Everything We Know About Mariah Carey's Sixteenth Album, "Here For It All"

The superstar announced that her sixteenth studio album, Here For It All, will officially drop in September. She first teased the news on July 20 by sharing a video on social media of all of her album covers played against a medley of some of her greatest hits. '#MC16 🦋,' the caption read. On the morning of July 21, she confirmed the news by sharing yet another video, this time featuring herself strutting in front of a blown-up image of her new album cover. Here For It All will officially release on September 26. The album is currently available for pre-order. Pre-Save the Album on Spotify The lead single is already out. Carey dropped Here For It All's first single and accompanying music video back in June. 'Type Dangerous,' a hypnotic dance song, was co-written and co-produced with Carey has also since released several remixes of 'Type Dangerous' with Big Sean, Busta Rhymes, DJ Snake, and Luísa Sonza. Mariah has been working on this album for years. Carey previously confirmed that new music was on the way during a November 2023 appearance on Good Morning America. 'I've been working... on just writing new songs,' she said at the time. 'Yesterday we were in the studio working on something with a choir, working on a new song. So it's exciting.' She continued to tease the project in a May 2024 interview with Variety. 'I've written some new songs,' she told the outlet. 'You know, I'm excited about it. I have to figure out which songs I'm going to do and which songs I'm not going to do. But I think I'm very excited about it.' It's not just a sweet, sweet fantasy: Mariah Carey's about to deliver something 'Sugar Sweet.' The pop queen stepped into the kitchen to whip up a small taste of what's to come for fans this weekend — in the form of a light, sugary song. Carey shared a short video of herself mixing batter at the kitchen counter on Saturday (July 19). In the social media clip catered for fans, she fixes her gaze on the camera with a knowing smile and mouths the lyrics to a new tune. Fortunately for eager fans awaiting Carey's first full-length studio project since 2018, the new album is ready to go when she's ready to reveal it. 'What is next? The album coming out. Atlanta rapper Russ called out a fan trying to get his attention from the crowd, and after facing online backlash, he refuses to "be gaslit" into the role of villain. Russ was on the Toronto stop of his Into The Wild Tour with special guests Big Sean and Sabrina Claudio at the Budweiser Stage on July 12 when he interrupted his performance to address somebody in the crowd trying to get his attention. The fan being addressed was apparently trying to gift the "Losin Control" singer an "Indigenous medallion," but Russ wasn't interested based on how the entire interaction initially went down. "I can't lie, man. If I'm performing and you spent the whole show," Russ said frantically pointing to his hand, "what do you want me to do, stop the whole show? Pacing around the stage, he continued, visibly frustrated. "It's like damn dog. I'm trying to perform, and you're spending the whole show trying to get me to look at some shit you're holding up the whole time. What do you want me to do, stop what I'm doing and say 'Hold on, everyone else, all 10,000 of y'all, wait; got to pay attention to this one person.' We've got to stop what I'm doing – we're all doing?" "Dog, respect the people around you. You feel me? It's not just about you," Russ said as the crowd applauded. An X user replied to Russ, writing, "There's a video of you circulating refusing a cultural gift art gift," to which he replied with a video showing that particular fan allegedly got his attention by mimicking the gestures for a possible medical emergency. "Let me make something clear that I thought the average person would understand just based off common respect but alas It's disrespectful to disrupt an artist's performance. Period. "I stopped the show out of genuine concern, only to realize it was a ploy to get my attention and show me a gift," he continued. "I didn't accept it because that's not showing love, that's hijacking the show. It disrespected me, the performance, and the fans who were there to be present with the music. What made it worse is someone from that group then moved down into the pit, disrupted the experience for other fans, and tried again to force the moment. That's when I said enough is enough." "And now I'm being told I was disrespectful because the gift 'took a long time to make.' But here's what's wild lol I spent YEARS making this music. I spent TIME and INTENTION curating this show and this setlist," Russ said. "YOU CANT DEMAND RESPECT FOR YOUR TIME WHILE ACTIVELY DISRESPECTING MINE. TV / Getty The internet has been buzzing over Drake's physique for years now, which was only heightened when Kendrick Lamar referenced his allegedly fake abs on his 'Euphoria' diss track last year. A picture the Toronto rapper posted earlier this month brought that chatter back to the forefront, and for some reason, fans decided to drag Big Sean and his muscles into the mix. Fitness influencer @thenutritionnarc posted a video to social media analyzing the rapper's body, attempting to answer whether the Detroit native has undergone surgery to enhance his body. In his video, the influencer posted several photos and clips of the rapper's torso, saying Sean has 'extremely defined abs' that seem to be 'sitting on top of a bubble gut.' In the end, he ultimately decided that Big Sean had likely received ab etching or had taken steroids, before adding that the rapper has 'very interesting genetics.' After the influencer's video began to make the rounds, Big Sean replied directly in the comment section, denying claims of ab altering and laughing off the allegations. 'Bro, unfortunately mine are real lol,' the rapper wrote. 'I got love for the fake [ab] community tho, to each its own, but what makes this funnier is this is the way God made me.' He went on to joke that when he's out of shape, he 'just happen[s] to look like a chewed up tootsie roll.' 'But i can only speak for myself,' Sean continued. 'I only have to say something cause this s**t is getting way outta hand 😂.' He then added another two comments: 'So just to be clear' and 'No nothing.' In a follow-up video, the influencer revealed that Big Sean had also sent him a message directly, sharing a photo of the DM. 'I commented on your video, this s**t is funny cause thats the way i was made,' Sean wrote, adding, 'i just gained Dad weight n had to crack down on working out as i got older bro.'
