New Book Offers CRE Owners a Blueprint to Boost NOI,

AUSTIN, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Commercial real estate owners face data reckoning. Fragmented systems, vendor lock-in, rising OpEx, and an AI-powered future demand a new kind of leadership. In their groundbreaking new book, Peak Property Performance: Game-Changing AI and Digital Strategies for Commercial Real Estate (Fast Company Press, June 24, 2025, $26.95), technology entrepreneur Bill Douglas and systems architect Drew Hall deliver a bold, step-by-step framework to help CRE leaders take control of their digital infrastructure, unlock hidden asset value, and build future-proof portfolios. The authors introduce their proprietary 5C™ Framework, a five-step roadmap to transform any property into a data-powered, AI-ready asset: Clarify – Audit every digital asset and data source to uncover opportunities. Connect – Unify fragmented systems into a seamless digital nervous system. Collect – Build a culture where the right people, data, and tools align. Coordinate – Ensure intelligent, real-time systems coordination and apply AI. Control – Act on the insights that drive NOI and competitive advantage. Drawing from decades of work with office, multifamily, and mixed-use portfolios, Peak Property Performance speaks directly to owners, developers, and capital partners navigating a rapidly digitizing CRE market. The authors expose how most portfolios leak value through fragmented systems and untapped data—and show how to reclaim that power, safely and profitably. 'Data ownership is the new location,' says Douglas. 'And if you're not monetizing your building's data and digital infrastructure, someone else is.' Peak Property Performance is available on Amazon and major retailers today. New head takes over Live Borders at 'pivotal time'

New boss for cash-strapped leisure trust at 'pivotal time' 7 minutes ago Share Save Share Save Live Borders Catriona McAllister will take over at Live Borders in the summer A new chief executive has been announced at a leisure and sport trust in the Borders where consultants have recommended a string of site closures and job cuts. Catriona McAllister will take over the post at Live Borders - which was advertised with an annual salary of up to £99,000 - in the summer. Bill Douglas, who chairs the organisation, said she was joining them at a time of "change, renewal and growth". Ms McAllister said she was excited to take on the role at such a "pivotal time". Live Borders runs a range of leisure, sport and cultural facilities on behalf of Scottish Borders Council (SBC). However, last year it needed £2.5m of additional local authority funding - on top of a £4.8m management fee - to keep services operating. A report by consultants has recommended shutting a number of facilities - including swimming pools and libraries - and cutting more than 50 full-time posts. SBC has promised "robust" consultation over the proposals. 'Challenges and opportunities'

Since January 1, 2000, he has the 17th most points by an American defender, while his 0.94 points per game over 399 games ranks first among blue liners from the United States who have played at least three NHL games. As for his first-team partner, New York Rangers' Adam Fox, he sits second in points per game by an American defender with 0.85 over his 393 games. He set a new career-high with 92 points, which was also the third most recorded since the 2000-01 season. For his efforts, Hughes became the first player in franchise history to win the Norris Trophy while also becoming the second American skater to win the award over the past 25 years. Overall, Team USA's Quarter-Century Teams are stacked with talent. The first team consists of Patrick Kane, Auston Matthews, Joe Pavelski and Jonathan Quick, while the second team features Dustin Brown, Johnny Gaudreau, Matthew Tkachuk, John Carlson, Ryan Suter and Tim Thomas. Despite playing fewer than 400 games, Hughes has earned his spot among these great players and has shown this season why he is not only in consideration for the Norris but also the Hart Trophy.
