Saudi Arabia Participates in Muscat International Book Fair 2025
The Literature, Publishing and Translation Commission has inaugurated Saudi Arabia's pavilion at the Muscat International Book Fair 2025, according to the Saudi Press Agency. Dr. Abdul Latif Al-Wasil, the commission's CEO, noted that the Kingdom's participation in the event stands as a testament to the strong cultural relations between both Saudi Arabia and Oman. Al-Wasil also mentioned that the fair provides Saudi publishers with a valuable opportunity to engage with other publishers from different nations and cultural backgrounds. Importantly, the commission is partnering with various entities during the fair, as follows: King Salman Global Academy for Arabic Language King Abdulaziz Foundation for Research and Archives (Darah) Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance King Abdulaziz Public Library King Fahd Quran Printing Complex Taibah University Through a comprehensive cultural program, the Saudi pavilion showcases various glimpses into the Saudi cultural landscape such as literary seminars, dialogue sessions, and poetry evenings. In line with Saudi Vision 2030, the pavilion promotes investment opportunities in the Kingdom's cultural sector. Set to run until May 3 at the Oman Convention and Exhibition Centre, the fair features the participation of 35 countries and 674 publishing houses. Saudi Arabia Participates in Bologna Book Fair 2025
Saudi Arabia is taking part in the Bologna International Book Fair 2025, running from March 31 to April 3 at the Bologna Fiere Exhibition Center in Italy, reported the Saudi Press Agency (SPA). The Saudi Literature, Publishing, and Translation Commission is leading the Kingdom's participation in the Bologna Book Fair, inaugurating Saudi Arabia's pavilion at the prestigious event. On this occasion, the CEO of the Saudi Literature, Publishing, and Translation Commission, Abdullatif Al-Wasel, emphasized that Saudi Arabia's participation in the Bologna Book Fair 2025 aims to highlight several initiatives and programs that aim to advance the publishing industry and boost cultural engagement. These initiatives include supporting the global presence of Saudi publishers and literary agents, showcasing Saudi Arabia's rich cultural heritage, and introducing the Kingdom's local literary output. Furthermore, Al-Wasel noted that this international book fair provides a key platform for empowering the publishing sector, providing Saudi publishers with a unique opportunity to connect and exchange knowledge with counterparts from across the globe.
