quick succession, Beau's friends are concerned he could be next. Rodger was quietly 'let go' from Ten after quirky reality show The Traitors was cancelled at the end of 2024. The Doctor Doctor and Underbelly star, 52, is now hosting Channel Nine's hugely successful game show, The Floor. Insiders say these cloak-and-dagger firings are more about bean counting than a routine changing of the guard for 'fresher faces'. Network Ten reportedly didn't take well to the increased salary demands floated by some agents and management of their stars earlier this year, with insiders suggesting those negotiations backfired. While Robert Irwin's co-hosting gig on I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here! has been a success, his price tag will reportedly triple by the time contracts are back up for negotiation— making decision-makers think twice. 'Management is trimming budgets back by letting go of high-priced talent,' one source told Daily Mail Australia. 'This is a network being told to tighten the purse strings. They're not just replacing people for the sake of it. They're being strategic. It's about value, longevity and connecting with younger viewers.' But Beau was in high spirits when he spoke to Daily Mail Australia about the future of The Amazing Race this week. 'Celebrity Edition is an incredible series filmed in some of the most epic locations,' he said. 'We have a great line-up of teams. 'Also, a location that is a first for The Amazing Race franchise history. It's next level.' The father-of-two added: 'It's always tough to leave my family for filming.' 'It was tough to leave the guys at Triple M for the five weeks. I love the show, the listeners, and the team. 'Hopefully, the next season of Amazing Race films in the [radio] survey break so I don't miss much time on-air.' 'That's something the guys at Triple M and Paramount help me juggle. They know Amazing Race Australia is a show that's been a part of my life and schedule for the last six years.' However, conversations around The Amazing Race's future have reportedly become more urgent. While Beau remains a popular on-screen presence, the show's ratings haven't matched its production spend in recent years. As one veteran producer said: 'It's not about who's best anymore. It's about who's best for budget and branding.' Meanwhile, Top Gear is still up in the air with Ten's streaming partner Paramount+. 'There were talks [season two filming] could be the end of this year,' Beau revealed. 'But it is such a big show with plenty of planning so now it looks like it will be 2026 or 2027. We will have to wait and see.' Daily Mail Australia has reached out to Channel Ten for comment. The latest news inside Ten comes after Jonathan LaPaglia confirmed he lost his hosting gig on Australian Survivor last month. The 55-year-old, who has fronted the hit show since 2016, will make his final appearance on the upcoming season, Australia V The World, set to air later this year. In a lengthy Instagram post, Jonathan said he was shocked by Channel Ten's decision to let him go. 'I have no doubts Jonathan will be in another hosting gig whenever he is ready,' Beau told Daily Mail Australia. 'He is an incredible talent and you can see by the overwhelming support how loved he is.' The former league star confirmed he called JLP as soon as he heard the news. 'I did speak to him as he is a great man and close friend. He knows I am always here for him, as he is for me.' 'We are thrilled to have Beau Ryan as Network 10 talent,' a spokesperson for Network 10 told Daily Mail Australia. 'As per every year, announcements regarding our future content slate will be revealed at our Upfront, so stay tuned to hear more about the return of our... epic reality formats for 2026.'

Beau Ryan makes surprise sex confession as he asks Australia's biggest porn star for bedroom advice: 'Is it something that you enjoy?'

Beau Ryan received some sex advice from an Aussie porn star on his radio show on Tuesday. The former rugby star, 40, who is married to Kara Orrel, was joined by adult actress Angela White on Triple M Breakfast with Beau, Cat and Woodsy, where they discussed what goes on in the bedroom. Beau raised eyebrows after asking Angela for advice when it comes to a certain sexual act. 'Foreplay... Can foreplay go on too long?' he asked. 'Because I know someone - I won't say who it is out of the three of us - who's a real big foreplay person. Maybe me... From A-list scandals and red carpet mishaps to exclusive pictures and viral moments, subscribe to the DailyMail's new showbiz newsletter to stay in the loop. 'How long should you spend on foreplay? Is it something that you enjoy? Do you think it's worth it?' Angela, who is Adult Video News' first three-time female performer of the year winner, responded simply, saying: 'I love foreplay.' 'What about just foreplay and no sex sometimes?' he asked. 'Oh I love that... A little edging. Yeah, I absolutely love that,' she confessed. Angela then revealed a little-known detail about what goes on behind the scenes of a porn shoot. 'We kind of do a bit of foreplay before we even start a scene,' she explained. 'I'll be in the makeup chair and the male talent will turn up and we'll flirt a little bit. 'A little hugs, a couple kisses, you know? There's a little build up. So sometimes there's more foreplay that's actually happening than you actually see in the porn scene.' This isn't the first time Beau has drifted into X-rated territory while on-air. The TV and radio star revealed on his Triple M Breakfast show that he got a little more than he bargained for when he sampled a pill given to him by a friend In June, he revealed to co-hosts his ordeal began after receiving a unique gift at his 40th birthday bash: a Viagra-like pill. 'I said to my wife Kara, I've got one of these Cialis,' he said. 'We started googling it and looking into it and I said, "I should take it".' 'So, I had it. I was like, "Let's just ride this out and see what happens".' Beau went on to reveal that after popping the pill, he waited on his bed in anticipation for the pill to work its magic - but was left disappointed when nothing happened. However, the ordeal didn't end there, with Beau then saying it all came to a head when he woke the following morning. 'I wake up around 6am to go to the bathroom and get ready for Saturday. I've got my son's footy and soccer, my daughter's soccer, and I've got a pitched tent like you wouldn't believe,' Beau candidly admitted. 'I can't even describe it. It couldn't be more pitched,' he added. A shocked Cat asked Beau if he was able to 'take care of it and then it stops?'. The footy star admitted that nothing he could do would lessen the effects of the pill. To make matters worse, Beau went on to explain that the pill continued to work its magic for an entire day of sporting activities with children Remi and Jesse. 'Not only was I pitching a tent at soccer, we had photos for the footy afterwards at 10am and I'm pitching a tent still,' he continued. 'Then, my son plays footy just before midday, the tent is still up. Then my daughter's soccer game is in the afternoon - the tent is still well and truly up.'

More heartache for Jonathan LaPagila as he loses ANOTHER job after shock Survivor sacking

Less than a week after his shock exit from Australian Survivor, popular host Jonathan LaPaglia has been dealt another major blow. Top Gear Australia is thought to have been quietly dropped from Paramount+'s production slate, leaving the popular host without a local series to host. Daily Mail Australia can exclusively reveal that the big-budget reboot will not return in 2025 or 2026 for its slated second season. The 2024 series, starring LaPagila, marked the third attempt to relaunch the iconic British motoring format locally, after two false starts by SBS and Nine. It has now been shelved indefinitely by Network 10. LaPagila steered the latest iteration of the wildly successful Top Gear franchise, alongside Amazing Race Australia host Beau Ryan, and YouTube series Car Mods co-host Blair 'Moog' Joscelyne, who boasts 3.8 million followers. The eight-part series, co-produced by BBC Studios Australia, premiered in May 2024 on Paramount+ and is one of the streamer's most-watched local originals. 'It hasn't been officially axed,' a source close to the production tells Daily Mail, 'but it's absolutely not coming back — at least not with this line-up.' It follows a turbulent few weeks for LaPaglia, who was also dropped as host of Australian Survivor, a role he held since the show's 2016 reboot. News of his axing by email sparked fierce backlash online, with many fans declaring Survivor 'unwatchable' without him. According to industry insiders, Network Ten and streaming partner Paramount+ are undertaking a broad overhaul of their reality TV offerings, with a major shift towards younger, more diverse presenters. 'There's been a sweep of changes behind the scenes,' an executive source tells Daily Mail. 'Several long-standing hosts, not just JLP, have been quietly told they're not part of the future.' While official announcements are expected at the network's Upfronts event in September, sources say decisions have already been made regarding several key on-air personalities. 'The direction now is clear: younger talent, more energy, and fresh faces. It's not personal, it's branding,' the source added. In dozens of interviews last year, LaPagila and his co-hosts waxed lyrical about their 'chemistry' and 'mateship' being the key to revitalising Top Gear. However, the trio of self-confessed fanboys, and even Network 10/Paramount+ Australia executive producer Ciaran Flannery, freely admitted their nerves about picking up the seemingly poisoned TV chalice. 'The original version was so good, it was so well done,' LaPagila told Mumbrella. 'It's not like we're taking a crappy version and aiming to make a better version, we're starting with something that was already really good. 'So if I'm perfectly honest, I did feel the pressure and the weight of that, because I know those comparisons are going to be inevitable. So that did give me pause initially – as it does hinge on the relationship between the three of us.' The most recent update on season two was posted eight months ago when the series went free-to-air on Channel 10, sparking excited chatter from the hosts Despite big expectations, Top Gear Australia's 2024 revival failed to rev up a lasting impression. While critics praised the high production value, fans online described the series as 'underwhelming' and 'lacking spark'. 'A new series won't air in 2025,' one Ten insider tells Daily Mail, 'but we continue to work with BBC Studios on what a new series might look like.' Speaking to Mediaweek last year, network EP Flannery said that Paramount+ would never make Top Gear again if it wasn't able to match the production value of the show's best international versions. 'It's got to be up there, and the reality is the scale that Paramount+ gives us allows us to go global,' he said. 'Paramount+ delivered a production value that arguably a local version might not quite have matched.' The show also struggled to generate the buzz of its original 2008 version or the more chaotic 2011 reboot. Ratings were reportedly modest and social media engagement flatlined after the season premiere. 'It looked great, but felt like it was trying too hard to replicate the UK version,' one fan surmised on Reddit. 'There was no reason to bring it back.' The most recent update on Top Gear's future came eight months ago, in a joint Instagram post made by Beau Ryan and LaPagila to announce season one would go free-to-air on Ten. 'Myself, Jonathan, and Blair embarked on the adventure of a lifetime. Supercars, super boats, muscle cars, EVs, hatchbacks, trucks, tanks, , tractors, caravans, you name it, we sent it,' Beau wrote. 'There were tears, fires, nudity, laughter and plenty of hugs. Obviously in that order. After being such a huge success on Paramount+ the guys at 10 have made the choice to air it on Channel 10 and we couldn't be more excited.' Then crickets. While neither Network Ten nor Paramount+ have confirmed LaPaglia's future with the network, insiders say the writing is on the wall. 'He hasn't done anything wrong,' said one inside source. 'But he's part of an era that Ten is trying to move past.'

‘Pitched a tent': Beau Ryan's wild on-air sex confession

CONTENT WARNING Beau Ryan has claimed that he was 'pitching a tent' all day after taking Viagra for the first time, not realising how strongly it would affect him. Ryan made the shocking confession during Wednesday's episode of Triple M Breakfast show with Beau, Cat & Woodsy. The TV star, who's become one of Australia's most in-demand media personalities since retiring from the NRL in 2014, said that he took a pill he'd been given by a friend only to end up regretting it massively. 'On my 40th birthday a couple of weeks ago, my mates gave us presents, but one of my close mates, as a joke, he popped a Cialis in my pocket, which is like Viagra for those that don't know,' said the former sports star. 'I said to my wife Kara, 'I've got one of these Cialis',' he said. 'We started googling it and looking into it and I said, 'I should take it'.' 'So, I had it. I was like, 'Let's just ride this out and see what happens'.' 'The first hour I was laying there I was really excited, but I was so tired from the week that I was still trying to get myself up and excited for it.' However, tiredness got the best of him and he ended up falling asleep before the action could happen. Sadly for Ryan, he didn't plan on the medication still haven't an effect on him the morning after and that's when things started to go horribly wrong for the radio host. 'I wake up around 6am to go to the bathroom and get ready for Saturday. I've got my son's footy and soccer, my daughter's soccer, and I've got a pitched tent like you wouldn't believe,' he confessed. 'I can't even describe it. It couldn't be more pitched.' He went on to reveal that he was awkwardly 'pitching a tent' throughout the rest of the day, even when he had to attend his children's football games. 'Not only was I pitching a tent at soccer, we had photos for the footy afterwards at 10am and I'm pitching a tent still,' he continued. 'Then, my son plays footy just before midday, the tent is still up. Then my daughter's soccer game is in the afternoon - the tent is still well and truly up.' Sadly for Ryan, the effects of the medication ended up fading away before he could find the time for some alone time with his wife. 'Finally, I come in and have a shower and literally on cue as Kara walks in the door the tent comes down,' he laughed. 'It was the first window in my week where Kara said, 'the kids are busy out there let's lock the door'.' Meanwhile, Ryan revealed earlier this year that he rejected a 'ridiculous' amount of money to appear on a reality TV show.

Beau Ryan makes SHOCK Viagra confession live on air: 'I can't even describe it'

Beau Ryan has made a shock confession about a less-than-stellar experience with erectile dysfunction medication. The TV and radio star, 40, revealed on his Triple M Breakfast show Beau, Cat & Woodsy on Wednesday, that he got a little more than he bargained for when sampling a pill gifted by a friend. He revealed to co-hosts Aaron Woods and Cat Lynch his ordeal began after receiving the unique gift at his recent 40th birthday bash. 'On my 40th birthday a couple of weeks ago, my mates gave us presents, but one of my close mates, as a joke, he popped a Cialis in my pocket, which is like Viagra for those that don't know,' the former rugby league star admitted. He went on to explain he had completely forgotten about the little pill until discovering it in his jacket after arriving home last Friday night. From A-list scandals and red carpet mishaps to exclusive pictures and viral moments, subscribe to the DailyMail's new showbiz newsletter to stay in the loop. He told his wife Kara about the unexpected gift, and the intrigued couple began to research its properties. 'I said to my wife Kara, "I've got one of these Cialis",' he said. 'We started googling it and looking into it and I said, "I should take it".' 'So, I had it. I was like, "Let's just ride this out and see what happens".' Beau went on to reveal that after popping the pill, he waited on his bed in anticipation for the pill to work its magic - but was left disappointed. 'The first hour I was laying there I was really excited, but I was so tired from the week that I was still trying to get myself up and excited for it,' he said, before admitting he promptly put a movie on and fell asleep. The ordeal didn't end there, with Beau then revealing it all came to a head when he woke the following morning. Beau went on to reveal that after popping the pill, he waited on his bed in anticipation for the pill to work its magic - but was left disappointed A shocked Cat asked Beau if he was able to 'take care of it and then it stops?'. The footy star admitted that nothing he could do would allay the effects of the pill. To make matters worse, Beau went on to explain that the pill continued to work its magic for an entire day of sporting activities with children Remi, 11, and Jesse, seven. 'Not only was I pitching a tent at soccer, we had photos for the footy afterwards at 10am and I'm pitching a tent still,' he continued. 'Then, my son plays footy just before midday, the tent is still up. Then my daughter's soccer game is in the afternoon - the tent is still well and truly up.' Beau said he was still feeling the side effects from the pill when he finally arrived home that afternoon, but was unable to take advantage. 'Finally, I come in and have a shower and literally on cue as Kara walks in the door the tent comes down,' he said. 'It was the first window in my week where Kara said, "the kids are busy out there let's lock the door".' Beau recently revealed the reason behind his shock exit from I'm A me Out Of Here! Australia in 2022. Speaking on air in January, Beau said his stint on the Channel Ten show was filmed during Covid lockdowns and left him feeling exhausted. 'Watching the new season of IAC last night, brought back a lot of memories. It was a Covid series and about a month before I agreed to go on the jungle, we were meant to go on The Amazing Race for a season so I'd done quarantine,' Beau began. 'Then it was deemed too dangerous to continue the series. I was 12 days in to quarantine, came out and agreed to do the jungle... two more weeks of quarantine!' Beau said the consecutive stints in isolation took a toll on both his mental and physical wellbeing and he was not in a good place when he began his stint on IAC. 'I was so mentally cooked and physically drained. I just had to get home. I was concerned about my wife who was home-schooling the kids,' he continued. 'My wife was alone with the kids, no access to family. I'm not making any excuses, I carried on like a pork chop.' The presenter added that while he regretted leaving the show under such circumstances he had to do what was right for his family. In 2022, in what was I'm a Celebrity's eighth season, Beau walked out on the 14th day in the jungle - which cost him $200,000.
