Superstar Chad Gable has been scheduled for surgery in early July. The wrestler sustained an injury from his confrontation with Penta Chad during the latest episode of Monday Night Raw.
The brief backstage brawl between the wrestlers resulted in Penta using his armbar move, which injured Gable's shoulder. According to reports, the angle was carried out to write Gable off television, owing to an undisclosed former injury.

As per reports by and Chad Gable was written off WWE TV following the backstage segment. In the segment, Gable confronted Penta after the latter lost to Bron Breakker during Monday Night Raw.
Gable mocked Penta's loss and vowed to rip off the latter's mask. The verbal exchange took no time to turn into a full-on brawl, and Penta used his armbar on Gable. Gable was left screaming in pain on the ground.
Why did WWE write Chad Gable off Television?
Bodyslam and PWInsider reported that the angle was carried out to write Gable off television due to a previous undisclosed injury. The segment was basically to cut down the workload on the wrestler until he recovers completely.

The wrestler's return to WWE TV now remains uncertain.
In another report by Fightful Select, El Grande Americano suffered an injury in the same way Gable did. This raises the question of coincidence as to how two different individuals got injured in the same way in the same body part. Fans believe that Gable is carrying out a double role within the promotion. However, nothing has been confirmed as of yet.
