Only in Miami: Here's how the Florida Panthers' racked up $500K at the club

How good of a time did the Florida Panthers have after clinching the Stanley Cup the second year in a row? So good that they're still talking about their rager of all ragers that went down two days after the historic victory against the Edmonton Oilers in Game 6 of the NHL finals at Amerant Bank Arena in Sunrise. During a June 24 episode of Barstool Sports' 'Spittlin' Chiclets' podcast, hosts Ryan Whitney, Paul 'Biz Nasty' Bissonnette, and Keith Yandle, wanted more dirt on the blowout party for the Panthers at downtown Miami ultra club E11EVEN and it was revealed the tab added up to about $500K. At around the 28:15 minute mark, players Sam Reinhart and Matthew Tkachuk popped in to the show from a pool in the Bahamas, where they were indulging in hair of the dog daiquiris. 'Let me ask: 'How are you guys still going?' asked an impressed Whitney. 'Like, what is the sleep since Tuesday night?' 'Probably a couple hours. Couple late afternoon naps to go again,' Reinhart answered, adding, 'It's been a heck of a ride.' 'Yeah, it's been fun,' added Tkachuk. Reinhart noted that the team doctor has been busy helping to get the men's voices back after all the screaming and general mayhem. When Brad Marchand showed up in the pool, Whitney wanted to know why he went back into E11EVEN 'at 5 a.m.' when everyone else was heading home. 'I had to go back and bring it, boys,' he said, with a big grin. 'You don't leave E11EVEN until you get kicked out!' Teammate Tkachuk explained: 'He was going to pay and realized, 'Oh, it was a 500K comp.'' 'Yeah, we were treated pretty well there,' Reinhart agreed. 'They do a good job. They're classy.' Club insiders confirmed to the Miami Herald that the Cats did rack up quite the tab. But half a million bucks isn't the highest in the club's 11-year history, what with high rollers jetting in for such mega events as Super Bowl LIV, Miami Race Week, the Bitcoin conference, Art Basel and more. Judging by the drinks menu, this is not a difficult feat: Bottles of bubbly there start at $395 for a Perrier Jouët Grand Brut up to $12,500 for a jeroboam (three liters) of Dom Pérignon. An insider told us that the reason why the Panthers bill was so expensive is that much of the pricey liquid was not imbibed but used to drench the crowd. 'Championship roads always lead to E11EVEN — and we're thrilled the Florida Panthers chose to celebrate their back-to-back wins with us,' Dennis DeGori, co-founder/concept creator of E11EVEN Miami told the Herald. 'As for the bill? We're still counting empty bottles.'
