Telugu star Nithiin lists 3 emotional reasons behind his hope for Thammudu's success
Telugu star Nithiin is going through a tough time in his career, but that has not stopped him from doing back-to-back films. Post the debacle of Robinhood, he is now ready with an action drama titled Thammudu, which is all set for release on July 4, 2025. Nithiin's next is Thammudu A fan of Nithiin? Stream his films, Sye and Bheeshma, on OTTplay Premium The noted actor spoke his heart out at the pre-release event of the film and stated that he wants it to become a hit for three reasons. The first being the director, Sreeram Venu, who has been working on Thammudu for the last two years. Then, Nithiin revealed that his fans have been waiting to see a hit from him for the longest time, and Thammudu will fulfill their thirst. Lastly, Nithiin added that the entire cast of the film shot for months together in dense forests, which took a toll on all of them. "Everyone associated with the film has worked hard on Thammudu. The film's story happens in a single night and has gruesome action sequences. The entire cast went through a lot of physical strain to bring the story alive. I promise that Thammudu will be one hell of an action drama filled with solid emotions and great performances," said Nithiin. Sapthami Gowda makes her Telugu debut with Thammudu Thammudu is quite special as it marks the comeback of yesteryear heroine Laya to the big screen after a long gap. Thammudu is based on her character, and Laya will be seen as Nithiin's sister in the film. Also, Kantara actress Sapthami Gowda is making her Telugu debut with this film, produced by Dil Raju. The makers have seen solid losses with Ram Charan's Game Changer and still spent close to ₹ 60 crore on Thammudu, despite knowing that Nithiin has not delivered a single hit in the last few years. That is the reason Nithiin openly admits he did not take any remuneration for the film and will only take a share in profits if the film clicks at the box office. Let's see what happens in the days to come.

Kantara fame Sapthami Gowda on her Telugu debut Thammudu: As the female lead, I shot for only two hours with Nithiin
Sapthami Gowda made a name for herself with the Rishab Shetty film Kantara. Soon after the film became a roaring success, she signed Nithiin's Telugu film Thammudu in 2022. It's been three years since, and the action drama is finally set to hit screens on July 4, 2025. Despite having been picked for the film based on her performance in Kantara, Sapthami says that she had to screen-test for her role in the Sreeram Venu film. Kantara fame Sapthami Gowda is set for her Telugu film debut A fan of Nithiin? Stream his films Bheeshma and Sye on OTTplay Premium 'It has been a long time since I signed the film. Due to some unforeseen reasons, the film got delayed, but I do not have any regrets as the time for the release is perfect. After the release of Kantara, I was approached by the makers and had to screen test for my role. Once they saw the output, I was onboard,' says Sapthami. When asked about her role in Thammudu, Sapthami says that she plays a village girl and has a key role in the narrative. 'I have a lot of solo scenes in Thammudu and did not have much scope to shoot with other stars in the film. You will be surprised to know that I shot for only two hours with Nithiin and hardly had time to interact even with him,' adds Sapthami. The trailer has caught the attention of many, and Sapthami is shown mouthing a rustic village slang, which is quite difficult for a non-Telugu girl. The clips in the trailer showcase Sapthami speaking on the radio and giving instructions. When asked about the same, Sapthami refused to reveal more and stated that one needs to watch the film to know more about her role. However, Sapthami states that acting in a Telugu film has been an enriching experience for her, and she would love to do more Telugu films in the future. Sharing screen space with Varsha Bollama and Laya Thammudu has two other popular heroines, Varsha Bollama and Laya, in key roles. When asked about the same, she says, 'Though there are multiple heroines, everyone is playing an important role in the film. My role brings a lot of depth to the film, and I am super excited to see how the Telugu audience receives me in Tollywood,' says Sapthami. Sreeram Venu, who last made the super hit film Vakeel Saab with Pawan Kalyan, has helmed this film, which has music by Ajaneesh Lokanath. Thammudu did not have much of a buzz, but ever since the trailer came out, the hype for the film is back again, and Sapthami says that the content in Thammudu is quite strong and will surely stand out.

Samalochana thinkers meet held
Rajamahendravaram: Senior advocate of the Supreme Court P Sridhar shared profound insights on the theme 'Dharma – Constitution – Challenges'. The event brought together intellectuals to explore India's ethical and constitutional foundations. In a compelling address at the 'Samalochana' thinkers meet, held at Cherukuri Veeraju Kalyana Mandapam in Rajamahendravaram, Sridhar reflected on the deep spiritual meaning of Dharma and Satya, asking whether the two are synonymous or distinct. Drawing from personal experience, he recalled how the death of his father in 2011 led him into the world of Ithihasas like the Ramayana and Mahabharata. Guided by mentors such as Justice Narasimha and the legendary advocate K Parasaran, he discovered how ancient scriptures remain relevant to constitutional and ethical discourse. He highlighted the teachings of Bheeshma from the Mahabharata and noted that Dharma involves non-violence, truth, charity, and control over anger. He questioned society's tendency to accept the words of the powerful as Dharma, sidelining the voices of the righteous but powerless. Through the story of Prahlada and Virochana, he illustrated the inescapable duty of responsibility in any profession. He argued that Dharma requires action in thought (manasa), word (vachasa), and deed (karmena). Sridhar explored the distinction between Dharma and Satya, quoting Bheeshma's 11 attributes of truth like impartiality, compassion, and dignity, and asserted 'Satya is that which furthers Dharma.' He mentioned an episode from Karna Parva, where Krishna equates Para Ninda (criticizing others) with murder and Atma Stuti (self-praise) with suicide, offering a powerful reflection on ethical speech and inner discipline. In today's society, while many people actively speak about their rights, there is a growing need to pay greater attention to responsibilities, said renowned advocate Chintapenta Prabhakar. He attended this gathering as the chief guest. He said that parents must instil a sense of social responsibility and patriotism in their children from an early age. 'It is not enough to merely educate children academically. They must also be taught to become responsible citizens who contribute to the betterment of society,' he remarked. Stressing the significance of Dharma, Prabhakar stated that every Indian must understand and uphold it. He added, 'Our ancient texts place great importance on Dharma. These principles are timeless and relevant even in modern life. It is our responsibility to pass this wisdom on to the next generation.' Samalochana Rajamahendravaram chapter president Matta Reddy and secretary Sanat Kumar Janapati also spoke at this meeting.
