RuPaul's Drag Race Star Reacts To Cardi B's New Album Being Named After Her Iconic Quote
RuPaul's Drag Race favourite Scarlet Envy has reacted to Cardi B using one of her most iconic quotes as the title of her new album. In a promo interview for the sixth season of All Stars, Scarlet inadvertently created a much-quoted meme when she pondered: 'Is it me? Am I the drama? I don't think I'm the drama… maybe I am. Am I the villain? I don't think I'm the villain.' On Monday, Cardi unveiled the album artwork and title of her much-awaited second album, which comes seven years after her debut release Invasion Of Privacy, and derives its name from Scarlet's famous quote. Now, while not everyone in the Drag Race family was impressed with the Bodak Yellow rapper for using one of the show's quotes, it seems Scarlet herself was more than happy to have been Cardi's inspiration. Popping up in the replies to the Grammy winner's X post about her new album, Scarlet wrote: 'You are the drama mamaaa.' AM I THE DRAMA? 🐦⬛ My new album is out September 19th! Preorder NOW at — Cardi B (@iamcardib) June 23, 2025 You are the drama mamaaa — Scarlet Envy (@ScarletEnvyNYC) June 23, 2025 Scarlet made her Drag Race debut in 2019, when she competed on the show's eleventh season, finishing in 10th place overall. After that, she was invited to compete on the sixth season of All Stars, as well as the second run of the BBC's UK vs. The World Franchise, which is also judged by RuPaul. Meanwhile, fans still have a bit of a wait on their hands for Cardi's new album, which is due for release on 19 September. Her last album premiered in April 2018, winning the Best Rap Album at the following year's Grammys, making Cardi the second woman – and first solo woman – to win the award after Lauryn Hill triumphed as part of the Fugees in 1997. Doechii later picked up the same award for her 2024 release Alligator Bits Never Heal. While her album has been a long time coming, Cardi has still enjoyed plenty of chart success in the last seven years, with hits like Money, Up and the Megan Thee Stallion collaborations Bongos and WAP. Cardi B shows love to boyfriend Stefon Diggs with sweet manicure after going Instagram official
Cardi B's isn't hiding her latest romance. Hot on the heels of hard-launching her relationship with boyfriend Stefon Diggs via Instagram, the 'Bodak Yellow' hitmaker expressed her love with a sweet manicure dedicated to her new flame. Last week, the rapper, 32, performed at Spotify Beach during Cannes Lions 2025, showing off her orange and white striped nails designed by nail artist Coca Michelle, which were painted with the NFL star's full name in script letters. Cardi B's statement-making manicure perfectly coordinated with her custom striped fringe minidress courtesy of Rey Ortiz. She paired the playful number with custom Maison Margiela red Tabi boots adorned with gold fringe. The mother of three confirmed her romance with the New England Patriots wide receiver in an Instagram post, sharing a photo of the two cozying up (and about to go in for a kiss) on a yacht during their Memorial Day festivities in Miami. She also included two separate slides with a slew of red roses, which may or may not have been from the NFL star. 'Chapter 5 ……Hello Chapter six,' she captioned the post. 'I speak on behalf of everyone when I say we love to see our girl being loved correctly and out loud!!! ,' one fan commented. Another agreed, writing, 'When I say I love this for you… Girl!!! Way to move on ' A third joked, 'Offset is OFF, Now it's stefON!' The pair sparked dating rumors in February when they were seen partying in New York City and later spent Valentine's Day together. Her new fling comes amid a messy divorce from her estranged husband, Offset. She publicly slammed him on X (formerly Twitter) earlier this month, accusing the rapper, with whom she shares children Kulture, 6, Wave, 3, and Blossom, 8 months, of not helping her financially. 'A whole year straight, you have left me with the kids' bills. Y'all want to know what's the kids' bills? Start adding,' she said on the online platform. 'My kids got their own driver. They pick them up from school, they drop them off and they take them to gymnastics and … boxing classes. The kids' driver is on a retainer for $10,000 a month,' Cardi B continued. Diggs, meanwhile, has been bonding with the toddlers, recently rocking the same braids as Wave and sending Offset into a spiral.
