But even a simple birthday message to his wife, Lauren Kyle, and their dog, Lenny, turned into a full-on fan campaign urging him to stay—or leave—for good. Fans hijack birthday post with emotional pleas and team pitches The NHL superstar Connor McDavid shared a personal post on Instagram wishing both his wife, Lauren Kyle and their beloved Bernedoodle a happy birthday. 'Happy Birthday Laur! You too Lenny, love you both so much,' McDavid wrote, alongside intimate photos of the couple and their pet. Others took a bolder approach. 'Toronto has a home for you,' posted a hopeful Maple Leafs supporter @ while another @dluk24 claimed, 'YOU are a Chicago Blackhawk,' in an open call for the generational talent to head to the Windy City. Connor McDavid puts family first while weighing NHL future Just days before the post, McDavid told media that any decision about his future would heavily involve his family. 'Ultimately, still need to do what's best for me and my family,' he said during his end-of-season availability. While Lauren Kyle also posted a birthday message to their dog Lenny, complete with a collage and a golf course photo featuring a heart next to McDavid, fans saw it as more than just personal—perhaps even a subtle signal. Owner Goes To Put Cushions Back on Couch, Unprepared for What Dog Does Next

Based on facts, either observed and verified firsthand by the reporter, or reported and verified from knowledgeable sources. Newsweek AI is in beta. Translations may contain inaccuracies—please refer to the original content. A dog's sweet way of sharing her toys with her owner has melted the hearts of viewers on TikTok. The dog, a miniature Bernedoodle based in New York, was captured sitting in her daybed looking rather pleased with herself after moving her favorite toy onto the couch to join her owner's cushions. The canine's owner, Stephanie Rose (@stephanniieerose), told viewers on the platform that her pet always mistakes her couch decor for being a set of toys belonging to her owner. The lighthearted post has been viewed more than 395,000 times to date, sparking many responses from viewers in the comments. Viewers were able to see Stephanie Rose's dog sitting calmly in her donut bed before the camera panned to show the dog's favorite toy, a small stuffed cat, after it had been placed within a row of couch cushions. @stephanniieerose does this makes sense bc i'm crying also she's been doing this since she was a babyyy 😭 every time without fail ♬ The Winner Is... - DeVotchKa Version - DeVotchKa An overlaid text on the video read: "Soulmated so hard that everytime I put my pillows back on the couch, she adds her favorite toy because she thinks they're my toys." "Does this makes sense [because] I'm crying also she's been doing this since she was a baby," the caption added. "Every time without fail." The video had been shared to the platform on May 20, around the time when creators had begun posting all the unique ways that they have "soulmated" with their pets in a lighthearted new social media trend. As for the canine's good-natured gesture of rounding all the "toys" up, dogs can indeed develop strong emotional attachments to toys for several reasons. These attachments often mirror bonding behaviors, with some dogs treating a particular toy as a surrogate companion. Toys can also become comfort objects, providing security during stressful times such as when the dog is left alone or exposed to new people and environments. This can all provide some explanation as to why Stephanie Rose's miniature Bernedoodle felt it appropriate to place her toys with what she assumed were her owner's. Viewers on TikTok were quick to gush over the sweet action, with many sharing their amusement at the viral moment in the comments. "Making her house a home," one viewer said, while another added in much agreement: "She's decorating." "She's just a little girl," a third viewer shared. "She must think you're so cute cuddling with your toys and never messing them up," another added. "What a sweetheart," a different viewer said. "I can't take it." Another commented: "Okay well now I'm crying in bed which is not unusual but still not appreciated." A variety of many large stuffed plush animals, ropes and chew bones for pet dogs. Conor Maynard welcomes new addition to his family with sweet Father's Day post after denying paternity of Charlotte Chilton's baby

Conor Maynard has welcomed a new addition to his family after vehemently denying that he was the father of Charlotte Chilton's baby girl. The singer, 32, shared a cosy snap with his girlfriend Kitty on Father's Day as they shared the sweets news with his fans. Conor revealed that they had adopted a Bernedoodle puppy named Bernard as he posted a picture of the couple cuddling the pooch. Kitty held the pup in her arms while Conor looked on adoringly and the fluffy creature in the snap captioned: 'Welcome to the family little Bernard.' Fans rushed to congratulate the couple on their new addition, including one who wrote: 'Awwh your first baby, so happy for you.' From A-list scandals and red carpet mishaps to exclusive pictures and viral moments, subscribe to the DailyMail's new Showbiz newsletter to stay in the loop. Kitty held the pup in her arms while Conor looked on adoringly and the fluffy creature in the snap captioned: 'Welcome to the family little Bernard' Last month, Conor broke his silence on the baby paternity scandal during a baffling interview on This Morning. He appeared on the ITV show to chat to hosts Alison Hammond and Paddy McGuinness to set the record straight after he previously said a DNA test confirmed he is not the father. Conor hit headlines last year after The Traitors 2024 star Charlotte, 32, revealed that Conor was the father of her unborn 'miracle' baby after falling pregnant following a one night stand. Hours after Conor's appearance, Charlotte put on a brave face as she stepped out with her baby daughter in Warwickshire. The reality star, who shot to fame on BBC 's The Traitors in 2024, claimed that he refused to acknowledge her daughter. Then in March this year Conor claimed that DNA test proved he's not the father. Appearing on the ITV show to promote his new single, Conor baffled viewers by not outright repeating that he is not the dad and and failing to say much of any note. He said: 'Realistically one the main reasons, the right time to speak about it was because as you already said, the last year has been really difficult. 'Mental health has been something I've suffered with my life. This recent year has been up there in terms of experience and battle with it. 'I've never shied away from that. My fans who follow me online, I've spoken about it before, even today, I've released a brand new song, it goes deeply into my battle with anxiety. 'A lot of things that have happened, contributed to why things have been difficult.' Paddy asked when he got the results, what was the instant feeling, to which Conor said: 'I actually felt like I was going to have a massive panic attack the second I found out. 'That's the difficult truth about mental health is that when something traumatic happens to you, the second when that traumatic event stops, you don't then go "oh I'm fine now, everything is fine. Great I can now move on". He added: 'It doesn't really work like that. Initially my friends were like "do you want to grab a drink? We'll go do something, go hang out near by your house, we can just talk." 'I stayed at home with my girlfriend. We stayed in that night and realistically tried to stay calm and have a relaxed night.' 'When the result came in, I can't even begin to explain to you how it was, unbelievable. 'It took a lot of time to process it and it took a lot of time to really understand and also to accept that I will never understand a lot of the things that ended up happening.' When asked if he had tried to contact Charlotte when the story went public last June, Conor said: 'We'd obviously spoken but at the same time she was pregnant, she was going to give birth for the first time. 'I was aware of this situation before, however, I had no idea that it was going to go to the press, I didn't know that any of that was going to happen. 'In my mind it was like well, obviously the natural proceeding would be a paternity test to basically make sure that everything is 100 per cent certain and then obviously, we deal with it accordingly and obviously, that's not the way it went.' Discussing how he refrained from speaking out on the situation he explained: 'It was difficult to remain silent. I instantly was painted as a deadbeat dad and that kind of thing and all of my comments across all of my social media, was very much all about that. 'Instinctively you want to defend yourself and you want to tell your side of the story but I also felt like it wasn't right to speak on it until I knew the truth myself.' 'I obviously researched paternity tests and that kind of thing and I know that it can be considered dangerous for a child that isn't born yet and also when they're very early in life. 'I was kind of just waiting and allowing that decision to come from the other side.' Back in March Conor dropped a huge bombshell by alleging that the results of a paternity test have shown he did not father a child with Charlotte, despite her claims. In his statement in March Conor's representatives have insisted the DNA test has 'drawn a line under the matter' and shared hopes that Charlotte 'can find a way to move forward.' He has since been moving on with his life, and in March took to Instagram to reveal he's embarking on a 'new chapter' by buying a house with his girlfriend Kitty Bertrand. He added: 'I've moved into a new house with my wonderful girlfriend who has been an absolute rock for me in the last year.' Charlotte reportedly still believes Conor is the father of her child according to pals, despite the singer's claims a paternity test has proven otherwise. Friends say the new mum has major doubts on the accuracy of the test after it was all reportedly controlled by Conor's lawyers. They added that the main reason for Charlotte's doubts come from the move by Conor to change the location of the DNA test at the last minute. As Charlotte's pals broke their silence on the paternity news, they told The Sun: 'She is bitterly disappointed about the results and her legal team are looking into how they move forward to ensure Conor takes a second test. It's been an exhausting fight between them.' Explaining how Conor has distanced himself from Charlotte since she announced her pregnancy they continued: 'He refused to take her calls or answer messages, and instead put everything into the hands of his lawyers. 'It's all been on his terms. Conor even had his team change the testing location. 'He couldn't wait to tell the world about the paternity test after getting the results.' Conor's representatives said to MailOnline: 'It is very difficult to understand how the location of the paternity test would have changed the results. 'To be clear, this test was conducted by a registered nurse in the presence of Charlotte's legal representative. The results have clearly drawn a line under the matter, and we can only hope that Charlotte can find a way to move forward.' Conor's bombshell Instagram statement read: 'Earlier this week, I took a paternity test regarding Charlotte Chiltern's baby girl Penelope, in the presence of her legal representative. 'Today I've received the test results which confirm that I am not Penelope's father. I am glad that the speculation can finally be put to an end.' He continued: 'All I would ask is that people act with kindness in response to this news - there is a child at the heart of all of this and that should not be forgotten. I wish Charlotte and her family all the best.' In the comments of the post, Conor's siblings Jack, 30, and Anna, 24, who is also the girlfriend of Traitors winner Harry Clark, showed their support with emojis. MailOnline has contacted a representative for Charlotte for comment. At the time of her shock announcement claiming that Conor was the father back in June, speaking to OK!, Charlotte said: 'He knows [I've given birth] I've not heard anything, I had real torment over whether to contact him when she was here or not. 'And I figured I don't want to speak to him, but he has a right to know. I knew if I didn't reach out people would say I hadn't bothered'. Charlotte also spoke candidly about her post natal anxiety and the fact that Penelope looks just like her alleged father. 'There have been days where I've been in tears because I'm sitting here thinking, 'I've got a daughter that looks f**king identical to you'. She went on to discuss whether she wanted Conor to be part of her daughter's life, stating: 'If she wants to walk away from him, that's fine, but she needs to make that decision for herself when she's older, I'm not going to deny her contact if he decides he wants to see her.' Conor's bombshell claim came just after Charlotte opened up about the financial hardships she faces as a single mother. In an exclusive chat with MailOnline, Charlotte explained not just the mental but practical implications of the fallout, confessing she's been forced to work around the clock as a new mum just to make ends meet. Charlotte - who has launched her recruitment consultancy business - explained: 'You struggle financially to make ends start in a new business. 'You don't take a salary very often in your first year - and I'm trying to do this whilst I've got a newborn baby - do you look after a newborn and do recruitment? It's very difficult to manage.' Charlotte continued: 'Penelope has got everything she needs don't get me wrong, she's got nice clothes, we're booked into baby massage, she's learning to swim, but that's because I put her first. I go without so she can have these things. 'If someone else were to chip in, what else could I provide for her? What else could I do? Be a mum who's present instead of a mum that's working every hour and is exhausted all the time because she's trying to make ends meet.'

Plus, it's purportedly durable enough to withstand reviewers' kids jumping on available in nine colors and four reviews: "My 8 week old schnauzer was super hot when sleeping, due to where we live and having carpet in our house. We got this for her to lay on and it cools her belly and she LOVES it! Not to mention, it helps her get her crawling and jumping energy out in the play pen. So far she hasn't been able to chew on the fabric and mess it up, it's pretty strong material. One for home and one for the office when George visits his dad at work.- easy to put together. 2 mins tops!- yes you can install it without the side cushions if you want- can be taken apart to wash. We just hose it off in the yard- so far it has taken the abuse of a 100 lbs dog with no issues.- a must buy." —JohnPrice: $46.63+ Plus a cooling cot with a removable canopy This mesh bed stands eight inches off the ground to maximize the circulation of air (and to take advantage of any errant breeze). The red color faded and the screen just gave way 2 days YEARS AND FOUR MONTHS LATER! The stainless steel is not only a great material to avoid bacteria, but it looks great with the minimalistic design. The fountain is so quiet, you have to be standing right next to it to even hear it. It has a soft light, that is both functional (blue means the water level is sufficient, red means time to fill) and adds to the design. And best of all, I've never seen my cats drink so much water.I've placed this fountain in the kitchen. So, it's available to the dog and cats. And I plan on replacing my current cat only fountain with another one of these." —L. I have a Bernese mountain dog who is always hot and likes to sleep on the tile kitchen floor because it's cold. Now that I have this mat, thought, he chooses to sleep on it! I searched for weeks trying to find the best cooling mat and truly was skeptical they would even work, but could not be happier with this one! It is definitely not the cheapest option, but it is SO worth the money! I've laid on it to test it myself and it is incredibly cold for hours and then takes about 10 minutes of no one on it to 'reset' and be cold again. If you have a large, hairy, always hot pup I would HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND this product! Also, I should note, that my pup does 'dig' at it to get comfortable before laying down and it has zero scratches it seems it's indestructible with how much he abuses it haha it is very cushy and comfortable and the material is super easy to clean. 10/10 recommend!" —Christina BorowiakPrice: $49.99 Or a chilled mat that may help your pet sleep better in the heat This cooling pad similarly stays chilled for up to three hours once it detects weight, and sports a gel interior for added cold comfort.
