Love Island fans divided as two Islanders axed including 'winner'

Megan Forte Clarke and Remell Mullins were asked to leave the Island tonight after viewers voted for their favourite stars and they came in at the bottom of the list Love Island viewers have been left divided after a dramatic elimination saw two islanders dumped from the villa tonight (June 27), including one half of a couple previously tipped to win the entire series. The public have been voting for their favourite Islanders, and after the results came in, Megan Forte Clarke and Remell Mullins were revealed to be the public's least liked girl and boy in the villa. This meant they were asked to leave the island in the most recent instalment of the ITV reality show. ‌ Remell has been tipped to leave Love Island early ever since he stepped out on viewer favourite Alima, but Megan's exit comes as a surprise as only days ago viewers were predicting that she and her partner Tommy Bradley were frontrunners to win the entire series. ‌ Bookies indicated they were in the lead, with Betfred offering Megan at 15/8 and Unibet putting Tommy at 7/4 to take the Love Island prize home just last Wednesday (June 18). Fans also thought Megan was destined to be at the Love Island finale with Tommy by her side, as one previously tweeted: "I know Tommy and Megan are on the clear road to win Love Island UK but we actually can't let that happen." Fans have reacted to her exit, with one poking fun at her sudden fall from grace, saying: "Megan really quickly went from Hero to Zero." Another agreed: "Megan deffo had a chance at winning the show if she just stuck with Tommy." Someone else was delighted to see her booted out as a consequence for her actions, and shared: "Megan has been dumped? Thank God. What she did to Tommy was awful." Before she was voted out, Megan's love story took a dramatic turn this week. After being coupled up with Tommy since day one, the 24-year-old Irish beauty sparked outrage among viewers when she shared a secret kiss with fellow Irish islander Conor Phillips while Conor's partner Emily was away from the villa. ‌ After Emily returned, she confronted Conor about his betrayal in the Snug. She seemed particularly surprised that Megan had agreed to lock lips with him, saying: "That's quite intense… I thought Megan was more into Tommy to the point where she wouldn't have done that." Later that evening, Conor dropped another bombshell by telling Emily that he would be spending the night with Megan in the Hideaway. In the private bedroom the pair had another smooch, and Conor even gifted Megan his bracelet. Fans were left furious after both Conor and Megan hurt the feelings of the people they were coupled up with. One took to social media to say: "Conor didn't care one bit about dumping Emily. She basically did it without him asking." Another viewer fumed: "OMG not Megan and Conor going to the hideaway MINUTES after dumping Emily and Tommy." Poor Tommy was heartbroken to have lost Megan after going steady with her since the start of the show, and opened up to his friends Harry and Ben, admitting he just wanted to "sit in a quiet corner". Before going into the Hideaway with Conor Megan pulled Tommy for a chat, coldly telling him: "It's nothing against you, but I'm here to explore connections. I didn't have to come and tell you this but I do like you, so I am telling you."

Wimbledon ladies' singles predictions: Outright tips and odds

Our expert has two outright tips for this year's ladies' singles competition at Wimbledon, including a long shot at 80/1. We think 2022 champion Elena Rybakina could go the distance. Elena Rybakina to win Wimbledon @ 6/1 with Betfred Ons Jabeur to win Wimbledon @ 80/1 with Betfred All odds courtesy of Betfred. Correct at the time of publication and subject to change. Rybakina ready for repeat triumph With defending champion Barbora Krejcikova struggling with injury and outright favourite Aryna Sabalenka prone to throwing away major finals, there is a wide-open feel to the ladies' singles event at Wimbledon this year. Coco Gauff will be a popular pick after winning the French Open this year and the American has found a good balance in temperament. But an opener against Dayana Yastremska is far from ideal and Gauff was below her best on grass in Berlin, losing in the first round. Iga Swiatek, meanwhile, performed well at Bad Homburg and has a fairly straightforward draw, but there is no getting away from the fact she is generally weak on grass. One player who could seize the initiative is 6/1 shot Elena Rybakina, who won Wimbledon in 2022. Rybakina has avoided Sabalenka, Madison Keys and Jasmine Paolini in her half of the draw and, while Swiatek and Gauff are in her quarter, she is capable of beating both players. She looks like she is getting back to her best under current coach Davide Sanguinetti, having claimed the WTA Strasbourg title as recently as May, and her confidence is returning. In preparation for Wimbledon, she chose to compete on grass in Berlin and reached the quarter-finals, in which she played some excellent tennis against Sabalenka, losing 6-7 6-3 6-7. She fired down 14 aces in that contest and her powerful serve could carry her far at Wimbledon, where she also made the quarter-finals in 2023 and semi-finals in 2024. Grass specialist Jabeur looks overpriced The open nature of the ladies' singles competition at Wimbledon means there are some big prices around and unseeded talent Ons Jabeur looks massive at 80/1 with Betfred, especially as other bookmakers rate her around the 50/1 mark, which looks big in itself. Paolini, who has a poor record at Wimbledon aside from last year's appearance in the final, and Qinwen Zheng, who struggles on grass, are the two toughest opponents in her quarter, which is among the softest in the draw. Jabeur reached consecutive finals at Wimbledon in 2022 and 2023 and, since 2021, no woman has won more matches on grass than the Tunisian ace (36). Her game is made for the surface and, having previously struggled with the weight of expectation at the All England Club, she could ironically thrive when bookmakers are not giving her a chance.

Wimbledon men's singles predictions: Outright tips and odds

Our expert has two outright tips for this year's men's singles competition at Wimbledon, including a long-shot selection at 25/1. Unsurprisingly, we think Carlos Alcaraz will be the man to beat. Carlos Alcaraz to win Wimbledon @ 5/4 with Betfred Alex Zverev to win Wimbledon @ 25/1 with Betfred All odds courtesy of Betfred. Correct at the time of publication and subject to change. Red-hot Alcaraz looks unstoppable Yes, it's a predictable tip, but it's one that simply has to be put up. Even at skinnier-than-ideal odds of 5/4, Carlos Alcaraz is a smart bet to win the men's singles title at Wimbledon this year. The Spaniard, who is chasing a hat-trick of consecutive titles at the All England Club, already looked the man to beat before a favourable draw put the final nail in the coffin for his competitors. Alcaraz's potential route to the final begins with a fun clash against Fabio Fognini, before facing a qualifier in round two, while Felix Auger-Aliassime is the best player he could take on in round three. He avoids Jannik Sinner, Novak Djokovic and Jack Draper in his half of the draw and comes into Wimbledon on an 18-match winning streak in all competitions. As part of that run, he won Queen's just last week, dropping only two sets en route to the title. There is no shortage of hunger in the young Spaniard, who already has as many grass-court titles to his name as legendary compatriot Rafael Nadal (four) and won the French Open in early June. His superior pace and movement around court will give him the edge if he comes up against fading force Djokovic in the final, while Sinner is worth swerving in the betting. The Italian is arguably still not operating at his maximum after missing several months due to a doping ban and he was underwhelming at the Halle Open, losing to Alexander Bublik in the last 16. German value to break Wimbledon curse Those after a bigger price in the men's outright betting at Wimbledon should look no further than Alex Zverev at a juicy 25/1. Zverev has traditionally struggled at Wimbledon, but he has been edging closer to that elusive first grand-slam title, reaching the final of the French Open last year and the Australian Open this year. He has never gone beyond the fourth round at Wimbledon but he has shown signs of promise on grass this season. After finishing as runner-up at the Stuttgart Open, Zverev continued to excel on the surface at the Halle Open, making the semi-finals before a hard-fought defeat by Daniil Medvedev. And even though he crashed out in the fourth round at Wimbledon last season, it was arguably his best performance yet as he led Taylor Fritz by two sets before running out of steam. Like Alcaraz, he is stationed in the softer half of the men's singles draw and will have a smooth run ahead of him, provided he can negotiate a slightly tricky opener with Arthur Rinderknech. And even if he does come up against Alcaraz in the semi-finals, he can draw confidence from the fact he leads the head-to-head with the Spaniard 6-5, winning three of their last five meetings.

Juventus vs Manchester City predictions: Club World Cup tips and odds

Our expert tipster has three tips for Thursday's Club World Cup Group G decider between Juventus and Manchester City at the Camping World Stadium in Orlando, Florida (kick-off, 8pm BST). We think the goals could flow between these European heavyweights. Juventus vs Manchester City tips Both teams to score and over 2.5 goals @ 6/5 with Betfred Juventus to have most booking points @ 19/20 with Betfred Kenan Yildiz to score at any time @ 7/2 with Betfred Odds courtesy of Betfred. Correct at the time of publication and subject to change. Already a Betfred member? Check out more free bets from the best betting sites, reviewed by our experts. Goals to flow in Orlando Winning Group G could be crucial for Juventus or Manchester City, so a high-octane game could be on the cards in Orlando, where both teams to score and over 2.5 goals appeals at 6/5. The group winners are likely to avoid Real Madrid in the last 16 and will also remain in Orlando, rather than moving over to Miami, so there is plenty to play for in this game. Juve can seal top spot with a point as they have scored more goals, but sitting back against City could be a dangerous game and they have enough firepower to cause problems for Pep Guardiola's men. Although the quality of opposition in Group G has been questionable, both of these sides have looked energetic and cohesive in attack in games against Wydad and Al Ain, scoring 17 goals between them, and this game could be more open and free-flowing than expected. Card count could rise for Juve City had one of the best disciplinary records in the Premier League last season, picking up 44 yellow cards and a single red in 38 games, and that trend has generally continued into the Club World Cup. Rico Lewis was sent off for City in their opening win over Wydad, but they have otherwise picked up just one caution across their two games in the competition. Juventus, meanwhile, have already had five players go into the book and are averaging more fouls per game (14.5) at the tournament than City (10.5), so backing the Turin giants to get more cards at 19/20 could be a decent betting approach. In-form Yildiz to strike again The goalscorer market for this contest is largely dominated by City players, but those who fancy Juventus to find the net should consider a bet on Kenan Yildiz to score at 7/2. The 20-year-old Turkish prodigy has been on the fringes of the Juventus first team in Serie A this term but still scored seven goals in 28 appearances and has looked confident at the Club World Cup. Yildiz has already bagged three goals in two matches and also had a shot deflected in for an own goal last time out. His strike from distance against Wydad was a contender for goal of the tournament. Juventus vs Manchester City odds All odds courtesy of Betfred. Correct at the time of publication and subject to change.
