Eric Trump to headline crypto conference in Hong Kong next month
Eric Trump – the third child of US President Donald Trump – is to headline a Bitcoin conference in Hong Kong next month. The businessman and former reality TV presenter will address the Bitcoin Asia 2025 conference, set to take place on August 28-29 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre in Wan Chai. It comes as the city seeks to establish itself as a crypto hub, whilst the US looks to loosen regulations. Eric Trump will 'share his views on the asset's long-term potential, its role in global finance, and how Asia is shaping the future of Bitcoin adoption,' according to Crypto News. 'We are honoured to welcome Eric Trump to Hong Kong,' said David Bailey, CEO of organiser BTC Inc, according to the website. 'In the past year, he has advised, founded, and invested in financial innovation ventures, becoming one of the industry's strongest advocates on the international stage.' Local lawmaker Johnny Ng is also set to attend, alongside Eric Yip, executive director of intermediaries at the Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission.
