Mammoth sign C Jack McBain to five-year deal
July 8 - The Utah Mammoth re-signed center Jack McBain to a five-year, $21.25 million contract on Monday. The contract carries an average annual value (AAV) of $4.25 million. The deal was announced a day after the team elected to take McBain, a restricted free agent, to salary arbitration. McBain, 25, set career highs in goals (13) and points (27) while playing all 82 games last season, his fourth with the franchise. "Jack is an important part of the championship-caliber team we are building, and we look forward to having him back on our roster for the foreseeable future," Utah general manager Bill Armstrong said. The 6-foot-4, 219-pounder has tallied 82 points in 241 regular-season games with Utah and the Arizona Coyotes since being selected in the third round of the 2018 draft by the Minnesota Wild. --Field Level Media
