Gender reveal party sparks brush fire in Barry County
ASSYRIA TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — A brush fire that started in a rural area of Barry County was sparked by a gender reveal, dispatch said.
On Sunday afternoon, crews were called to the area of Cassidy Road and Keyes Road in Assyria Township for the fire. Firefighters were able to put it out 'without incident,' according to Bellvue Community Fire Department Chief Jacob Jackson.
He confirmed the fire was caused by Tannerite explosives that were used as part of a gender reveal party.
'It's a girl!' Jackson told News 8.
