Whether you are drawn to the ease of lightweight products or embracing a more relaxed approach to self-care, minimalism is in. I was recently introduced to a new local skincare line called Femmeuine, founded by actress Alison Araya. Each of her products are formulated with beautiful botanical ingredients to nourish the skin, and made in limited quantities and with purpose. It's for women who feel the pull to slow down, simplify their beauty routine and reconnect to a holistic beauty practice, which is right up my alley. On clean skin, I applied the Femmeuine Beauty Elixir onto my skin and massaged it in. It's a lightweight yet highly concentrated facial oil that leaves skin feeling extremely soft, hydrated and nourished. It also has a very subtle and natural scent. Photo by Nadia Albano I wanted to test out her Femmeuine Butterfly Gua Sha stone — a little curved-shaped facial massage tool that offers many beauty benefits. It is linked to promoted lymphatic drainage, lifts and sculpts the facial muscles, stimulates circulation and helps produce collagen. I like to use a combination of short and long upward and outward strokes across the areas of the face including the neck to chin, chin and jaw, cheek bones to temple, forehead and brow bone. This is a new summer skincare ritual that I will be implementing two to three times per week. My skin looks and feels incredible already. Vancouver Canucks Celebrity Local News News News

The Exact Beauty Products Dua Lipa Uses to Get Her Glow
While there are many celebrities whose make-up or haircare routine we'd like to emulate, there's only a handful of A-list women whose glowing, glassy skin regime we can truly covet. British Vogue's July cover star, Dua Lipa, is but one example. Not just the owner of some of the best eyebrows of the moment, the 'Levitating' singer has the kind of clear, luminous skin that most of us can only dream of. The Vogue editors have long obsessed over the wellness practices she swears by – specifically, her morning routine, which includes her must-try daily supplements – and we continued our due diligence to discover her other go-tos. It comes as no surprise that it features an extensive list of high-performance formulas, but we're also happy to reveal that, just like us, Dua relies on some tried-and-tested favourites like Caudalie's Beauty Elixir to keep her skin in tip-top condition. With a complexion like hers, it's little wonder the singer's skincare line-up includes products from pioneering German skincare brand, Augustinus Bader. Alongside The Rich Cream and The Rich Eye Cream, both of which are infused with the brand's signature TFC8 complex to support skin renewal, Lipa is also loyal to Bader's Eye Patches. Perfect for on-the-go brightening and tightening, the gel patches are generously sized and instantly cooling, making them perfect for stuffy (private) plane air. Now, for the lesser-known heroes. To remove make-up and rid her peerless skin of any pollution, Lipa is apparently a fan of Pai's Light Work Rosehip Cleansing Oil. The 90 per cent organic formula is lightweight in feel but robust at what it does, effectively removing make-up and SPF while leaving the skin soft and supple. And like every good beauty obsessive, wearing sunscreen is non-negotiable for Dua. Her product of choice? EltaMD's UV Clear Broad-Spectrum SPF 46 which, as well as containing broad spectrum UV filters, is also enriched with high-dose niacinamide to reduce discolouration and tackle blemishes. Sarah Chapman 3D Moisture Infusion Mask $80 DERMSTORE Pai Light Work Rosehip Cleansing Oil $49 AMAZON The aforementioned Caudalie mist is essential for keeping her complexion hydrated and soothed throughout the day, and Lipa's night cream of choice is none other than Medik8's excellent Advanced Restore Night Cream. Powered with a potent antioxidant complex to repair oxidative stress, and a multi-ceramide complex to restore and strengthen the skin barrier, it's just the kind of thing to cosset and comfort skin that's been under heavy layers of make-up. If your skin is really feeling the dehydrating effects of sun exposure or simply the daily grind, make like Dua and pop on a Sarah Chapman Skinesis 3D Moisture Infusion Mask before your night cream. Each mask is heavily saturated in low-molecular hyaluronic acid, rose water and the brand's exclusive Pentavin hydration complex. And finally, to keep her famous lips as pillowy-soft as possible, she keeps handy a collection of conditioning concoctions that deliver on both hydration and glossy, gorgeous shine. Up first: the jelly-textured Kissu Lip Mask from Tatcha, a formula beloved by beauty editors for its smoothing soothing abilities. If your budget won't stretch, you'll be pleased to hear that Lipa is also a fan of Glossier's legendary Balm Dotcom, which marries scent and shine with a more affordable price tag. The last piece of the lip puzzle is, of course, YSL Beauty's Candy Glaze Lip Gloss Stick – a lipstick that, unsurprisingly, brand ambassador Lipa is loyal to. Its formula strikes just the right balance between the hydration of a balm and the glam of a gloss. In other words, perfect for a cover-ready pout. Ginny and Georgia's Brianne loves this £18 face mist that's also a hangover cure
Brianne Howey refreshes her skin while filming for Netflix's Ginny and Georgia with an £18 face mist Ginny and Georgia series three hit Netflix with a bang last week, and if you've already binge-watched all ten episodes, you're not alone. News that series four has been confirmed broke over the weekend, so we're looking to get our G+G fix in other ways until it's back on our screens. We've been doing a bit of research into Georgia star Brianne Howey's skincare routine, after spending all of series three gawking in awe at her flawless skin. And while she doesn't post too much herself on Instagram outside of sharing glamorous snaps from premieres, we did come across her whole skincare regime courtesy of Glamour US. Speaking about filming for Ginny and Georgia, Brianne said: 'There are lots of emotional scenes, so you're taking makeup off, then reapplying. That's where I feel like I have to take the most care of my skin.' She then goes on to list a host of rather pricey products, including two buys from La Mer, she turns to while filming. However, in amongst the high-end products is an affordable gem that you can shop over here: Caudalie's Beauty Elixir, £18 on LookFantasti c. "I didn't discover Caudalie until I was in Paris this summer," she explained. "Obsessed. I use it too much. I go through a bottle every two weeks. She smells so good. My girlfriend also swears by it for hangovers." Tick and tick. Made with 100% natural-origin ingredients, this multitasking mist is basically your skin's new BFF, prepping it before make-up, setting everything in place and giving your complexion a little pick-me-up whenever it needs it – ideal for Brianne to mist in-between scenes. The formula is as soothing as it sounds: a refreshing burst of moisture that instantly smooths, soothes and plumps, leaving you with a soft, dewy luminosity. It's no wonder this little green bottle is beloved by A-list make-up artists and celebrities alike, including Margot Robbie and Victoria Beckham. It packs a glow-boosting trio of green grape, orange blossom and a medley of nourishing plant oils, all working together to deliver antioxidant goodness and a rosy, radiant finish. And while it's handy if you're on film, it's equally as useful if you're mid-commute, on a plane, post-workout or heading to dinner from your desk. There isn't a mention on Caudalie's product page of it being a little-known hangover cure, but we can see where Brianne is coming from. The mist gives a temporary pore-tightening and toning effect– kind of like a cold compress with attitude. The minty, herbal scent and fine mist are also very invigorating. It's like splashing your face with a fancy herbal iced tea. Since the smell of mint is also known to relieve nausea, it's very likely the scent of the mist also helps with that. While the Caudalie Elixir is well worth the £18 for 30ml, if you're looking for a lower cost alternative to try out before you commit, you can get a bottle of Pixie's Glow Mist for £7.99 on TK Maxx at the moment – perfect for the upcoming muggy weather.
