Eternity trailer out: Callum Turner or Miles Turner - Who will Elizabeth Olsen choose in this story about afterlife?

The trailer for the highly anticipated afterlife romance 'Eternity' has been released, teasing an emotional and thought-provoking journey featuring Elizabeth Olsen, Callum Turner, and Miles Teller. The film poses a powerful question: what happens after death — and more importantly, who do we choose to spend forever with? In Eternity, everyone is given one week after death to decide where to spend eternity. But for Joan, it's not about the place — it's about the person. Elizabeth Olsen stars as Joan, a woman torn between two great loves. Miles Teller plays Larry, the man Joan built her life with, while Callum Turner appears as Luke, her first love who died in a war. The trailer captures her inner turmoil, hinting at a poignant exploration of memory, regret, and lasting connection. 'After death, everybody gets one week to choose where to spend eternity. For Joan, Larry, and Luke, it's really a question of who to spend it with.' The cast also includes Da'Vine Joy Randolph as Anna, John Early as Ryan, and Olga Merediz as Karen. Eternity is directed by David Freyne, who also co-wrote the screenplay alongside Pat Cunnane, whose original script earned a spot on the 2022 Black List — a prestigious annual ranking of the most-liked unproduced scripts in Hollywood. The film is produced by Oscar-nominated producers Trevor White and Tim White under their Star Thrower Entertainment banner. The project, first reported in March 2024, has been generating buzz for its blend of romantic fantasy and emotional depth. The trailer now offers a glimpse of the heart-rending choice Joan must make — and the afterlife setting that brings the past and present crashing together. The film's release date is yet to be announced.

In new A24 movie 'Eternity,' Elizabeth Olsen must choose between 2 dead husbands

When you die, should you spend eternity with your first husband or your last? That's the question at the center of 'Eternity' — watch the trailer now. Picture this: You die and get to choose how you want to spend forever — which includes your one true love. Sounds pretty sweet, right? Unfortunately, in the case of the new A24 movie Eternity, which dropped its first trailer on Tuesday, the sweet hereafter comes with a catch: You have two dead husbands, and they're both vying for a spot next to you in the afterlife. Eep! Eternity stars Elizabeth Olsen as Joan, the woman in question, who dies shortly after the death of her second husband, Larry, played by Miles Teller. But while Teller's character is eager to get a jump on the rest of their immortal lives, his wife's first husband, Luke, played by The Boys in the Boat actor Callum Turner, appears. Apparently, Luke died in 'the war' decades earlier — and he's been waiting for his wife to arrive to kickstart his own eternity ever since. So, how do you pick?! While the movie will, we hope, answer that question, people who watched the new trailer offered their thoughts in the YouTube comments. Some people thought the ending was reminiscent of Titanic, in which Rose (played by Kate Winslet) seemingly spends the afterlife with her pals on the sunken ship, and her lover-of-two-days Jack (Leonardo DiCaprio) instead of the husband she spent more than 40 years raising a family with. Most people, however, saw Joan picking second husband, Larry, in the end. 'Prediction: Miles Teller wins his wife by giving her his blessing to choose Callum Turner instead of him, because he just wants his wife to be happy and her new husband turns out to be too selfish to do the same, proving Miles Teller cares more about Elizabeth Olsen and that she should pick him,' one wrote. Another said, 'Not me immediately wanting to cry just thinking about how hard it is going to be for her to followed by me thinking, 'Can't all three of them just be together for eternity?'' The idea that Olsen's character may not need to choose resonated with another viewer, who wrote, 'I hope Elizabeth Olsen makes a world for all three of them.' And another joked, 'OMG imagine dying and realizing that compulsory monogamy exists even in the afterlife.' While a throuple is certainly a possibility, Teller's character doesn't believe that it's the best route. When he sees how his wife's former spouse is laying on the romance, he vows to make her remember why she fell for him in the first place. But will it be enough to get to spend eternity with his one true love? Eternity is directed by David Freyne and will premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival in September. Freyne is credited as cowriter of the film along with former Obama White House aide Patrick Cunnane, whose original script appeared on the 2022 Black List of Hollywood's best unproduced screenplays. Eternity is set to hit theaters in November. Check out the trailer below: Solve the daily Crossword

US Terms Pakistan's Pahalgam Mastermind TRF Global Terror Group: Why It Is A Shot In Arm For India

Sources say the government has written yet another letter to FATF to consider India's demand to put Pakistan on the grey list for its involvement in terror activities The United States' acknowledgment of The Resistance Front (TRF), believed to be the mastermind behind the Pulwama terror act, as a global terror organisation is a huge shot in the arm for Indian efforts to ensure that Pakistan is placed on the grey list of Financial Action Task Force (FATF). Sources say that the government has written yet another letter to FATF to consider this demand from India. Pakistan was delisted in 2022 and India has been making the case that the funds and aid which Pakistan gets from global financial institutions are used for terror. In fact, recently, an interim report of the FATF had issued a statement condemning terror acts, which is considered to be rare. The reason, it is believed, is because the international community has felt the severity of the attack and spotlights that such attacks will not go unpunished. Being put on the grey list means the country cannot control money-laundering and terror-financing operations and is put under increased monitoring by FATF, an inter-governmental body. It restricts access to the international trade and financial system. The country can face difficulty in getting loans from multilateral organisations like International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the World Bank. Being on the FATF grey list is a warning to the countries to take corrective measures, failing which they will be moved to the stringent 'FATF Black List'. FATF meeting in September-October The FATF meeting is expected to take place now in September-October. The government has sent many letters and also reached out to make the point that the funds and aid given in 'good faith" are being misused by Pakistan. The money meant for the welfare and upliftment of the Pakistani people is not being used for the cause. Instead, the funds are diverted to fund terror organisations, and which is something the world needs to wake up to. What India has also said is that there is evidence to show that Pakistan's connection to terror acts is like a thread which strings many global terrorist organizations like Hamas. Therefore, it is in the interest of global powers like the US to ensure that Pakistan is put in the grey list. India has been reaching out to FATF members like Mexico, Argentina, Canada, Denmark through backdoor to push its case. With the US now putting the terror label, India has hope. view comments Disclaimer: Comments reflect users' views, not News18's. Please keep discussions respectful and constructive.
