Bella Astillah is proud of son Ayden's achievement in first triathlon
9 Jul - Bella Astillah is one proud mummy as she recently posted a heartfelt message to her first born, Ayden on his eighth birthday. Sharing a video of Ayden finishing his first ever triathlon in Desaru recently, the singer-actress posted, "Happy 8th Birthday to my firstborn, Ayden Adrean. I would never forget the moment I first held you in my arms, it was the beginning of everything." "You're the one who taught mummy what real love means. Ayden, you're not just [a big brother] to Ara, you're mummy's strength, my heart, my forever blessing. Thank you for always being thoughtful, kind, and so full of love. Watching you grow is the greatest gift. I love you so much, more than you can understand. Always and forever, my little champ." She also expressed how happy she is of him for finishing his triathlon, adding, "Proud is an understatement." On the other hand, Muar MP Syed Saddiq, who seems to be Ayden's biggest idol when it comes to sports, took to Instagram Story to share a photo of Ayden being interviewed, revealing that it was taken by Bella's youngest, Ara. "The real champ of the day, Ayden. 8 years old joining his first triathlon race after two months of training. Answering questions with much style and confidence," he added. Ayden, who previously joined Syed Saddiq at the Langkawi Swim Festival, participated with the politician yet again at the 113 International Triathlon Desaru Malaysia 2025 that was held on 6 July. (Photo by Halim Wahid) SHAH ALAM - Muar MP Syed Saddiq Syed Abdul Rahman has hinted at plans to settle down, acknowledging that he does not intend to remain single forever. Addressing the matter candidly, the Malaysian United Democratic Allianc (Muda) co-founder said he was open about many aspects of his life especially politics, but prefers to keep his personal matters private until the time was right. 'I will try and answer as directly as I can. I'd be lying if I said I want to be single forever. There is intention headed that way (towards marriage),' he said during Sinar Harian's live Interviu programme titled " Apa rencana Syed Saddiq selepas ini? ". However, he stressed that marriage was not a decision made in isolation, as it involves not only a partner but also families, all of whom deserve respect and privacy. 'In the process of building a marriage, there will be a partner and families that need to be respected and have privacy. 'In this process, let my personal life remain personal until it is officially ready to be announced to all,' he added. Syed Saddiq and Bella Astillah in court on June 26 in Putrajaya. (Sinar Video) While Syed Saddiq has frequently engaged with the public on political and national issues, he drew a clear line between public discourse and private affairs, noting that when others were involved, discretion becomes necessary. 'I'm as open as I can be on politics, but when it involves other people, families – it is better to let the process remain private,' he said. Although Syed Saddiq has never publicly confirmed a relationship, he has been widely linked to actress and singer Bella Astillah, whose full name is Dayang Ara Nabellah Awang Astillah. The two were first seen together during a Hari Raya clothing campaign, which sparked public curiosity about their bond. Since then, Bella has been spotted attending several of Syed Saddiq's court proceedings and accompanying him at public events. Numerous social media videos and photos of them together have only fuelled speculation, with fans affectionately dubbing the pair 'BASS' - a nickname formed from the initials of their names. The hashtag has gained popularity, with many users sharing edited clips and content celebrating their appearances together. The former youth and sports minister was previously convicted on charges of criminal breach of trust (CBT), misappropriation of assets and money laundering related to his tenure as Bersatu Armada Youth Chief in July 2021. On Nov 9, 2023, Syed Saddiq was found guilty of all the corruption charges by the High Court, sentencing him to seven years' imprisonment, a RM10 million fine and two strokes of the cane. However, Syed Saddiq continued fighting to clear his name and last week, the Court of Appeal unanimously acquitted him of all charges, citing errors in the trial judge's evaluation of the defense evidence. This acquittal overturned his previous convictions and he no longer faces the imposed sentences. More Like This

Actress and singer Bella Astillah speaks to the press following Muar MP Syed Saddiq Syed Abdul Rahman's acquittal of four corruption and money laundering charges at the Palace of Justice, Putrajaya today. — Picture by Sayuti Zainudin Syed Saddiq, 32, was acquitted today by a unanimous three-member Court of Appeal panel led by Justice Datuk Ahmad Zaidi Ibrahim, with Justices Datuk Azman Abdullah and Datuk Noorin Badaruddin concurring. He had been convicted in November 2023 on four charges — abetting criminal breach of trust involving RM1 million, misappropriating RM120,000 in party funds, and two counts of money laundering involving RM50,000 each allegedly transferred from his personal account. The offences were said to have occurred between 2018 and 2020. The High Court had sentenced him to seven years in jail, two strokes of the cane, and a RM10 million fine. However, the Court of Appeal today ruled that the trial judge had seriously erred by failing to properly evaluate the defence's evidence and by not establishing whether the withdrawals were carried out dishonestly or linked to unlawful activities. As a result, the panel set aside both the conviction and sentence, clearing Syed Saddiq of all charges.
