Blood Covenant: Iranian website raises $40M bounty to assassinate Trump

A shadowy Iranian website calling itself Blood Covenant, or Blood Pact, has sparked international alarm after announcing a USD 100 million bounty for the assassination of US President Donald Trump. The platform claims to have already raised over USD 40 million from supporters, although the figures remain unverified and the site's operators are unknown. The campaign, launched in response to what it calls 'American-Zionist infanticide' and threats against Iran's Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, describes its goal as delivering 'justice' to those who have harmed Iran and its leadership. The website declares, 'We pledge to award the bounty to anyone who can bring the enemies of God and those who threaten the life of Ali Khamenei to justice.' The website denies any affiliation with official bodies and frames its campaign as a grassroots response to years of what it describes as 'US state terrorism.' One message on the site reads, 'This campaign is not funding terrorism. It is funding the fight against U.S. state terrorism.' Another post justifies the campaign in emotional and ideological terms, 'Silent in the face of American-Zionist infanticide, assassination of scientists and high-ranking commanders… now they are worried about Trump's life and are bewilderedly condemning the campaign.' In an attempt to cool international tensions, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian distanced his administration from the any assassination campaigns during an interview with US media personality Tucker Carlson earlier this week. 'The fatwa of warfare has nothing to do with the Iranian government or the Supreme Leader,' Pezeshkian said.

'Micro-drone might hit him': Khamenei's adviser jokes about killing Trump; US President shrugs it off

A senior adviser to Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei joked that US President Donald Trump "could be hit by a micro-drone" while "sunbathing at his Mar-a-Lago resort." The remark was made by Mohammad-Javad Larijani during a televised discussion on Iranian military technology. Larijani, a prominent regime figure and ally of Khamenei, laughed as he said: 'Trump can no longer sunbathe in Mar-a-Lago, because while he's lying down, a micro-drone might target and strike him right in the navel.' The comments aired on July 9 and were first reported by Iran International, a London-based Persian-language news outlet. Larijani, known for his ties to the regime and as a prominent commentator, laughed while making the remark during a discussion on Iran's advanced military capabilities. The quote was reported by Iran International, a London-based Persian-language media network. The outlet linked Larijani's comments to a rising online campaign named "Blood Pact," which is reportedly fundraising for revenge against individuals perceived as insulting or threatening Iran's Supreme Leader. The timing of Larijani's remarks has added to speculation that Tehran may be planning retaliation against the United States, particularly in light of recent American airstrikes on three key Iranian nuclear facilities in June, reportedly carried out in coordination with Israel to hinder Iran's nuclear programme. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like 5 Books Warren Buffett Wants You to Read In 2025 Blinkist: Warren Buffett's Reading List Undo Iran's drone warfare capabilities have become a growing concern for the West, with its Shahed drones having been deployed extensively by Russia in its war against Ukraine, causing widespread damage to civilian infrastructure. During the broadcast, Larijani highlighted Iran's military tech edge, stating, 'Of course, we fight like men,' suggesting that despite the remark, Iran adheres to conventional warfare standards. When asked for comment, the United States Secret Service (USSS) issued a statement saying it does not discuss specific protective intelligence matters. 'We operate in a heightened and very dynamic threat environment and the safety and security of the President and all of our protectees remains our highest priority,' the USSS spokesperson added. President Donald Trump, when asked about the threat during a press interaction at the White House on Wednesday, appeared unbothered. 'It's been a long time. I don't know, maybe I was around seven or so. I'm not too big into it,' Trump said when asked if he still sunbathed. 'I guess it's a threat. I'm not sure it's a threat, actually, but perhaps it is.' Larijani's comment, 'As he lies there with his stomach to the sun, a small drone might hit him in the navel. It's very simple,' was made in reference to Iran's evolving drone capabilities. He also justified the remark as symbolic, even as Iranian online platforms and media outlets have published content glorifying acts of retribution. Trump, who authorised the January 2020 drone strike in Iraq that killed Iranian IRGC commander Qasem Soleimani, has been the target of multiple alleged Iranian assassination plots since. In November 2023, the US Department of Justice charged Farhad Shakeri, believed to be working with the Iranian regime, for attempting to coordinate an attack on Trump. Two American men, Carlisle Rivera and Jonathan Loadholt, were also arrested as alleged co-conspirators. Iran had also previously released a controversial animated video in 2022 depicting Trump being assassinated on a golf course. According to Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty, the video won a state-sponsored animation contest held under the theme of avenging Soleimani's killing. Though Iran agreed to a Trump-brokered ceasefire with Israel 48 hours after the June strikes, its retaliation has so far been largely symbolic. Tehran reportedly launched a missile volley toward a US military base in Qatar, providing advance warning that allowed American personnel to evacuate.

Iran says it could 'simply' assassinate Trump 'as he sunbathes at Mar-a-Lago'

Javad Larijani, senior advisor to Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, said that Donald Trump could be killed "as he lies there with his stomach to the sun" at his Mar a Lago resort in Florida Iran could assassinate Donald Trump while he sunbathes at his Mar-a-Lago resort, a top cleric has warned. An advisor to Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, Javad Larijani, said Trump could be wiped out with a drone strike at his sprawling resort in Florida. Larijani told state TV: "Trump has done something so that he can no longer sunbathe in Mar-a-Lago. As he lies there with his stomach to the sun, a small drone might hit him in the navel. It's very simple." Laughing off the threat, Trump said: "I guess it's a threat. I'm not sure it's a threat, actually, but perhaps it is." ‌ ‌ It comes after a platform was set up online raising funds "to punish" figures who have threated Iran's Supreme Leader. A statement on the site, which is titled "Blood Pact", reads: "We pledge to award the bounty to anyone who can bring the enemies of God and those who threaten the life of Ali Khamenei to justice." A fatwa, which is an Islamic religious decree, has already called for the death of Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu after a top Iranian cleric branded them both "enemies of God" for waging war on Iran. It accuses the men of waging "war against [Allah]" and stressed they "must be made to regret their words and actions". ‌ "Those who threaten the leadership and integrity of the Islamic Ummah are to be considered [mohareb]," it added. Iran's penal code dictates that mohareb - an individual who has waged war on god - should be executed, crucified, or have their right hand and left foot amputated. Exile is another option for mohareb. The cleric also outlawed Muslims the right to support or cooperate with the two leaders and offered would-be killers of the world leaders a bounty from Allah should they succeed. It reads: "It is necessary for all Muslims around the world to make these enemies regret their words and mistakes. ‌ "[A] Muslim who abides by his Muslim duty and suffers hardship or loss in their campaign, they will be rewarded as a fighter in the way of God, God willing." But it wouldn't be the first time Trump has been the target of an assassination plot from Iran. In November last year, it emerged that the FBI had thwarted an Iranian plot to assassinate then president-elect Trump. The US Justice Department announced the murder-for-hire plan to kill the President-elect Trump, charging a man who said he had been tasked by a government official to carry out the killing. Investigators learned of the plot while interviewing Farhad Shakeri, a 51-year-old Afghan national identified by officials as an Iranian government asset who was deported from the US after being imprisoned on robbery charges. He told investigators that a contact in Iran's paramilitary Revolutionary Guard instructed him in September to put together a plan within seven days to surveil and ultimately kill Trump, according to a criminal complaint unsealed in federal court in Manhattan. Two other men who the authorities say were recruited to participate in other assassinations, including a prominent Iranian American journalist, were also arrested today. The two men, named as Carlisle Rivera and Jonathon Loadholt, reside in New York, while Shakeri remains on the run in Iran.

Trump could be hit by drone while sunbathing: Iranian official

Amid escalating tensions between Iran and the United States, a senior Iranian official has warned that US President Donald Trump is no longer safe, even within the confines of his Florida residence, Mar-a-Lago. In a provocative remark aired on Iranian state television, Javad Larijani — a senior adviser to Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei — suggested that Trump could be targeted while has done something that he can no longer sunbathe in Mar-a-Lago. As he lies there with his stomach to the sun, a small drone might hit him in the navel. It's very simple," Larijani said, referring to Trump's role in the 2020 killing of top Iranian general Qassem Soleimani. The threat coincides with the emergence of an online crowdfunding campaign dubbed Blood Pact (or Ahde Khoun in Farsi), which claims to have raised over USD 27 million as of July 8. The platform aims to fund retribution against perceived enemies of Iran's leadership, particularly those involved in actions against Supreme Leader platform's homepage includes a pledge to award the bounty 'to anyone who can bring the enemies of God and those who threaten the life of Ali Khamenei to justice.'Iranian state-linked media, including Fars News Agency, have reported on the campaign, with calls for public support in Iran and developments come in the wake of heightened conflict in the region, including U.S. airstrikes on Iranian nuclear sites and threats of retaliation from Tehran. While Trump has claimed that Iran is open to resuming talks with Washington, Iranian officials have yet to confirm such intentions, and President Masoud Pezeshkian has stated that severe damage from the US attacks has delayed any concrete steps US government has long been aware of threats against Trump, with previous intelligence linking Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) to alleged assassination plots following the Soleimani strike.- EndsTune InTrending Reel
