Man completes epic 1200 mile journey from Manchester to Ibiza in flip flops
A man from Macclesfield has completed a nearly 1,200 mile walk from Manchester to Ibiza, with just a pair of flip flops for footwear.
Henry Moores, 22, completed the astonishing feat on June 29, raising over £55,000 for children's cancer charity Bemorefab.
The 22-year-old has previously set off on many long distance adventures, including walking to France, as well as making the very same trip to Ibiza.

But this time Henry from Macclesfield added in an extra element of difficulty by switching out his footwear.
You might think that a good pair of stout walking boots would be essential when attempting a 1,200 walk, but Henry did it in just flip flops.
He previously spoke to the Manchester Evening News about his feat, saying: "I had such a good time last year and wanted to do it again, but to keep everyone entertained I thought there had to be a different catalyst, and that was footwear.
"Making it harder gets more attention and that gets more donations for a great charity."
The feat was clearly effective as Henry raised some £55,890 for Bemorefab at the time of writing.
Taking to Instagram to celebrate his achievement, he wrote: "Thank you for everyone who has donated, flown to Ibiza and helped me along the way with discounts, free food and water and helping me to organise bits I couldn't do myself, thanks so much again and you'll see me soon."
Henry first began undertaking his challenges back in 2023 after an apprenticeship "went a bit awry".
He said: "I said to my mum, 'I'm going to Paris'. I've always wanted to do a big walk and have always joked about it.
"I came back from that and raised around £20,000 for local charities and by then I'd really got the bug for it. I thought, what next?"
Since then Henry has documented his journeys on his Instagram account, racking up some 418,000 followers for his adventures.
His latest adventure began on April 5, and after a gruelling journey lasting nearly two months he finally touched down in Ibiza.
The final day saw him being dragged on a dinghy behind a boat for the final stretch of the journey over water.
A video posted to his page shows the long distance walker wearing a tuxedo and armbands as he emerges from the sea onto land to cheers from waiting onlookers.
