Amazon reduces 'impressive' Blink doorbell that's 'easy to set up' to £40

Amazon has slashed the price of the Blink Video Doorbell and Blink Mini 2 bundle ahead of its Prime Day 2025 sale. Ahead of its Prime Day sale, Amazon has cut the price of a popular wireless doorbell. The massive sale, which will offer shoppers the chance to grab thousands of deals this month, is set to kick off on Tuesday, July 8, and will continue until Friday, July 11. In anticipation of this, Amazon has reduced the price of the Blink Video Doorbell and Blink Mini 2 plug-in smart security camera from £79.98 to just £39.99. The Blink Outdoor is a is a battery-powered HD security camera that operates without wires and allows users to 'answer your door, no matter where you are." According to Amazon, the device boasts a long-lasting battery life, customised alerts, privacy settings and more. The product description further states: "Designed for every home — connect to your doorbell wiring to sound existing in-home chime. Alternatively, get alerts on your smartphone, or use Blink Mini 2 as an indoor plug-in chime, without wiring. "Set it up yourself within minutes, with the two included AA lithium batteries, and then connect to Wi-Fi using the app. The newly designed internal battery seal provides IP54 weather resistance rating." The discounted bundle also includes the Blink Mini 2, a second-generation plug-in smart security camera that "helps you stay connected to what's happening in your home, right from your smartphone." The camera offers 1080p HD live view, night view in colour with a built-in spotlight, a wider field of view, and two-way audio. Alternatively, B&Q stocks the Yale Doorbell White Hybrid Video doorbell for £98, while Argos has the TP-Link Tapo D210 2K Video Doorbell Battery (chime included) for £44.99. Ring also offers the Battery Video Doorbell for £99.99. The Blink bundle has an overall rating of 4 stars online, with many shoppers praising the easy set-up and camera quality. One person said: "Works extremely well. This is a great option as a first door bell camera. You can set it to lower motion activity. Talk to visitors, when your not home. "Great for ignoring undesirable people at the door. Older people may need help, setting it up. Connects to Wi-Fi easily. It stores captures without SD card but best to get 1. Clear vision at night. Well worth the money." A second wrote: "Easy to set up. Good price compared to others works as it should easy to set up very happy with it." A third added: "Excellent quality video with Blink Doorbell Camera - 5 stars. I recently installed the Blink Doorbell Camera, and I am thrilled with its outstanding video quality and overall performance. "This device has become an invaluable addition to my home security system, providing a reliable and crystal-clear view of any activity at my front door." However, some shoppers found issues with the Blink Doorbell Camera bundle. One person said: "Bought a few of these on good recommendations but soon fell out of love with them. Very easy to set up but just would not respond fast enough. "I was getting a knock on the door which I answered then a notification on my phone from Blink 5 - 10 minutes afterwards. A more in depth search found this a common problem and after getting fed up having to reset the doorbell switched to Eufy and instant response to a caller now." A second wrote: "I've only had this six months and pictures blured and camera running to fast, but they don't offer replacement just product support which is rubbish." Despite this, many continued to praise the product. One shopper said: "Very happy with this product, an addition to my outdoor camera system." Another added: " Easy installation. Just installed it. This was quite easy to set up and install. I also bought an angle bracket to ensure it covers my path which is at an angle. Connected it to Alexa also quite easy. Nice picture."

The new Blink video doorbell is finally getting its first deep discount and it's coming as one of Amazon's early Prime Day deals. This wireless model has yet to be discounted at all so this is a unique opportunity to beef up the security on your home at a fraction of its usual cost. Currently, Prime members can get the newest Blink video doorbell for as little as $34, a decrease from its original price of $69. That's 50% off which is the lowest the price has ever been on this device. If you're not a Prime member, you can still get the discount by signing up for Amazon's free 30-day trial. Since Blink is an Amazon brand, Prime Day always happens to be the best time to acquire the best prices for these products. See at Amazon This is the new generation of Blink video doorbell and it gives a top-to-bottom HD picture so you can see whatever is happening at your front door – whether it's a visitor, a package delivery or spontaneous action. With infrared night vision, you have clear video day and night so your front door never goes unsupervised. Two-way conversation enables you to hear and see guests and interact with them face-to-face in the Blink app, so you can greet guests or converse with delivery personnel. The Blink video doorbell takes three AA Energizer lithium batteries and with the provided Blink Sync Module Core, it can offer two years of continuous security protection. What that does mean is you won't be constantly changing batteries or wrestling with wire. It's easy and quick to set up whether you want to stay wire-free or connect it to your existing doorbell wires. If you do wire it, the bell will ring throughout your home. With a Blink Subscription Plan (sold separately), you get person detection alerts and Blink Moments which stitches together video clips into a file that you can save or share. The device supports secure cloud storage, and Amazon offers a 30-day free trial of the subscription so that you can test out all the extra features. For added convenience, the doorbell works beautifully with Alexa devices. At just $34 for Prime members, the Blink video doorbell is an unbeatable deal. Make sure you don't miss it. See at Amazon

You can get 15 percent off Elden Ring Nightreign on Steam and Xbox

Elden Ring Nightreign just launched, delivering a multiplayer-focused, roguelike-meets-Soulslike experience, and it's already discounted. Grab it for Steam or Xbox from Newegg at 15 percent off by entering the offer code XVSAVE at checkout. This lets you get it on either platform for $33.99. We previously saw the game discounted by an additional $2 pre-launch, but this is currently the best price available. Nightreign seems like more of everything that was already great about Elden Ring, plus the ability to squad up with up to three players to cooperatively take on treacherous enemies and bosses. The game utilizes procedural generation to alter some of the base game's locales. So, don't let familiarity get to your head to the point that you're trying to take this adventure on alone (I'm talking to you, let me solo her); both its difficulty and tuning weren't exactly made with solo players in mind. That said, our Ash Parrish is having a blast playing it that way. Other great deals for your Friday Since there's now a newer Blink Video Doorbell, Amazon is slashing the cost of the last-gen Blink Video Doorbell to just $29.99 (from $59.99). Sure, it doesn't have some of the new models' most appealing features, like person detection, higher video resolution (1440p versus 1080p), or a wider field-of-view, but it's still worth considering if you're trying to save money. It uses two AA batteries instead of three in the new model. And, if you want longer battery life, plus the ability to sync extra Blink devices at home, you can opt for the $34.99 Blink Video Doorbell bundle that includes the Sync Module 2. Not bad for a measly $5 extra. For avid fans of The Witcher and Cyberpunk 2077 who can't get enough backstory, the latest Humble bundle goes deep into both worlds with a slate of Dark Horse Comics titles. For $24, you can get 25 comics and graphic novels, including nine volumes of The Witcher, The Witcher: Ronin manga, eight volumes of Cyberpunk 2077, plus multiple art books. One of the most fascinating inclusions is a 1993 comic of The Witcher, which has the first-ever visual representation of Geralt of Rivia. Proceeds from your purchase will go to Special Effect, a UK-based charity that gives to gamers with disabilities. If you plan to buy a bunch of Switch 2 games and accessories, welcome to the club. Also, consider getting a paid My Best Buy Plus membership beforehand (it costs $49.99 per year), as you'll get $20 back for every $150 you spend. You can get up to five $20 promotional certificates on games and accessories. In other words, the membership will pay for itself pretty quickly.
