LEGEN-Z T10 League: Royal Challengers Delhi to face Bengal Tigers in opening clash
Jaipur (Rajasthan) [India], July 8 (ANI): The stage is set for a thrilling week of cricketing action as the LEGEN-Z T10 League will begin with Royal Challengers Delhi facing Bengal Tigers in the opening match on August 7 here at the iconic Sawai Mansingh International Stadium in Jaipur. The League organisers on Sunday released its match schedule ahead of the much-awaited inaugural edition. The opening day will feature a triple-header, beginning with Royal Challengers Delhi facing Bengal Tigers at 5:00 PM, as per a press release from LEGEN-Z T10 League. The second match of the day will see Southern United go up against MP Spartans at 7:00 PM, followed by a prime-time clash at 9:00 PM between Mumbai Stars and Rajasthan Raiders. The league stage will continue until August 11, with three matches scheduled each day, providing fans with back-to-back cricketing excitement and non-stop entertainment. On August 12, the knockout phase begins with another high-voltage triple-header. The day will feature Qualifier 1, the Eliminator, and Qualifier 2, scheduled for 5:00 PM, 7:00 PM, and 9:00 PM respectively. The tournament will culminate on August 13 with the grand finale under the lights at 7:00 PM. Speaking about the schedule, Venkatesh Prasad, Chairman of Legen-Z T10 League, said as quoted by the p[press release, 'Releasing the full match schedule marks the final lap in our months of meticulous planning. With back-to-back triple-headers and an action-packed finale, we're looking forward to players taking the field.' Bangladesh midfielder Hamza Choudhury made his international debut for the Bengal Tigers in March against India in an AFC Asian Cup 2027 Qualifier, which ended in a goalless draw. In June, the 27-year-old player scored his first international goal for Bangladesh during a 2-0 win over Bhutan in a friendly. Now, with the next international window only in October for the Bengal Tigers, Hamza's focus will shift to the next domestic season. Where will Bangladesh's Hamza Choudhury play next season? Having begun his footballing career with the Leicester City academy, Hamza made his senior team debut with the Foxes in 2017. While he has made more than 100 appearances for the former Premier League champion, the midfielder has spent a considerable time away from Leicester on loan at other clubs like Burton Albion and Watford. Most recently, he joined Sheffield United on loan in January for the second half of the 2024-25 season. With Sheffield, Hamza finished third in the Championship but the side lost the promotion play-offs final to Sunderland. As it stands, Hamza will be returning to his parent club of Leicester City ahead of the 2025-26 season and will continue to play in the Championship after the Foxes were relegated from the Premier League. Singapore edged past Bangladesh 2-1 in the Group C of the AFC Asian Cup Qualifiers at the Bangabandhu National Stadium in Dhaka on Tuesday. With this win, Singapore goes to second in the table after Hong Kong took the top spot following its win over India. Malaysia thrashes Vietnam 4-0 Malaysia scored four past Vietnam in the Group F of the AFC Asian Cup Qualifiers at the Bukit Jalil Stadium in Kuala Lumpur on Tuesday. With this win, the Malayan Tigers goes to the top of the table, while Vietnam moves down to second.
