'Party Workers Are the Backbone of BJP': Bhagat Reddy Highlights Grassroots Strength and Central Welfare Schemes
Gadwal: In a press conference held at the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) office in Aij town, BJP town president Kampati Bhagat Reddy, along with party leaders, emphasized the pivotal role played by party workers in strengthening the organization at the grassroots level. Speaking to reporters, Bhagat Reddy stressed that booth-level empowerment and welcoming new members into the BJP are top priorities for the party. He firmly stated that there is no distinction between new and old members within the BJP, asserting that 'every worker is a BJP soldier, and party workers are the backbone of our organization.' He hailed the strength and enthusiasm of the workers as a source of inspiration and paid tribute to those who have dedicated decades of their lives to building the party. He also addressed misinformation being spread by political rivals, particularly Congress leaders, who claim that those joining the BJP would lose access to government schemes. 'These statements are misleading and inappropriate,' he said, asserting that people are free to join the BJP voluntarily. Criticism of the Congress Government Bhagat Reddy came down heavily on the ruling Congress government in Telangana, accusing it of making false promises and misleading the public with schemes that are neither practical nor implementable. He referred to the Congress' much-publicized '6 Guarantees' as '66 deceptions' that brought them to power. He questioned the delay and lack of transparency in implementing welfare schemes, insisting that all eligible citizens should receive the benefits they are entitled to. Highlighting Central Government Welfare Schemes Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the central government has implemented numerous development and welfare programs that directly benefit the people of Telangana, Bhagat Reddy said. He highlighted the following schemes: Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi: Eligible farmers receive ₹6,000 per year in three equal installments, credited directly into their bank accounts. This is fully funded by the Central Government. Soil Health Card Scheme: Provides farmers with critical information about soil health to reduce the use of harmful chemicals and improve crop yield. Ayushman Bharat: Offers free medical treatment up to ₹5 lakhs annually for poor families. Bhagat Reddy noted that this scheme has not been fully implemented in Telangana due to the state's preference for continuing its own Aarogyasri scheme. Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao: Focuses on protecting the rights of girl children and promoting their education through awareness programs. Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan: A joint initiative of the central and state governments aimed at improving educational standards from primary to intermediate levels. Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana: Provides assistance to build homes for the urban and rural poor through joint funding by the central and state governments. Skill Development Initiatives: Programs like Startup India and Standup India are aimed at empowering youth through free skill training, financial assistance, and mentorship, encouraging entrepreneurship and self-reliance. Party Unity and Future Vision Bhagat Reddy reaffirmed the BJP's commitment to inclusive growth and transparent governance, stating that the party is focused on reaching every eligible citizen with development programs. He reiterated that no genuine beneficiary would be left behind, and the BJP remains committed to a development-driven agenda. Leaders Present at the Event The press meet was attended by several key party members including District Council Member Pradeep Kumar, Aij Town Vice Presidents Lakshman Goud and Bellankonda Nagaraju, and senior leaders like Raghu, among others. The event concluded with a call to all BJP workers to intensify their outreach, educate the public about government schemes, and continue working at the grassroots level to strengthen the party further.

BJP Slams Revanth Reddy Government Over Severe Negligence in Public Healthcare: Insulin Shortage, Medicine Crisis in PHCs
Gadwal: Local leaders of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) made a surprise visit to the government healthcare facility in Ayija town on Thursday. During the visit, the Ayija Town BJP President, Kompati Bhagat Reddy, voiced strong concerns over the deteriorating state of public health services under the Revanth Reddy-led Congress government in Telangana. Diabetes Epidemic & Insulin Shortage Citing data from the National Family Health Survey (NFHS-5) conducted between 2019 and 2021, Bhagat Reddy highlighted a worrying trend in the state's health indicators. According to the report: 13.8% of men and 10.2% of women in Telangana suffer from diabetes. Over 1.19 million individuals aged 30 and above are estimated to be diabetic. Telangana currently ranks third in the country in terms of the number of diabetic patients. The Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, in its latest report to the Parliament, confirmed these statistics and raised alarms over the escalating health crisis in the state. Despite the critical nature of this disease, Reddy pointed out that insulin—an essential medicine for diabetic patients—has not been available in government hospitals and Primary Health Centres (PHCs) for the past four months. He blamed the Congress government's inefficiency and its failure to establish proper procurement agreements with insulin manufacturing companies for this dire shortage. Medicines Unavailable in Government Hospitals Further criticizing the healthcare infrastructure, Reddy revealed that as per 2022 government records, 863 types of medicines are supposed to be available for free in public hospitals. However, only 266 varieties are currently in stock, leaving a huge gap in essential healthcare delivery. 'This gross neglect is a result of administrative failure and mismanagement by the Congress regime,' he asserted. Other Alarming Issues in PHCs and Hospitals Contract doctors have reportedly not received their salaries for the past three months. Several PHCs lack even basic amenities like ceiling fans. With the monsoon season underway, the risk of seasonal diseases such as dengue, malaria, and diarrhea has risen sharply. A surge in patients suffering from viral fevers has been observed, but public hospitals lack the required medicines to treat them. 'Despite the clear warning signs, the government has not taken any proactive measures to tackle the growing burden of seasonal illnesses. Citizens are being pushed toward suffering and uncertainty due to this negligence,' Bhagat Reddy added. Party Leaders Demand Urgent Government Action Along with Bhagat Reddy, several BJP leaders took part in the inspection and press interaction: Ayija Town Vice President Lakshman Goud Bellankonda Nagaraju Ayija Town Kisan Morcha President Veeresh Goud Booth Presidents Narasimhulu and Venkatesh They collectively demanded the immediate restoration of medicine supplies, release of pending salaries to contractual healthcare workers, and upgrading of facilities at PHCs and government hospitals to tackle both chronic and seasonal health issues. The BJP leaders concluded by warning that continued neglect of public healthcare would have long-term consequences and vowed to keep raising the issue until corrective measures are taken.

Emergency Anniversary: BJP Slams Congress 'Dynastic Arrogance', Recalls 1975 Crackdown on Democracy
Gadwal: On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Emergency imposed in India on June 25, 1975, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) organized a press meet at its Aija town office, presided over by local BJP town president Kampati Bhagat Reddy. The event marked a strong criticism of the Congress party's historical actions during the Emergency period and its continued "dynastic mindset." Bhagat Reddy, while addressing the media, condemned what he called the "illusion of Congress" that the office of the Prime Minister is a birthright of one family and that India's freedom and future lies only within their grip. He described this mindset as a deeply rooted arrogance of the Nehru-Gandhi family. He recounted that on the midnight of June 25, 1975, the then Prime Minister Indira Gandhi, based on her recommendation, had President Fakhruddin Ali Ahmed declare a national emergency under Article 352(1) of the Indian Constitution. This was in response to the Allahabad High Court's verdict on June 12, which had invalidated Indira Gandhi's election, and the Supreme Court's conditional stay on June 25, 1975. Prominent opposition leaders like Jayaprakash Narayan and Morarji Desai had then demanded her resignation. Bhagat Reddy accused the Congress party of treating the entire country as its private property. He said, 'That family believes it has unrestricted power to crush India's independence for any reason, at any time. Their faith in their own superiority is so deep that they act as if democracy is theirs to suspend.' He further stated, 'Just 28 years after Prime Minister Nehru spoke about the first moments of India's freedom at the stroke of midnight in 1947, his own daughter, Indira Gandhi, plunged the country into darkness, imposing dictatorship through a single stroke of the pen.' Reddy highlighted the brutal impacts of the Emergency — mass arrests, public beatings, suppression of media freedom, forced sterilizations, and a complete breakdown of citizens' fundamental rights. He said these events reminded the people of British colonial rule, and Emergency-era policies inflicted deep psychological trauma on Indian society that still lingers. He described how during the Emergency, the judiciary was gagged, citizens were deprived of basic legal recourse, and the freedom of the press — the fourth pillar of democracy — was crushed. 'As we mark 50 years since that dark chapter in Indian democracy,' Reddy said, 'it is a moment of reflection for all democracy-loving citizens. We must remember and analyze this history. It is the responsibility of every generation to retell the past, learn from it, and ensure it is never repeated.' Several other BJP leaders also attended the program, including Kisan Morcha president Veeresh Goud, K. Rajasekhar, Gadiga Raghu, and Raju, among others. The event concluded with a call to younger generations to remain vigilant and uphold democratic values, so that such an abuse of constitutional power is never repeated.

Revanth Government Hesitating to Conduct Local Body Elections, Alleges BJP in Ayija
Gadwal: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders in Ayija town have strongly criticized the Telangana state government, led by Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, for its continued delay in conducting local body elections. Addressing a press conference organized at the BJP office in Ayija, the town BJP president Kampati Bhagat Reddy accused the state government of intentionally avoiding the elections due to a lack of courage to face the people. He reminded the media that the schedule for these elections was expected to be announced in mid-February this year, yet there has been no progress since. > 'Despite knowing that the delay in conducting local body elections may lead to the stoppage of central government funds, the Revanth government continues to procrastinate,' Bhagat Reddy stated. He emphasized that Panchayati Raj institutions, the third tier of India's democratic governance structure, are being neglected by the state administration. The 73rd and 74th Constitutional Amendments were introduced to empower rural and urban local bodies respectively, promoting decentralization, self-governance, and accountability. However, the state government, he claimed, is ignoring this spirit by bypassing elected local bodies and instead routing development activities through various non-representative institutions. > 'Such parallel institutions do not reflect the aspirations and needs of the local population,' he argued, adding that strengthening Panchayats would reduce the financial burden on the state treasury and lead to more sustainable development. Bhagat Reddy accused the government of weakening the financial and administrative autonomy of Panchayats for the sake of maintaining political and economic control, thereby undermining transparency and local governance. He further alleged that the Revanth Reddy-led administration is avoiding elections not only because of public dissatisfaction but also due to internal issues within the ruling party. These include: Failure to implement six key promises made during the elections, A governance paralysis due to the state's reluctance to release funds even for minor works, Lack of coordination among ministers, Public dissatisfaction voiced openly by several MLAs, And the absence of constituency development funds, making it difficult for MLAs to face their constituents. 'Even after more than one and a half years since the expiration of the term of the local body representatives, the government has not provided any clarity on when the elections will be held,' he added. The press meet witnessed participation from other BJP leaders including SC Morcha State Executive Committee member Madanna, Town Vice Presidents Bellamkonda Nagaraju and Veeresh Goud, as well as Lakshmanachari, G. Raghu, Madhavachari, and Raju. They collectively demanded that the state government honor the Constitution, empower local self-governments, and immediately announce the election schedule for Panchayat and municipal bodies.
