'Love Island USA's Belle-A Reacts to Cierra's Removal From Villa
Belle-A Walker might not be in the Love Island USA Villa anymore, but that's not stopping her from dumping a fellow Islander. Following the controversy surrounding Cierra Ortega's alleged past use of a racist slur on Instagram and her subsequent elimination from the reality show, Belle-A reacted to Cierra's Love Island USA exit by declaring their friendship to be over. 'As a proud Asian American woman, I'm deeply appreciative of the Love Island USA producers for taking a stand and making it clear that racism of any kind is not tolerated,' Belle-A wrote in a statement posted to her Instagram Story after Cierra left the Villa. 'When I first saw what my fellow Islander said on their social media pages, I was incredibly heartbroken.' Cierra left the show on July 6 after old social media posts surfaced of her seemingly using an Asian slur. (She has yet to confirm the authenticity of the Instagram Story screenshots in question.) She appears to have used the slur multiple times, most recently in January of 2024, prompting fans to call for her to be removed from the Villa. Belle-A added that she initially wanted to wait until Cierra had left the Villa and was given a chance 'to address the situation, genuinely apologize, and commit to learning from the experience' before commenting publicly or making any decisions about the future of their friendship. However, additional screenshots that seemingly showed Cierra using the same slur multiple times made that impossible. 'As screenshots continued to surface, it became clear that I could no longer support this person, and made the decision to unfollow them a couple of days ago,' Belle-A wrote. She continued, noting that she felt compelled to speak out in part because 'Asian hate is oftentimes overlooked and dismissed,' and she's witnessed firsthand how it can affect people. She specifically credited her mother, who immigrated to the US. 'Knowing the hardships she and so many others have faced, I could not be silent any longer,' she wrote. Belle-A is the only contestant to release such a strong statement condemning Cierra's actions, but she isn't the only one who has spoken out. When asked about Cierra's exit during a TikTok live, Jeremiah Brown said he didn't 'condone no type of racial slurs.' Cierra has yet to address the situation publicly.

From Cierra Ortega's ouster to Belle-A & Nic confrontation, 5 controversial moments from Love Island USA Season 7
Season 7 of Love Island USA has been a continual source of drama and has become one of the most talked-about seasons in the show's history, with headline-making moments that sparked outrage, divided the audience and triggered major online debates. The latest dramatic moment to explode was the unceremonious exit of Cierra Ortega, a 25-year-old content creator, over allegations of racism. A viral screenshot of one of her earlier posts about Botox showed that she used an offensive racial slur targeting Asians. After the resurfacing of the screenshot, Ortega was evicted from the Fiji villa. But, it wasn't the only controversy the Arizona contestant was embroiled in. According to a Teen Magazine report, Cierra Ortega's arrival as a bombshell contestant disrupted the villa in no time. Ortega was embroiled in a love triangle fallout after contestant Nic, who was coupled up with Belle-A, decided to pair up with Cierra. Belle-A's fiery confrontation with Nic as she exited the villa only added fuel to an already tense atmosphere. Cierra found herself in choppy waters with another contestant, Hannah, after she wore the latter's dress during the elimination ceremony. Many viewers reportedly felt Cierra's move was unnecessarily provocative and disrespectful. If a love triangle and clothing dispute weren't enough, Cierra found herself hitting the headlines once again after she kissed fellow contestant Chelley Bissainthe during a challenge in Episode 8, as per Teen Magazine. Viewers engaged in discussions online, and some were even happy - particularly queer fans. One of the most explosive moments, which occurred early in the season, was when Yulissa Escobar was abruptly removed from the villa. The decision came after old podcast clips surfaced, in which she was heard using the n-word. Yulissa later issued a public apology, but viewers weren't satisfied with her explanation. Would you ever believe a kiss could spark political backlash? Well, the kiss between Jewish-Israeli influencer Elan Bibas and Palestinian contestant Huda Mustafa did! Although it seemed romantic on the surface, it quickly became a flashpoint for political and cultural discourse online. A: Yulissa was removed after videos surfaced of her using racial slurs in a podcast. The show took swift action, though it did not air the full context. A: Their kiss drew international attention due to their Israeli and Palestinian backgrounds, sparking widespread political debate online. A: Cierra wore Hannah's dress while eliminating her from the island, which many fans saw as disrespectful and symbolic of rivalry. A: Nic chose to recouple with Cierra instead of Belle-A during the first recoupling, leading to Belle-A's dramatic exit.

Belle-A Walker speaks out after Cierra Ortega's exit from 'Love Island USA': "I could not be silent"
Former Love Island USA Season 7 islander Belle-A Walker has broken her silence following Cierra Ortega's exit from the villa. Posting on her Instagram story, Belle-A reflected on her position as a proud Asian American woman and voiced support for the producers' decision, stating, "I'm deeply appreciative of the Love Island USA producers for taking a stand and making it clear that racism of any kind is not tolerated." Photo: Instagram Cierra and Belle-A shared an indirect connection through Nic Vansteenberghe, who chose Cierra over Belle-A early in the season. While Belle-A was the first to be eliminated, she later revealed that Nic had given her mixed signals and was not transparent about his intentions. Despite feeling misled, Belle-A had expressed no ill will toward Cierra during the show's airing. However, after Cierra's past social media activity involving racial slurs towards Asian communities resurfaced, Belle-A said she was 'incredibly heartbroken' and hoped for a genuine apology. As more screenshots emerged, she added, 'it became clear that I could no longer support this person,' confirming she had unfollowed Cierra days prior. But I also don't condone hate either.' Belle-A's response underscored her commitment to using her voice for positive change.

Belle-A Spills the 'Love Island: USA' Spark She Wishes She Didn't Ignore
Belle-A Spills the 'Love Island: USA' Spark She Wishes She Didn't Ignore originally appeared on Parade. Fans were shocked when the beautiful Belle-A Walker was dumped from the Love Island: USA villa — becoming the first islander to be eliminated from season 7 of the show — but now, the Oregon-turned-Hawaii resident has the freedom to spill some major tea. For those who need a refresher, the 22-year-old barista and model was a part of the OG cast of Love Island: USA season 7. Belle-A made waves on social media due to her extremely high morals, refusing to lock lips with any men until later on in the competition, but unfortunately, this might have hindered her connections, leading to her untimely exit. Coupling up with Nic Vansteenberghe on day one, Belle-A found herself in a love triangle by day two, when Cierra Ortega entered the villa with her sights set on the same man. At the re-coupling ceremony on day six — where the men had the power — Nic was left with an extremely difficult decision, ultimately deciding to couple up with Cierra over Belle-A. Because of this, Belle-A was dumped from the Love Island: USA villa, and she is left with some serious regrets. Her biggest regret, though (believe it or not) was not exploring a connection with Taylor Williams, spilling the tea in a recent interview with Access Hollywood. In a TikTok video shared by the outlet, Belle-A was asked her biggest regret from her short-lived stint on Love Island: USA, to which she swiftly replied, "not allowing myself to explore things with Taylor." She then proceeded to gush about the cowboy cutie, telling Access Hollywood, "Taylor honestly lights up rooms. He brings such good energy, and a lot of the people don't see that in the cut, but he's always there picking everybody else up. He's always doing his little dancey-dance. I love the energy that he brings." She then explained why a relationship with Taylor never came to fruition, explaining that not only was she "tunnel-visioned on Nic" during her Love Island: USA journey, but she's also "such a girl's girl" who didn't want to hurt Olandria Carthen's — Taylor's current couple's — feelings. With rumors that Belle-A might be returning to Love Island: USA season 7 as a part of the Casa Amor twist — fingers crossed — would she explore her spark with Taylor the second time around? "I was finally feeling comfortable finally letting my guard down, finally finding my voice, and then I was silenced, you know? I think that if I do get the opportunity to go back, I know what it's like. I know how I will approach it, and I don't want to let anybody else shape my experience," she spilled about the situation. Nevertheless, Belle-A concluded, "I don't want anybody else to cloud my judgment or cloud my actions because I would go in full force," adding that she "might" go after Taylor if given another chance. While we anxiously await Belle-A's (alleged) return to the villa, tune into brand new episodes of Love Island: USA season 7 every day — except Wednesday — via Peacock for all the juicy drama.
