Honey Singh got three tattoos in one night, including his mother's signature and AR Rahman's name. He kept the second tattoo a secret.
Musician and rapper Honey Singh got inked for the first time – and not with one but by getting three tattoos the same night. Each tattoo that the Lungi Dance singer got had a profound significance. The first tattoo that he got was a tribute to his 'blood" – his mother. The second tattoo was kept a secret. The third tattoo, surprisingly, was of Oscar-winning music composer AR Rahman.
Honey Singh flaunted his first tattoo on Instagram. It was his mother's signature, connected to a image of a baby in womb. 'Got my first TATTOO DONE !! My mums signature THE RICHEST LADY on earth !! I love you mummy shoutout to my blood," he wrote. Sonu Sood, Shehnaaz Gill hailed his tattoo. Take a look:
The singer then directly jumped to his third tattoo, skipping revealing the second. It was the signature of AR Rahman, someone, whom Singh deeply cherishes. 'My third tattoo in one night for my lovely living legend @arrahman sir !! I love you sir thank you for everything not gonna post my second tattoo coz its very personal #tattoo #yoyohoneysingh #arrahman #music #godofmusic." Take a look:
Fans were equally curious about his second tattoo which he hid from the world. Many also wondered whether it related to his rumoured girlfriend, Heera Sohhal.
Meanwhile, Honey Singh has often spoke about his admiration for AR Rahman, whom he refers as the 'God of Music'. In 2023, he appeared on a talk show and said that it's his dream to collaborate with the music composer and together, they can aim for a Grammy. He told The Bombay Journey, 'This is my dream, It might take 10-12 years more for me to achieve it, I want to produce a song and I want AR Rahman sir to sing the song. I'm sure that I will get a Grammy for that song and AR Rahman will give me that award."
Honey Singh is known for songs such as Blue Eyes, Lungi Dance, and Desi Kalakaar. He also opened his life to the public in a Netflix documentary titled Yo Yo Honey Singh: Famous, where he spoke about his alcoholism, struggles with mental health, fame, downfall and rising like a phoenix.
