Mika Salamanca on Brent Manalo's clapback to Kira Balinger: 'I understand na we could choose better words'
Mika Salamanca defended her duo, Brent Manalo, after being questioned about his clapback to Kira Balinger in the recent Big Tapatan with the duo challengers. On Wednesday's "Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition," Brent was informed that some netizens were disappointed with how he answered Kira. When Kira told Brent that she doesn't know him yet even after his stay in PBB and asked him who he is, Brent turned the question back to her and said no one cares about Kira that's why she got evicted. Given the opportunity to defend her duo, Mika said, "I understand na we could choose better words pero nung time po kasi na 'yon, sobrang na-bombastic po kami ng lahat ng salita ng housemates na nasa harapan namin." "And I think 'yun din po kasi 'yung bubog ni Brent and naging vocal naman po siya about doon dito sa loob ng bahay and nagulat lang din po kami sa tanong na 'yon," Mika said. Brent then gave his thoughts about the emotional toll of hearing comments from the public. "I hated every second of it. As much as possible, I stay away from reading comments, even the positive ones, kasi ayokong umakyat sa ulo ko din. If tatanungin ako Kuya, kahit nasaktan ako dun sa comment, kahit constructive naman, medyo mahapdi, Kuya," he said. Michael Sager sends love to 'PBB' housemates after ‘Big Tapatan' challenge
Michael Sager has nothing but love for his fellow 'Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition' housemates after the show's Big Tapatan challenge. The Sparkle star took to X (formerly Twitter) to write an appreciation message for the remaining housemates. 'Much love to my housemates. Proud of every single one of them for fighting hard and holding it down. See you on big night,' Michael wrote. Michael was the first male housemate to get evicted from the "PBB" house. He exited alongside his duo Emilio Daez. Michael and Emilio, together with their fellow ex-housemates, returned to Bahay ni Kuya as duo challengers where they were tasked to covertly observe the five duos still in the competition to find out how they really feel when no one is watching. The challengers also picked the duo that they think deserves to make it to the Big Four. In the end, the challengers chose the duo of Charlie Fleming and Esnyr or CharEs to advance to the Big Four. Meanwhile, four other duos will compete for the three remaining spots in the Big Four, which will be determined by three Big Jump challenges. Brent Manalo, Mika Salamanca defend decision to give up slot for Shuvee Etrata, Klarisse de Guzman
Mika Salamanca and Brent Manalo faced the "Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition" house challengers to defend their decision to give up their spot for Shuvee Etrata and Klarisse de Guzman. Monday's episode of the reality series showed the BreKa duo in the Big Tapatan, telling the challengers that they will willingly step aside so ShuKla could return to the competition. Shuvee and Klarisse were the latest housemates to exit from the PBB house. "Kanina tinanong kami ni Kuya kung bibigyan kami ng chance to give up our spot. And may answer na kami. Itong duo na 'to deserve pa ang spot sa bahay," Mika said. "When we came up with this decision, it wasn't really to look like a hero. We want to it because we want to do it. So we are giving up our spot to Ate Klang and Shuvee," Brent added. Upon hearing BreKa's revelation, Klarisse thanked the duo saying that they didn't expect it from them, but said "Sasayangin niyo 'yung slot niyo para sa amin?" Mika then responded, saying it wouldn't be a waste, as they were only giving up a slot—Shuvee and Klarisse would still have to work hard to earn their place on the Big Night. Ashley Ortega and Michael Sager then asked Mika if it was just a part of her game plan. "Lahat ng ginagawa ko sa loob ng bahay ginagawa ko kasi totoo. So hindi siya something na kailangan kong i-push. Hindi siya mahirap para sa akin, even this. Even giving up my spot is not hard for me kasi tapos na ang reason tapos na talaga," Mika explained, adding that her only dream was to enter Bahay ni Kuya. Shuvee then said to Mika, "Mikmik, you're a fighter," which earned a "I am fighting for you" answer from her. "Fifteen years, you've been wanting to become the big winner," Shuvee said. "I don't want to be a big winner," an emotional Mika was quick to respond. "Gusto ko lang maging good housemate at nagagawa ko naman. Ito pangarap mo na 'to di ba! Ikaw ang may pangarap dito. Para sa family mo! I'm giving you the chance!" Despite the intorregations from the housemates, Mika and Brent stood by their decision of giving up their slot for ShuKla. Xyriel then asked Brent why doesn't he want to fight for himself as there are supporters who believe in him. "Alam mo ang reason bakit naniniwala sa akin ang mga taong 'yon, dahil sa kakayahan kong gawin ito na i-give up ang spot na ito. Hindi sila naniniwala sa akin dahil ako 'yung pinakamalakas dito o pinakamabait dito, kasi never ko naman clinaim 'yon pero 'yung rason kung bakit andito ako kasi 'yung mga ganto willing kaming i-sacrifice 'yong slot namin para sa pamilya namin. We're willing to do anything for our family [housemates]," Brent said. In the end, Mika said that their reasons are already good enough and it will not change. "Kahit anong sabihin n'yo, we are willing. Napag-usapan na namin 'to ni Brent," she said. At the end of the Big Tapatan, Kuya revealed that everything was just a test for the housemates. BreKa would keep their slot and ShuKla would not return. Later in the episode, PBB host Bianca Gonzalez announced the CharEs (Charlie Fleming and Esnyr) is the first duo to make it to the Big Four after the voting done by housemates and house challengers. AZ Martinez fires back at 'two-faced' accusations from 'PBB' duo challengers
AZ Martinez did not back down during the heated Big Tapatan on Saturday's episode of "Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Editon." When asked whether she could be considered a good example among the housemates, AZ said yes. "I've been so open in this house to the point na I feel like I even overshare," she said. Ashley Ortega contradicted this. "Paano ka nagpakatotoo sa akin? When you're right in front of me, you're a two-faced person. Are you even happy to see me right now? You're saying, 'I love you all,' do you love me? No, you don't. I know you don't," Ashley said. AZ replied, "Siguro ganon talaga 'yung naramdaman ko sayo kasi hindi ko rin nakita na naging totoo ka." Shuvee then addressed AZ and said, "Feeling ko, AZ, hindi ka nagpapakatotoo." She said that AZ once told her, "Kakampi kita." The two actresses have been friends even before "PBB." "Here comes nominations, you had to nominate me because of the outside world," Shuvee said. "Is betrayal really your thing, AZ?" "No," AZ responded. "You also voted me. You voted for River, but he's still my duo, so basically you also voted for me." Shuvee couldn't help but smile and nod. AZ explained that Kuya's basis for the previous nominations was the housemates' "whole journey." "Hahanapan ko ba ng mali 'yung ibang tao? Wala akong maling nahanap sa kanila," she added. Klarisse De Guzman quipped that naturally, AZ couldn't find anything wrong with Ralph De Leon. AZ returned the question: "Bakit, Ate Klang, may nahanap ka bang mali kay Ralph?", to which Klarisse said no, and jokingly said Ralph is perfect and she had a crush on him. Shuvee then asked AZ if she broke up with her ex-boyfriend Larkin Castor because she fell in love with Ralph De Leon. "No. And na-inlove ba ko kay Ralph?" AZ said. AZ had previously said that after a two-year on-again, off-again relationship, Larkin broke up with her before she entered Bahay ni Kuya because he didn't want her to join "PBB." However, they had still been in contact afterwards, so she wasn't sure where things stood between them. AZ finally let go of Larkin fully during her stay in the "PBB" house through a letter. Dustin Yu and Bianca De Vera defend relationship from duo challengers: 'Totoo to'
Dustin Yu and Bianca De Vera defended their tandem from the 'Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition' duo challengers on Saturday's episode. During their Big Tapatan time, Dustin said that his bond with Bianca was unexpected. However, the duo challengers countered this. Kira Balinger said that Dustin used to always mention her name, whereas AC Bonifacio said that he asked every girl in the house if they were single. Dustin answered that Kira is 'girlfriend material' physically. Kira then asked, 'So if 'di ko naging ka-duo si Josh [Ford], what would you do?' 'To be honest Kira, hindi kita nakikitang magiging duo ko nung mga araw na 'yun. Honestly, 'till lumabas ka, hindi naman talaga tayo naging close so 'di kita pipiliin,' Dustin replied. Dustin then told the duo challengers, 'Sa lahat ng dito, wala 'kong idea diyan sa loveteam loveteam na 'yan.' Kira asked, 'So, ano 'to?' Dustin quickly answered, 'Totoo. Totoo 'to, Kira. 'But just like with any type of friendship or relationship, we believe that from those obstacles, we've grown. We've grown a lot,' the actress added. 'With the toxic part, I feel like I did, I thought we were. Pero, feeling ko hindi naman pala. I think it was just a vital part of what we had to go through inside our journey in this house.'
