IRCTC Launches ‘Dakshin Darshan Yatra With 2 Jyotirlinga' from Aug 21
Nagpur: IRCTC has announced the Dakshin Darshan Yatra with 02 Jyotirlinga under its Bharat Gaurav Tourist Train initiative, offering a 10-night, 11-day pilgrimage from August 21, 2025. The journey starts from Rewa and covers Tirupati, Rameswaram, Madurai, Kanyakumari, and Mallikarjuna (Srisailam). Boarding points include Satna, Nagpur, and Sevagram, among others. Bharat Gaurav train to stop at Sitamarhi & Buxar during Shri Ramayana Yatra
Patna: Bharat Gaurav Tourist Train, which is all set to begin its journey on Shri Ramayana Yatra circuit from Safdarjung railway station in Delhi on July 25, will make stoppages at Sitamarhi — considered Devi Sita's birth place — and Buxar in Bihar, before reaching Janakpur in neighbouring Nepal. The fully air-conditioned (AC) train will cover approximately 7,600 kilometres, also stopping at Ayodhya, Varanasi, Prayagraj, Chitrakoot, Nasik, Hampi and Rameshwaram among others over the next 17 days under the central govt's 'Dekho Apna Desh' and 'Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat' missions. According to East Central Railway's chief public relations officer Saraswati Chandra, the train will accommodate 150 tourists in AC-1, 2 and 3 coaches. The all-inclusive package fare is fixed at Rs 1,66,380 for AC 1, Rs 1,40,120 for AC 2 and Rs 1,17,975 for AC 3 per person. However, the fare for an AC-1 coupé will be Rs 1,79,515, he said. The spiritual journey will take pilgrims across significant locations linked to the life of Lord Ram, with an aim to promote unity through tourism by connecting diverse regions and cultural landmarks of the country. IRCTC launches ‘Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Circuit' heritage train from June 9
The Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) has announced the launch of a special heritage tourism initiative the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Circuit under its Bharat Gaurav Tourist Train scheme, beginning June 9, 2025. The six-day rail journey will start and end at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT), Mumbai, offering tourists a curated experience of significant historical sites related to the life of the Maratha warrior king. The itinerary includes prominent destinations such as Raigad Fort, Shivneri Fort, Lal Mahal and Shivsrushti in Pune, Bhimashankar Temple, Pratapgad Fort, Kolhapur's Mahalaxmi Temple, and Panhala Fort.
